A critique on the judgement of habit, when does market analysis become too invasive?
Personally I don't mind information being kept about my purchases nor anything else if it's treated anonymously. Gets me wondering though, when is Big Brother here watching us?
Read the related New York Times article "How Companies Learn Your Secrets".

This is interesting, part of my new project. Taking parts from old, otherwise destroyed, furniture making new interior design. My father did most of the work here.

“Watch your thoughts, for they become words. Watch your words, for they become actions. Watch your actions, for they become habits. Watch your habits, for they become character. Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.”

Sorry for the blurry image. Among other curiosities I have an adjustable life size doll to help when I make or remake clothes. I used to sew a lot when I was younger. Now that I don't have time it's used keeping some of my accessories that I rarely use, read as never. It's too tacky.

With many things happening at once I should also decide which school I want to go to during my exchange year.
So far the schools I'm interested in are in England, Japan and Italy. None of the schools in the US that I wanted to attend have any contract with my University which would make it much more expensive, more paperworks and less prearranged activities.
As for Japan I would have to learn Japaneese and get at least nearly perfect scores which would make all my schoolwork much more intensive. It would be possible though, I'm on the verge on getting a contract in Lund.
I love London and Milan though.

Legend say that you can find sharks in the water of Pensacola through Google Maps.
With weather this cold who doesn't long for something more south? Tried to find sharks through Google today with no success. I should have better luck when I go there visiting my oldest cousin and her husband.

Can you keep a secret? Valentine is coming up and rather than having my own detours I'm plotting for others'. So far I've got parts of the menu and some music set. Selection of chandeliers, white linen and candles awaits.

I adore this cover by Alexander Rybak. There is also a second part were he tricks the girl into kissing him. So sweet!

Waking up with Adele's Cold shoulder on my tounge. I had a dream with a very good and complicated plot having this song as soundtrack. Too bad I don't remember the story.

Rice revolution and salmon gratin with blue cheese
During one and a half year of being away from my parents I made rice three times. I always get disappointed by my rice and sometimes complain that I miss my mother's way of making rice. It tastes like popcorn, only better. This week she reminded me. We do not eat rice regularly at home neither so it is feasible to forget.
My invention of the day is the salmon gratin with blue cheese, my only regret is that I did not use more cheese - it was delicious!

Sorry for the late publish. Last Friday, I competed with Meleny, Irene and Kalle in the race of designing the best plan to one of our University's facilities with the possibility of winning both money and honour.
Even though it was six hours long and quite intense it hardly felt like any work. We did not win, though we had plenty of fun.
The project was divided into four phases, see the illustration above. Before each phase the teachers presented what they expected us to do. As an afterthought we would have liked more time for the implementation than trying create concepts - something to try on my current projects.

My schedule for next week, not too bad considering I already know much of the classes already. This is what happens when you transfer between universities in Sweden. Apparently there were two additional people transfering from LTU in my economics class. They also need to complete some parts of the course to make it count in graduation.

It's weird how much affection we put into belongings. To some extent as for my computer or my favourite piece of clothing I understand - but to go as far as to a bag charm? Need to be a very special one.
I suppose if I were a marketer or owning a company successfully creating neediness might be a very good thing.
