Ethan went back to Scotland to pack his bags before moving into the house that Lorcan bought himself and Rory. He got a job at a muggle radio station and got accepted to a one year broadcasting school in Dublin. Ethan found out about both things the day before his wedding, making that week one of the happiest in his life. 

After a year of doing muggle broadcasting and going to school Ethan finally got a job at the WWN. At first he would work odd hours, but soon he was given the primetime morning show which he got to produce. After many years as an on air personal he was offered the head of news position which he gladly took. He is known for his no-nonsense questions and his cool head during a crisis. 

Ethan and Rory also had two children Ryan and Ella. He loves his children and loves being a father. It’s something that brings him joy. As for Ethan and Rory they stayed very much in love and are complete partners, leaning on one another as they dealt with the joys and disappointments of life together.

He pulled her closer as he leaned in to kiss her on the lips once more, enjoying the moment with her. 

“Stuck doesn’t seem like the right word,” Rory said, kissing him back. “But I like what it means.”

Ethan smiled then nodded his head. “I’m glad you think that,” he gently bumped his shoulder with his own. “Okay enough of this mushy stuff.”

“I think so. We learn to work with the strangeness,” Ethan said with a chuckle. 

“Of course,” Ethan said with a nod. “I hope whatever is decided its the decisions that makes the most people happy.” He smiled at her enthusiasm then nodded his head. “Good, I’m glad you’ll be there.”

“Yes, we will,” Ethan said with a smile. 

Hannah wanted to keep arguing, but she shook her head with a laugh and decided not to. “I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.”

“You know my family very well,” Ethan said with small smile. “Yes you do,” he said with a smile, leaning over to kiss her on the lips gently. “You’re stuck with me.” 

“I wouldn’t be against her coming down,” she said. “Or more of your family. But I know your da will have to work and your ma won’t leave him.” She looked over at him and ran a hand over his cheek. “I guess I need to get used to the idea that you’ll be with me every day now.”

“Yes! I’m all for Italian care packages.” He looked at him then shook his head. “Trust me you definitely did. You’ve been my most consistent friend.”

“Because people feel strange when they are sentimental,” Ethan said with a smile. “Yeah, life is strange like that.”  

He looked over at Justine as she explained what was going on with her parents. “I think that can do it. At least I hope so, because I would hate for this to have permanently destroy your family. Especially since they were both a little right.” Ethan bumped her shoulder with his own then looked up at the stars. “You’ll be there for my wedding right?”

“I don’t know, you never know. Comes in the places you least expect it.” 

“Oh… I doubt that a Scottish guy would want to be with me,” she said with an immediate shake of her head.

“So I’m guessing you’ll be going to healing school?”

Ethan smiled then looked at Luka. “Good, and then you’ll go to Italy and will send me amazing Italian food items.” He clapped him on the shoulder. “I wanted to thank you for your advice this year.”

“Rory,” Ethan said, leaning in to kiss her on the forehead. “I promise I will spend a few days with them, but then I need to make sure we’re good. My family will understand, might even brings Mads with me to help.” 

“You don’t have to do that,” she said softly. “You can spend some time with your family. I don’t want to take you from them,” she assured him.

He raised his drink in the air. “Then let’s.”

“I’d drink to that,” Aidan agreed.

He smiled then nodded his head. “Exactly. At any moment, maybe even at our wedding. I have some Scottish blokes that could be quite charming.” 

“Well then they could come at any time because I’m not expecting anything,” she admitted softly.

“Yes, need to help with wedding plans and get our place settled. Then get a job.” 

“You’ll be moving that quickly?” she asked, surprised that he was coming down so soon after graduation.

“Limitless, I can get use to that.” He looked over at Luka gesturing to him. “You’re coming to the wedding, right?”

“Sometimes corny is definitely true,” Ethan said with a smile, thinking of his own feelings about Rory. “Yeah, and I managed to do it without burning bridges. Something that I wasn’t sure if it was possible.”  

He nodded his head in agreement as she talked about how strange it was to watch their classmates start laying down the paths to the rest of their lives. “It really is insane. Life is strange, isn’t it?” Ethan looked over at Justine for a moment, wondering about her parents. “You think your parents will work things out?”
