Now I am proud to be Hufflepuff :)
How do you think Hufflepuff loyalty differs from Gryffindor loyalty?
GREAT question, thank you!
Disclaimer: What I am about to say is just my opinion. You’re allowed to disagree.
The reason why we Hufflepuffs are known for our fierce loyalty is because we choose to be loyal. Let me explain.
I feel like a Gryffindor’s loyalty is mostly guided by their moral code. Because Gryffindors value daring, nerve and chivalry, they feel like they must save the world. They believe it’s their responsibility to do the right thing and be brave. Like their mascot lion, that is known to be the “king” of the jungle, they refuse to surrender because that’s not what a “king” does. So a Gryffindor with a very strong moral compass stays loyal because they think “ I am a good person. My friends need me and the brave and right thing to do is to stay by their side”
However a Hufflepuff does not really care about that. A Hufflepuff recognizes that they have a choice to be bad and disloyal. Don’t get me wrong. We have a strong moral code too but I feel like when it comes to loyalty we don’t really care about doing the “brave and right thing”. We just know that our community/friends needs us, and we just go for it. Is it the right thing? Maybe not. But we don’t care. Take for example all the Hufflepuffs who chose to stay in the Battle of Hogwarts. Most of the fandom keep forgetting that almost all Hufflepuffs stayed and fought and many of them lost their lives at the age of 17. I don’t think they stayed because they thought it was their responsibility. They couldn’t care less about morals at that moment. They just realized that their school needed them and they chose to sacrifice their lives because they wanted to protect their people. They knew they had a choice. They knew they could’ve just left. But they chose not to.
A Hufflepuff’s loyalty is so fierce because when needed, they can and they will ignore their moral code for the people they’ve chosen to be loyal to. They will kill someone even though they know that it’s not moral, in order to save their friends. They know about the consequences of their actions and they’re ready to live with guilt forever as long as their people are safe. A good Gryffindor might have second thoughts because they are so guided by their emotions and moral code (like Harry Potter for example). But Hufflepuffs, ike our mascot badger, seem tamed but we can turn into monsters when our people are in danger. Not because we have to, not because it is the right thing to do, but because we choose to do it.

In Mexico City, gay and lesbian couples can adopt since 2009. Yesterday the Mexican Supreme Court rulled that same sex couples are a family model recognized by the Constitution, and therefore, they have the right to adpot in all of Mexico. Since yesterday all Mexicans have the right to form a family. I made this to celebrate.
