The bed was hot, you were horribly sweating and the fact it was summer made it worse. You got yourself caught up in a fever due to getting sun poisoned. The fan was giving hot breeze - and all you wanted was to be thrown in a huge pool of ice. The headache was unbearable, its like everything was going wrong. Sae-byeok was no where to be seen, she told you she had went out to buy groceries but you knew she was gonna take long since she could never pick the right things to buy. You didn't tell her about the fever - but there were signs you were sick. You tossed and turned in your bed, your body telling you to get up - but you were too lazy to. Your legs were hurting, afterall. Your hair sticked to your forehead, although you showered a while ago it felt like you didn't. You whined, " why am i so unlucky . . . " and almost as if she heard you, the door swung open. " hey, get up - stop being so lazy. " Sae-byeoks voice called out. There was no response coming from you. That sentence alone made you feel irritated, who was she to be telling what to do and what not to do? Yet, you couldn't get angry. She wasn't informed about how you felt. Sae-byeok was worried, " the hell is she.. " - she opened the bedroom door and oh my god. " ok, so .. what the fuck happened to you. " she said, as she was trying to process what she was seeing. For starters you looked like a fucking zombie. " i dont know.." You whined, your statement ending with that 'uh' elongation. You threw a pillow over your head - hearing her mock your whiny tone. She came closer and sat on the bed. " move. " you said, but you didn't mean it one bit. She placed her head between your neck and whined, mocking the way you sounded. "Why?" Her whine ending with that 'uh' elongation. You moved the pillow and hit her on her arm. She yelped before laughing breathily. " but seriously, what happened to you? " She was trying not to look worried, since you were used to her teasing you. " i'm sick. " Those two words surprised her, how are you even sick? How did that happen to you? " oh damn- " she said, slipping away from you to get something from outside. Sae-byeok had brought ice cream for herself, originally. But she saw the state her girlfriend was in. Now was not the time to be selfish. She came back, ice cream and a cold glass of water in hand - meanwhile you were still cuddled with a pillow, head beaming with pain. " hey - " sae-byeok said meekly, before shaking you slightly to get your attention. You turned your head, seeing sae-byeok handing you a ice cream bar - you grabbed it, before sitting up and eating it. She looked at you, expecting something in return. " so like.. " you looked at her mid-bite, as if you were a deer caught in headlights " thank you.. " She smiled before sitting beside you, watching you eat. " why are you being weirdly nice today? " you asked, side eyeing her. " just eat. " she quipped - she was just shy, so she covered that up by being teasing. Oh, but she loved you to death.
