If your character were to get a tattoo, what would it be? Would it be something with a deep meaning, or would it just be for funsies?
Bonus: Which of your characters would get a drunk tattoo and regret it in the morning (or maybe even not regret it)?

Hi! I've had a crazy couple of weeks and did not give this the proper promotion this deserves, so I'm extneding the deadline for applications to the 15th of June! A little over two weeks left to apply!
Help Me Start a Literary Magazine! | The Fruity Review Masthead Applications
Tumblr media
Hey Writblr!
I have some exciting news, which has been spoiled a bit by my title. I'm starting a literary magazine!!
I'm calling it The Fruity Review My vision is that it will be a magazine run by queer youth, publishing queer youth. If it came down to it, I could probably run the magazine by myself, but in order to give it it's best shot I wanted to get a small crew of 5-6 people (including me) to work together on it. Here are some positions that I'm looking to fill:
-Submission Editor
-1-2 Social Media Managers (Tumblr, TikTok, and Instagram)
-1-2 Social Media Media Content Creators
Some people may fill multiple roles, it'll all depend on who's intrested. If you are intrested, here is a form for you to fill out. Applications will close 5/31, and I'll reach out to people the first week of June. Some important information before you apply:
a. I would like The Fruity Review to be run by queer people, so only apply if you fit somewhere on the LGBTQIA2+ radar
b. This will be a labor of love. I'm not making any money, you won't be making any money. Please don't apply if you need to spend your time elsewhere.
This is probably annoying, but below the cut line I'll be tagging a of my mutals. Forgive me! Feel free to give this a share, thank you!

Dear LGBTQ people trying to figure out who they “need to” come out to:
Your identity is your business and nobody else’s. If you want to share it with the world, that’s wonderful! If you don’t feel comfortable sharing it with certain people, you don’t need to and it’s perfectly fine! Others knowing your identity is not a necessity, it is a luxury. And you’re the only one who gets to decide whether or not they deserve it.

Hi Lol
Tumblr media
[start ID/ cartoon-style space landscape with a spaceship, small planets and stars, a large moon in the left corner and green clouds along the bottom. across the middle text read: "Ev's Return From The Void"/ end ID]
(is it pathetic that I go on unannounced hiatus so often that I have a specififc banner for it? probably)
Hey Writblr!
Been a hot minute! I don't want to get too much into the details, but I had some mental health troubles and needed to take a break from posting and writing. My orginal plan was to take the entire month of April off from posting and from my "write" every day challenge, but I'm in much a better spot than I was a month ago, and with my semester wrapping up, I've found myself having free time for the first time in forever. So I've decided instead to slowly return to my old posting habits over the next few weeks.
Starting tonight, I'll go back to my daily posts updating the "write" every day challenge. I also have a couple of tags that I'm going to post this week. It might be a little longer until I'm back to my update posts.
To wrap up this post on a high note, I have another publication! My poem "Mama" is going to be published by Inlandia next month. This is my first big publication, and I'm excited to share my favorite poem I've ever written with you guys once it's out.
See you soon!
Cheers,
-Ev

30 Day Writblr Challenge Day 16 | What's more important to you: worldbuilding, characters, or plot?
Hey Writblr,
Day sixteen of the #chazzawrites challenge, and today's question is what is more important to you: worldbuilding, characters, or plot?
For me, definetly characters. Most of my stories start with an idea for the main character or a set of characters. It's also what I spend the most time prepping before I start writing, and what I pour the most of my energy into when drafting.
That's all for today! I'll see you all tommorrow!
Cheers,
-Ev

30 Day Writing Challenge Day 15 | Are you a plotter, a pantser, or somewhere in the middle?
Hey Writeblr, Day fifteen of the #chazzawrites challenge! Halfway there! Today's question is: are you a ploter, pantser, or somewhere in the middle? Honestly, I'm not sure. It depends on the genre or form of the project, and how unhinged I'm feeling. In the past, I've throughly plotted projects and done a disastrous NaNoWriMo with essentially only vibes. But generally speaking my process looks something like this: Video game: outline Poetry: just vibes Novels: a mix, kind of outlining as I go Short Story: mostly vibes, sometimes I write down a very loose scene order if I kind of know what I'm doing That's all I have today. I'll see y'all tomorrow! Cheers, -Ev

What did I do: I got a new novel idea, so I took some notes on it (and forgot to post about it, which was very silly of me)

"Write" Every Day--March
Tumblr media
Wow, we're already on month three! If you don't know, I'm attempting to "write" every day of this year. Here's a little more on the rules:
1. What counts as “writing”: drafting, editing, pre-writing (outlining, writing summaries, exercises, etc.)
1a. Must be a personal project. Any writing I do as assignments for my writing school does not count. Neither will writing blog posts.
1b. Although pre-writing counts as writing, those words won’t go towards my word count.
2. Minimum of one sentence. No maximum.
3. Reblog this post every day with word count and what I worked on for the day.
Now that we’re on the same page, let’s hop right in.
DAY SIXTY
Word Count: 101 (revised)
What did I do: I decided to completely overhaul my poetry collection, bascially on nothing but a whim. I edited two poems, one of which only needed a few line edits and the other which needed a complete re-write. I'm much happier with these versions, and I'm glad I went along with my gut without having to agonize over it for months.
Cheers,
-Ev

30 Day Writblr Challenge Day 14 | Have you ever been published?
Hey Writeblr! Day fourteen of the #chazzawrites challenge, today's question being: have you ever been published? I have, just very recently! My poem First Date was published in the latest issue of Red Bean Press, a magazine that publishes writblrs! Here's the link if you want to read it. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of pieces that are at a submittable stage and I don't have a lot of time to keep up with submissions, so I'm not going to really pick up the pace until after this school year ends. But hopefully soon enough I'll have some more pieces to share. That's all for today. I'll see y'all tomorrow! Cheers, -Ev

30 Day Writblr Challenge Day 13 | Have you ever finished a draft?
Hey Writblr,
Day thirteen of the #chazzawrites challenge (the spooky number :0), and today question is: have you ever finished a draft?
I have finished a couple of drafts over the years. My poetry collection (before I reimagined it) had three drafts, and my novel The Proximate Cause of Broken Glass had a previous NaNoWriMo draft finished, etc. I am a little embarassed about the ratio of drafts that I've actually finished to drafts that I've abandoned, but I'm working on that, as abandoning drafts is a natural part of the creative process.
That's all for today. See you all tommorrow!
Cheers,
-Ev
