Curious.... I wonder if it's Karen who has gotten hurt?? There were spoilers of Karen having hospital papers being hurt by a demogorgon a little while ago... Not sure if they were real though they looked kind of weird..? But maybe Karen did get hurt trying to protect Holly? Maybe she did go to the hospital and Nancy's crying because Karen is bleeding out?

These two scenes are not related. Nancy is wearing different outfits and her hair is dry and tidy presumably after the fact. This is not happening in quick succession to one another. If she's washing his blood off of her hands how did she get into a new, nice and dry shirt before doing so. She's also in the Upside Down in one and then in the Rightside Up in the second. There's a considerable amount of time dividing these moments. My guess is a more minor character might've died or that it's not related to anybody dying at all. Them editors know what they're doing.

Like this is very likely. This entire scenario sucks for will. Being in love thinking it it won't happen, just to find out that he's actually into you and has been lying this whole time. Weather Michael was confused whether he was in love with will or it was just a crush. This would be frustrating for will to find out while the world is ending. Will trying to take charge and kill vecna while seeing the way Mike looks at him and how close they're getting.... Seeing more signs of this. Once Michael makes it very obvious and makes sense for will to be a little pissed off and bitter. I think Michael kind of accepts will thinking he's a jerk. Mike will probably tell will "I don't expect you to forgive me" but at the same time "we can be together now" Michael will probably apologize a couple of times. The hints of this are interesting...

I want to point out the importance of Michael hugging his mom. Michael will likely come out to Karen first than anyone else. Hugging s1,s3,s4

They hug at the end of season 3 and the end of season 4. she's also afraid of Mike leaving for college. She's protective of him. We likely see this in season 5. If we get to see them graduating, he'll probably be leaving for college soon after. But the likeliness of Michael coming out gay to Karen is there. In s1 Karen and Mike have a very queer-coated conversation of conversation. Hiding el in his closet, talking about Will.

Mike and Will standing on the field in s4, like all the other couples paired together is very much foreshadowing. Don't think this is queer baiting it means something.

El not talking to Mike, closing the door on him. As she opens up the door for Hopper, watching her mother and her brother's hug, she's ready to step into her own power and be supported by family and friends.

This scene is symbolic even without hearing Hopper’s letter , just watching it alone is a proof.

First we see the couch and the window where Byler will sit together end of the Season 4, and sunlight streams through — falling on that exact spot, just as it will later fall on them.

Then we see Eleven and Joyce, both lost in thought and grief for Hopper. But Joyce doesn’t cry — because she will be the one to bring him home. Meanwhile, Eleven will be the one who cries when she finally sees him again.

After that, we watch Mike looking toward Will’s house, preparing to go home and cry to his mom , exactly as he did when he thought he had lost Will in Season 1.

And between these moments, we see Will crying, with Jonathan noticing — foreshadowing the same dynamic we’ll witness again in Season 4.

It shows that the Duffer Brothers knew exactly what they wanted to do with the later seasons. The way Season 4 ended can not be overlooked.

Reminds me of Bridgeton -Netflix show

Every season the main romantic couple gets a glow up. Their skin is clear and smooth and soft and their outfits are a lot more sitting. Other characters will have side Burns, wrinkles and will have less glow to them to pronounce the main romantic relationship to the most attractive characters. I feel like this is an often practice. Will is ready to be a more pronounced main character the general audience will fall in LOVE with. Most likely Mike but whoever Will's love interest is they'll be falling instantly 🤭 (likely Mike tho he's really not prepared for him) lol

the thing i love about them basically debuting will's new look with this specific picture is. i mean. look at it. they're framing him so specifically. they clearly took a lot of care with the angling, the outfit, the lighting, the whole aura. they made sure he looked handsome. THE DUDE HAS A GOLDEN GLOW.

like.... c'mon. when they showed gaten's season five look it was not given all this pizazz. do u know what i'm going for here? they didn't even do that with everybody's favourite puppy dog steve harrington. papa netflix's favourite pumpkin pie didn't get the golden glow. william byers got the glow. okay.

they didn't just want to give him a new outfit, the audience is supposed to have a new perspective. the aim is for it to feel like a transformation. this is not his "gets rejected and is really sad about it" look. this is a "gets the man" look.

he was already canonically attracting attention in season four, but his costuming was simplistic with an emphasis on making noah look youthful - we were told how he looks by other character's reactions to him more than anything the framing was doing.

this definitely feels like they wanted his s5 look to read as lead character with a romantic plotline energy. we're supposed to be taking will seriously both when it comes to the plot and romantically. season five he's "growing into himself as a man" or whatever? yeah. he's smooching a dude on the mouth absolutely. mike wheeler get ready

he had a hard time handling him at the airport he's literally Not prepared for this.

Thought about this quite a bit when I first got in to byler. It makes sense that it would be some kind of vision Mike, El, or Will may have, or a in general flashback. We could see Mike trying to call Will, seeing him being depressed.

Lucas's book: talks about Mike staying in the basement and playing video games alone all the time.

Dustin's book: they have a conversation about his relationships "between El and will.. I feel keep losing them" (something like that) there's a lot of other things in Dustin's book were mikes weird about Will and el.

These books are both after season 3 and before season 4.

Not too crazy to think that these little details in the books, and mentioning mike whining about not being able to get ahold of the buyers aka Will. But not telling will he tried to call? Quite odd to me. This obviously could be hints and not just happening behind the scenes without the audience knowing, but hinting that at some point they're going to reveal all this specifically. But it was present in the writing the whole time under our noses.

Max was writing letters in Mike's basement at his desk. Obviously one of the letters was "dear bill". But the song they played during Max's letter monologue is called

"letter to Willy" Billy's real name is William but never in the show did it ever seem important. I didn't even know until I saw his headstone in season 4. But why name a character the name of an already pre-existing character??? Max has never called Billy Willy...

My point is, Mike might have been trying to call will and not get the hold of him. He tried writing to will but had no idea what to say. The most authentic thing he can write was probably an apology maybe some kind of confession. He hid it or threw it away (maybe)

Lot of people thought Mike had a letter in his pocket and season 4 (I didn't it seemed too far fetch and which it was not true obviously)

I don't know if this confession letter would come back into playing..(If there's one at all) Or if there's any letter, he threw them away. The letter is not important tho...

Mike tried to call and to write to will. He was depressed playing games in the basement alone in Lucas's book. The basement/ is a total mess, (depression mess) in season 4 when Max is down there writing letters. "Letter to Willy" representing Mike trying to write a letter to him. Contemplating his relationship between El and will in Dustin's book.

This makes sense on why Michael was so cold to Will and awkward with him at the airport, Mike tried.. and Mike's POV will didn't care.. El's letters made it seem like they were happy. Will didn't call, Will didn't write. But el says he has a crush on some new girl??? Will said it wasn't possible to replace Mike at the end of season 3. Looks like he did to Mike :( Mike's passive aggressive to will and says he ruined the entire day and at Rink-o-mania. He's obviously projecting his anger and feelings onto him.. but we all know this already 🤭

Note: this may be a small hunting at it but Michael official Spotify playlist has a song called "telephone operator" very much seems to be about Mike trying to call Will. Definitely a song that would be in a montage. Maybe they can use it? Don't know why this song would be in the otherwise. (I think) the song is about consistently calling somebody you're in love with, feeling frustrated and very fast moving.

Haven't thought about this since season 4 but still good to know.

okay so I had a a vision. I think we are gonna get either a flashback or a reference (not necessarily a montage but maybe) about an event that hints at Mike's feelings pre s5 but I'm like 91% sure it will include Mike trying to call Will in the time between s3 and s4. or at least revisiting the idea that he he complained to Dustin about it.
