Rumors of a large, snakelike beast circulate the island. Children speak of noises they hear: the rattle of a tail, the flick of a tongue, whispers from a voice that dramatically drags out the letter "s" in any word it speaks, glowing yellow eyes appearing from the creepers , sickly-looking arms, and a torso followed by a long, scaly tail. A beast that spreads fear throughout the island for energy. A haunting creature that knows how to get into the minds of the ones on the island to get whatever it needs. A monster that resembles a snake but acts like a leech.

Some kids don't believe such silly rumors, although those who see the evidence of said beast know that sometimes rumors can be true. A reminder of all the kids' fear slithers through the forest, making itself more and more known day by day. Waiting to strike.

"The serpent," known as "Reina" by those who have actually spoken to it, is an ancient beast that lives on the island. It is genderless, although it will lean more toward whatever gender the person talking to it perceives it as. It is around 6'5" at the base of its tail (like in the drawing), although with the rest of its tail added on, it equals about 12'10 ", although it obviously cannot sit on the very end of its tail. You can use any pronouns for it, although I (the owner of the blog) will be using mainly it/it's and they/them. It's also technically ageless in a way. There is a day it came to life , although no one quite knows when that was, just that it was a very long time ago from the year this takes place.

Ampha Amarin is a 12 year old girl on the island. She is very put together and prides herself in staying as neat and clean as possible in this circumstance. She's a joyfull mid despite everything she's gone through and proves time and time again that she is resilient. Her representative animal is a deer: signifying innocence, intuition, rebirth, renewal, vigilance, and purity.

Ask are open and very much welcomed!! Please keep them appropriate, though, as she and i are both minors.

Saelac makes a shocked expression before nodding slightly, his face softening. He answered in an unfamiliar soft tone. One that, for once, actually matched his age. His father always told him to act older and be more mature. Don't show weakness or too much excitement. Be harsh and don't share too much. But he wasn't here to say things like that, so it couldn't hurt to do it just a little. Just this once.

"It's 'Sah-eh-lack' but all together. The start sounds a bit like a z and s mixed together, though. It means 'blessed'."

Sorry i haven't been posting them much (and haven't drawn any cannon characters on my main blog) i wasn't doing the best and was just really unmotivated and couldn't get myself to draw but i think im getting more motivated i'm gonna try my best to draw more but no promises because if i say like "oh im 100% going to do this!!" Ill just get really unmotivated and overwhelmed and won't be able to get myself draw or post again but i CAN say that ill TRY although it might be harder to one school starts because of the phone ban in Texas schools idk 💔💔

"Hello. You're Asa, right? I believe that's what i've heard people say.. I am Saelac. Or Sal. I don't care which one you use."

He says, crossing his arms as he looked at the other child in front of him.

"You're like a medic in a way, right? This kid- Charlie, has been following me and my... Friend? Evan since the start. Long story short, he burns up easily and keeps making annoying whining sounds about it and won't stop bugging me. So, how do i get him to shut up?"

He asked sternly, although you could tell that even if he refused to admit it, he did seem to actually at least slightly genuinely care about it. Even though he would only admit to finding the kid annoying.

Evan looks away, though a slight smile appears on his face. He's quite delighted that someone noticed and cared about him enough to think of and say something meaningful to him. He mutters a quiet response.

Sal looks to the other boy. His face has a mixture of confused and annoyed.

"What the hell is that supposed to mean? You say you aren't trying to parent, but it sure as hell seems that way. You aren't a leader. You admit it. So stay out of my business."

Sal lets out a huff before walking away, leaving Evan behind. He's muttering something in another language under his breath, unlike Evan he seems to very much not enjoy people pointing things out about him.

Evan looks towards the other boy. His cheerful demeanor seems to make him feel a bit more at home, for once he doesn't look as if he's on the verge of tears.

His cheeks glow a bit. He isn't used to people being so happy or joyfull to be around him. It's different- but nice.

"Yes, i can play checkers... And do not worry, i don't like tag either. It's a bit scary. I don't enjoy being chased.."

"You're Sasha, right? I've heard some talk about you- that bound to happen with hair like that. It's.. Unique. In a good way, i guess, get your attention, and i guess it doesn't look that bad. I like your eyes more, though."

He speaks with confidence, and a slight smile is on his face as he looks at the other boy. He's definitely not an introvert.

"I am Saelac. Saelac Bauer. You can call me Sal - or not i don't really care. And this is Charlie, but he isn't important."

The littun gives Sal a dirty look. Though it's obvious he's not genuinely mad at the comment, he's just a bit annoyed with his teasing. He makes a little noise, causing Sal to put him down before running off to go play with the other kid's

"Goodbye now, i guess. I wouldn't mind seeing you sometime again. You don't seem too annoying."

Some little facts about Evan, Sal, and also Charlie because i love them 💔💔

Under the cut!!

Evan- Evan does not know his biological father. His mom had him very young, and his father also being young, ran off from any responsibility of him, and refused to claim him. He does have a stepfather, though, who is a lot better and also has (/had bro does not survive through all the war stuff and evacuation) a little brother named Anthony who is/was 5.

Evan really likes flowers, especially purple ones because that is his (and his monthers) favorite color.

Evan actually really likes drawing! Especially with colored pencils, he loves color.

He also really likes fossils, crystals, and other little trinkety things!!

Sal- Sal's father, as slightly mentioned in other posts, isn't really a good person. He's very traditional and hard on Sal. His mother is also quite strict and is a huge guilt tripper. He has an older sister named Frieda, who is 16 and is also deaf as i have previously stated. She's a lot more sweet and caring and cares a lot for her brother.

Sal really likes space, and so does his sister. He can name all the constellations and can sometimes be found sitting in the middle of the sand alone at night sometimes, just staring into the sky.

Another fun fact is that i actually do have meanings behind both his and his sisters names.

He also really likes cats and has one back at home. During all of the evacuation stuff, she goes missing but is eventually found afterward, very hurt and scared, but luckily still alive.

Charlie- Charlie is actually adopted. He was adopted by his family as a baby and also has 3/had 3 adopted siblings (oldest one /Evelyn who was 13 dies during all of the evacuation stuff) and then theres also a set of twins named Jasmine and Judith who are 9. His parents are pretty wealthy and kinda have savior complexs. They act like they are perfect and wonderful people for taking in children from bad situations.

He likes bugs and animals a lot

He is completely nonverbal as past mentioned and knows sign language

He was actually born in America, and his siblings are also all 3, not from the uk, but his parents are.

He also burns pretty badly because he's pretty pale 💔

That is all!!! I was just kinda bored and wanted to share some stuff about them soooo yeah!!
