Tribute to Monty Oum
I found out recently that Monty Oum, the lead animator for Rooster Teeth Industries passed away earlier this week. Now I don’t know him personally, but I had the pleasure to speak with him for a brief moment when I went to RTX two years ago. This man was the weirdest man and also the coolest man alive, you should definitely check out this video because he left some great advice for everyone.
I started 2015 with the best movie from 2014. Boyhood is an epic that was filmed over over a period spanning twelve years. Robert Linklater is known for doing things slightly different but this drama is truly groundbreaking, no questions that this is the best film I saw in 2014. I adored this film and I think it is one that everybody must watch!
It’s literally the best movie of the 21st century and I DARE someone to tell me other wise. This beautiful coming-of-age film took 12 YEARS to make. It basically follows the life of a family that mainly focuses of the son who has artistic traits and struggles to find his identity. The movie begins with the boy at the age of 5 and ends with him turning 18 and going to college. There is no specific plot line to this film, you just get the opportunity to watch the family develop through various events. What’s so great about this movie is that you get to literally watch the boy and his family age right before your eyes. The parents are played by Patricia Arquette and Ethan Hawke.
