So That Dungeon be Meshin', eh?

Decided to just draw myself as if a Dungeon Meshi character, yo.

'Who was initially an adventurer-turned-ghoul, Trinket has forgotten their name to the sands of time. They were one of the firsts to enter the dungeon to delve for its secrets, but came to find it held a lot more danger than said secrets. A ghost possessed them, that much they can remember, but after a lot of 'infighting' between the original person and the ghost possessing them, Trinket's original soul won out. Unfortunately it was too late, so they can now only possess their old body, or rather the skeleton that remains.'

They started as a lookout, scout and otherwise first-liner in their party, and the memories of doing that are bone-deep. No one in their right mind would allow a skeleton to join their party, so while they don't need to eat, they have to do something to occupy their time lest they go mad. They've trekked the dungeon's halls for a good while, so they know a few ins and outs one might not otherwise know about. It helps them get to where they need to go when bringing corpses back to the office. those in the resurrection office are probably the only humans that don't run in terror. They do get paid, but it doesn't go to food so much as dungeoneering supplies and upkeep/replacement of their old gear.

D&D NPCs

Was reminded I should share more of my D&D NPC art

NPCs the party has met through the campaign.

Character info below the cut!

1. Alder Montgomery (he/him)

Dwarven king of the capital city. He's a legendary warrior who gained the title by defeating a necromancer and his undead army many years ago. He's stubborn, analytical, and brave.

2. Lawrence Montgomery (he/him)

Human cleric and husband of King Alder. He's the emotional intelligence of the couple, and tends to be the one citizens interact with most. Kind, caring, and wise.

3. Elma Honeyhand (she/her)

Halfling alchemist and mentor of one of the party members. Elma is a potion maker who serves the bustling farming town and remains joyful despite the town's terrible history. She's fiery, jovial, and boisterous.

4. Rosemary Tolld (she/her)

Human priestess of the Inventor. The party met her while she was tending to victims of a plague in the farming town. She's diligent, but a little morose, and quiet.

5. Andrick the Gold (he/they)

Half-elf cult leader, and prophet of the goddess of life. Andrick took over leadership of a failing cult after the previous leader's demise and has acted as a minor antagonist for the party very early on. They've grown in power significantly since the beginning, even becoming a "hero" in the capital city. He's manipulative, charming, and obsessive.

6. Aries (he/him)

Aries was met as a prisoner of a fey king. He bonded with the party, and they agreed to help him escape the Feywilds. Aries later turned out to be a black-gold dragon, and Prince of the Summer Court. He's tired of the rules and expectations of his mother, the Queen, and is rebelling by exploring the mortal plane. Angsty.

7. Clara (she/her/they/them)

Clara is the big secret of the Resurrectionists (a secret monster hunting group)

Clara is a young emerald dragon who keeps a hoard of knowledge. Magic items, books, artifacts, historical treasures. Their psionic abilities grow more and more, but she's still a child at heart so enjoys having fun. But most of their time is spent watching the world through a crystal ball. She loves to learn about the world this way, but it also helps the monster hunters get the jump on undead activity.

There's way more NPCs than this, but I don't always get the time to draw all of them. And before you ask. Yes. I do have a problem with filling my world with dragons masquerading as humanoids. I just LOVE DRAGONS

Favorite D&D moments with him?

Hi anon

I would LOVE to talk about Arnie :)

So our campaign is based on Norse Mythology with a focus on travel between realms. Arnie is a draugr who is loud, violent, eats anything he can get his hands on, and takes anything shiny. 

(Reborn Zealot Barbarian)

He's kind of a dick but also kinda comedy relief?

FAVE MOMENTS:

- his first roll of the campaign was Arnie critting on intimidation to keep his weapons in a meadhall where weapons weren't allowed. 

- stole a magic item from our wealthy host who thought a local gang had stolen it so he went to confront them. 

- he was held for ransom by said gang, and Arnie's attempts to kill the leader before she could harm the hostages failed and our host was killed. 

- old man was revived and feeling bad Arnie returned the item to the host only to roll a nat 1 on where he got it LMAO got thrown in jail

- tripping balls on mushrooms he ate

- vanishing from sight only to reappear by food since his stealth is so high

- running gag of party fear whenever Arnie decides to be sneaky. (+8 to stealth with advantage) He's usually up to no good.

- A little troll has befriended the party. Running gag of Arnie trying to eat him. 

- has a knack for taking teeth as trophies (based on a random trinket I rolled at the start of the game)

- threw a handful of teeth in what became Mario Kart/Rainbow Road on the Bifrost. just launched them at an enemy cart like buckshot. He crit. It was 100+ damage. 

- also apparently a phenomenal driver. Rolled consistently well in Bifrost Mario Kart lmao

- Fred Flintstoned the cart with Jump cast on himself to clear a ramp. 

- cutting the cables of a mining elevator they were on sending everyone plummeting thousands of feet

- trying to decieve fire giants as a group, and Arnie getting too invested began to believe the party's fighter was actually betraying them. 

- trying to repeatedly claim credit for killing a boss, and then telling the truth about who actually killed the boss when faced with repercussions of killing said boss

There's probably more but that's all I can think of at the moment lol. I don't get to be a player often, but I think this is the longest campaign I've been a part of? So I really, really love playing Arnie
