annoying AND irritating.

                             SUBTLE MOCKERY in his actions  ;   leaning down to point out her lack of height  ,   which would only lead to her floating   higher   above the ground  .   Instinct to unfold her arms merely because of his actions  —   but then her mind goes back to the fact that her   LIGHT   would hurt him easier than most  &   as irritating he was   trying   to be  .   She still   wouldn’t   do that  .   So arms only tighten  ,   light protruding from her ring only further   hidden   against her side  .   An eyebrow raises as lips curl into an easy smile  ,   shrug given with a   teasing   tone  .

                      ‘   Well   MAYBE   I’m not   trying   to get rid of you   ’      Because they both knew if she was  ;   he would be   gone   by now  .

     & it  were as if  FALSE TONES  soared past all others without but even a care to be given  &  regarded. with the woman to rise gaze  following  her  ------------ however  so  GLAZED,  veiled behind it a stare filled of judgment. though none of the sort would dare so slip  &  make itself  KNOWN.  prior thinned gaze met widened eyelids. so calm a hand pressed over own heart, a straightening of back with lips parting in so slight a  GAPING  gesture. an awareness inwardly present that such motions only proved  TRYING,  one slip  &  opposing powers could without much effort  CANCEL OUT  his  own.  nevertheless emotions steeped  &  dropped, all so at a constant battle for one to supplant the other. all as is a parasite  EATING AWAY AT THE MIND,  hardly a thing to be controlled. outward sarcasm barely a thing  kept in check  though still appreciated.                               ‘      thank  you. that means...  SO MUCH  to me.  TRULY.  you’re so considerate. how do you  DO  it ?   god.      ’

                               Movements traced with blue eyes  &   lips curving up into an   amused   grin  .   Even the   SHOCK   she displayed upon learning he had remembered the date was   true  .   After all she had only mentioned it in   passing  ,   expecting him to forget  .

                       ‘   Well yeah   ’      She reaches forward to hit his hand away from his chest  ;   laughter   bubbling   to the surface      ‘   Stop it  !!   ’

     with such  rapidity did features move to as if  RESEMBLE HER OWN   (   however though lesser in strength.  TONED DOWN,  against own desires for otherwise   ).  head dropped forward, a breath  ripping  past lungs  ------ reminiscent that of a short laugh, somewhat  MUTED  with pressed lips. a moment taken for composure. first move  :  a bending down, hands situated upon hips. gaze in itself allowing for a  sternness  to settle, regardless tips of lips tugged in slightness. a cocked brow.                         ‘      can’t stop me, dawson. though you do have... maybe  SEVEN... ?  seconds to accept my so  gracious  offer for taking  HER MAJESTY  out on the town.  no pressure.      ’

                         Others words draw a huff from the lantern   RADIATING   life  .   Looking upon his form  &   the darkness emanating there’s a   pull   of sorts  ;   attempting to persuade her to share the life she wields   (  not born of conscious thought  )   her arm raises as if to   FORCE   it on him  .   Only overriding by crossing her arms against her chest  ;   ring hidden from sight  &   glow lessening  .   She didn’t know   what   would happen if she   DID  .   She had no desire to   force   her will upon him  ;   after all he was only throwing   sarcastic remarks  .   She knew how to deal with that  .

                  ‘   I’m surprised you even   know   what   HUMOR   is buddy  .   Sorry  ,   doesn’t   work   that way  —   it’s lanterns like   YOU   that are the reason why I’m even   around   in the first place   ’

     only the  most subtle a tension already showed to make its stand between the two without so much as even a  WARNING  to be spared. so quick were brows together to raise in a  rapid  motion, a simultaneous shift of gaze towards a distance for a moment’s time with own words to begin  past.  CONSIDERATION  was but the sole thing given  ------ the only POSITIVE QUALITY  to be found. though again would the man  mimic,  this time INTENTIONAL.  arms snugly crossed about chest, the slightest bend of torso forward. a  MOCKING  tone  &  nothing more with eyes falling back to her,  narrowed  with ending syllables.            ‘      oh, you’re doing a  GREAT JOB  of getting  rid  of me then.  love  your  work.      ’
