“  i  …  uh  …  ”  he   SHRUGGED  .  “  a  few  days  ago  .  what  day  is  it  today  ?  i  had  fish  &&  chips  with  sirius  on  the  promenade  last  wednesday  night  ,  ”  he  scratched  his  cheek  &&  shrugged  .  “  i  don’t  feel  MUCH  like  eating  at  the  moment  ,  but  you  definitely  should  do  something  for  the  others  ,  ”  he  paused  &&  cleared  his  throat  . 

                                     lips purse and eyes narrow into a glare .  thin slits of emerald focus fully on remus for the first time this evening .  lily isn’t buying it ,  but she also won’t push .  at least not yet ,  maybe he’ll have a harder time turning down food when it’s in front of him and everyone else is eating .  she’d like to wrap her arms around his shoulders and tell him he can tell her all of his worries and pain ,  but she’s not sure that he would appreciate the coddling .  with a sigh she drops the curtain corner back into place and moves further into the kitchen .  there’s enough here than she can make something decent .  lily can finally hold down most ,  if not all ,  she eats and she’s been trying her hand at cooking with magic .  something that will surely come in handy once the baby is here .  “ i think peter is seeing someone ,  ”  she says around a light chuckle  .  she’s happy for him ,  hoping that he’ll strike up the courage to bring them around soon .  “  he’s been so secretive lately ,  not that it’s working  !  ”  lily will happily gossip with remus ,  filling the kitchen with frivolous chatter until james and sirius bring home their bad news .
