After the Storm Legacy

I’ve always loved the idea of legacy challenges, especially the kind that feel like reading through the pages of a really good book.

But I never quite clicked with the ones that stacked up high goals and endless grindy tasks. Forcing my Sim to play chess all night just to meet a logic requirement? It pulled me right out of the story.

This legacy is different.

Each generation holds a story, one rooted in heartbreak, struggle, and the slow, aching path toward love. Some stories will tug at your heartstrings. Others may leave you stunned, breathless, and unsure whether it was really a happy ending after all.

This isn’t about chasing promotions or maxing out every skill.

It’s about building lives worth caring about. It’s about the love that grows after the storm.

You won’t need to follow strict skill or career goals, your job is to make the journey believable, emotional, and real. Fill each generation with characters worth remembering. Give them flaws. Give them hope!

And don’t worry... Tragedy will still strike! Each generation includes a drama wheel to stir the storm. (You must pick between the options given.)

Gen 1: Miss Sunshine 🌻

“You were their golden child - until you made your own wish.”

At a young age, you were adopted out of an abusive household and taken in by the wealthiest family in town. Everything seemed perfectly normal growing up, except for your parents’ obsessive lectures on beauty. Before you knew it, fame found its way to you unexpectedly. On your 19th birthday, you were granted one wish and handed a lifelong modeling contract from your adoptive parents. They manipulated you into devoting your life to their legacy of fame, offering care and luxury in return for your obedience. As a small gesture, they promised you one thing: a wish come true.

You used your wish to seek freedom and education, requesting to enroll in the university of your dreams. Your parents agreed to four months of freedom, and you accepted graciously.

Soon after, you went on a class trip to a breathtaking island with your classmates. Along the way, you made a few friends, most of whom had ties to your adoptive family. They challenged you with a seemingly harmless bet you couldn't refuse.

You were to date, spoil, and eventually dump a classmate - attractive but dirt poor. The arrangement was meant to end with the trip. What they didn’t expect was for you to team up with this person for your own benefit.

But what happens when pretending turns real?

One of your classmates drowns or disappears during the trip

A rumor spreads that ruins your public image, caused by a jealous friend

Your sibling turns on you, believing you’ve betrayed the family’s legacy

Gen 2: Die on the Trial for Love 🪦

“You watched them die. So why are they still watching you?”

You grew up witnessing love in the strangest forms. To you, love felt like a performance, something artificial and unsettling. That is, until the new, quiet student arrived in class. Every attempt at conversation failed, but the more they ghosted you, the more intrigued you became.

You started attending every party they showed up to. One night, at a late gathering, they pulled you aside to share a secret.

But as you stepped outside to listen, something attacked them in the dark.

You rushed to help, only to find no pulse. You sat there in shock, haunted by your own obsession. You blamed yourself and returned home, consumed by PTSD. Living with your parents, your hands never felt clean again.

Later, trying to reclaim confidence, you visited a bar with some worried friends. And there, among the crowd, you saw them.

Alive. Breathing. Or... something like it.

Your obsession sparked again - undead, immortal, and burning.

Small-town life was never enough for you. You wanted fame, spotlight, and chaos — not porch gossip and werewolf neighbors who thought they could outshine you. So you left it all behind, chasing the city lights and becoming a vampire superstar.

You had everything.. money, beauty, immortality, lovers at your feet, but it never filled the void. No matter how loud the applause, it all felt hollow.

Then one day, your biggest rival from home, a werewolf with only a guitar rose to fame and took everything you thought defined you. For the first time, you were the one left behind.

You returned home to rot in silence, alone in your bitterness... until they showed up. Retired. Tired. And offering peace, not competition.

Two former stars, one shared roof - and the slow discovery that maybe the real thrill wasn’t in being loved by the world… but in learning how to love each other.

Live luxuriously: own a penthouse, be in the spotlight, and date widely — but feel unfulfilled.

Lose a major opportunity to your old rival (modeling gig, show).

Attend one of their events and realize their authenticity resonates with others more than your glamor ever did.

Sell your house and possessions and return to your hometown.

Become reclusive and live in a small house on the outskirts.

Be visited by your werewolf rival who offers peace and retires alongside you.

Live together platonically for a time before love slowly forms.

Fall in love and rekindle your connection with your family.

Adopt one child

Tragedy Has Struck:

A jealous ex from your past returns, trying to sabotage your growing relationship with your rival.

You face a difficult choice: accept a tempting fame comeback offer or stay loyal to your quiet, new life. (If chosen you must still adopt a child.)

Your vampire family publicly condemns your new lifestyle, forcing you to choose between them or your love.

Gen 4: Destined to Die 🏯

“Sometimes you don’t want to be seen as weak — you just want to be seen as an equal.”

You were sick most of your life not dying, just always tired. At sixteen, everything got worse. You missed school, lost your love for baking, and eventually became stuck in bed.

After years of being watched and cared for, the doctors finally clear you to go home. Your parents send you to Mount Komorebi for a fresh start, but they also send your childhood friends to watch over you. They mean well, but all you see is pity. So you send them away.

You live alone in the snowy mountains, finally in control until your parents show up again. This time, they bring someone with them. A quiet, reserved caretaker. You expect to feel babysat. Instead, they give you space.

They're a local, and eventually, they offer to show you the town not as a patient, but as a person.

Their silence turns into comfort. Friendship. And maybe something more.

But when your illness returns, you’re left wondering: do you push love away again... or hold onto it while you still can?

Objectives:

Start as a Teen with a long-term illness (reflect this through limited outings and frequent rest)

Move to Mount Komorebi with your old childhood friends

Grow distant from your friends as they begin treating you like a burden

Ask your friends to leave so you can live alone

Have a bad interaction with your parents due to you wanting personal freedom and not their pity.

Be introduced to the quiet caretaker by your parents

A letter arrives from one of your parents, but it isn’t addressed to you. It reveals a hidden truth about your illness or your adoption.

You receive a misdiagnosis. You find out your illness isn’t fatal… but the treatment you’ve been taking could be. (Do you confront your doctors? Your parents?)

Gen 5: Wild Manners 🍖

"You were raised to bow. But your instincts told you to bite."

Your childhood was quiet, always wrapped in a stiff, uptight mood.

Your parents had known hardship. They raised you with care and caution, building your life around structure. You were always fed warm meals, taught to mind your manners, and sheltered from anything even slightly dangerous or rowdy. They saw you as just as fragile as your parent even if you weren’t.

But inside, you were burning.

There was always something in you that longed to run, yell, and break the rules. So when you finally came of age, you made a choice no one expected.

You left your calm, traditional snow town for a run-down region known for its old blues, local legends, and cabin bars full of noise and stories. A place where the trees whispered strange tales... and the woods howled back.

It was only supposed to be temporary. A place to find yourself.

Then you met them. A chaotic mess of a person with muddy boots, a busted lip, and a smile that hit just as hard as their temper. They lived without rules or expectations. Free, untamed, and wild.

And something about that felt right.

One night, after wandering through town together, you followed them into the woods. Not because they asked. Just because something pulled you in.

Get into a major fallout with your parents over your lifestyle change (Eventually reconnect with them)

Must live in a cabin (You can build it or find one off the gallery.)

You or your partner must make a Wolf-B-Gone potion for one of your children.

The town begins hunting wolves: After strange events, locals grow suspicious. And you are forced to hide your true nature or risk exposure.

A rival pack moves in. They don’t follow your rules, and they want your land..

Your partner goes missing after a full moon. Rumors spread about an injured rogue wolf.. could it be them?

Gen 6: Becoming Whole 🖼️

“You left the wild behind. Now, you have to find who you really are.”

You once ran with the pack fierce and free. But that life wasn’t yours anymore. One day, you chose to stop fighting your nature and become something new: human.

City life overwhelmed you. You kept to yourself in a small apartment afraid to be seen. Then they showed up to your apartment.

A cocky, flirtatious artist with a devilish grin and magnetic charm. They strutted in like they owned the place, teasing and daring you out of your shell. Their studio was chaos and color, loud music and laughter, and you couldn’t help but be drawn in.

They saw you, challenged you, pulled you into their wild world. Their confidence was intoxicating, their attention impossible to ignore. You tried to resist, but their smoldering gaze chipped away your walls.

It wasn’t easy. Social scenes overwhelmed you, and their bold ways sometimes pushed you back. But their flirtatious chase kept you hooked.

Then, the unexpected.. a pregnancy.

Suddenly, it wasn’t just about you anymore. Fear crept in. Could you protect this new life?

Just as you were learning to balance, an old figure from your wolf days appeared. Not to pull you back, but to warn you. Danger from your past lurked beneath the city’s glitter, threatening the fragile peace you’d found.

Meet a artist. They must have the Painter Extraordinaire aspiration as well as one of the following traits: Lovebug, Romantic, Obsessive. (They must have max friendship before starting a romantic relationship.)

Live with the artist in their art studio apartment

Overcome social anxiety by attending at least three social or art events with the artist.

Pick one of the careers to work in: Interior Decorator, Engineer, Freelancer.

Keep the wolf’s past as a secret, but show signs of struggle between old instincts and new life.

Reach max relationship with the artist and build a loving, supportive household.

Have at least 2 children and raise them in the city, embracing your new identity.

Tragedy Has Struck:

You have pregnancy complications that make you lose you first born.

You lose your job or face creative block, forcing you to rely on the artist more than you expected.

The artist is offered a big opportunity that means moving away, forcing a difficult choice for your family.

Gen 7: Creating The Perfect One 🛠️

“They told you any dream could come true — so you built yours.”

You grew up goofy, awkward, and endlessly teased. Every crush ended in heartbreak or rejection, leaving you wondering if you’d ever find someone who truly got you. But you never lost hope, because your family always said: anything is possible.

So, you threw yourself into your passion: science. Late nights in the lab, tinkering, creating. When love seemed impossible, you made your own version of it. A robot perfect, programmed to understand you, never judge you, always there.

Your creation was more than metal and circuits. They listened, learned, laughed, and even challenged you. They were the partner you’d dreamed of but never found.

Life was simple, controlled. Then everything changed.

A mysterious, impossible alien encounter left you pregnant. The pregnancy was unlike anything you expected. Strange and powerful, it tested your mind and body, forcing you to face fears you never imagined.

You've always been a hopeless romantic swooning over cheesy novels, daydreaming of grand gestures, and secretly writing your own sweet little love stories in between shifts at your soul-sucking office job.

All you’ve ever wanted was to become a published romance author. But instead, you’re stuck organizing spreadsheets and stapling reports... right across from them.

Your grumpy, cold-hearted coworker. The one person who always rolls their eyes when you speak. The one person who makes you feel like a walking punchline.

Still, when a company-wide anonymous pen pal program begins, you sign up on a whim desperate for something that feels real. The letters start light, but soon they become the best part of your week. The person writing you is thoughtful, witty, and surprisingly gentle.

You fall not just in love, but in belief. Maybe your kind of love can exist.

Then one day, a detail slips through the cracks.

Secretly work on your own romance novels (Complete the Bestselling Author aspiration AND/OR write and publish at least 5 romance books).

Fall in love with your pen pal, and deepen the relationship despite the secret. [Optional: become friends or flirty before revealing identities.]

Confess your true feelings and reveal your identity to your pen pal, before quitting your office job to pursue writing full-time.

Have your lover show up at your door and ask you out.

Have at least one child, named after a character from your favorite romance book. (Obviously!!!)

Tragedy Has Struck:

Your pen pal lover is promoted, and becomes your boss. Now things are complicated while he's in control..

You publish a book based on the pen pal letters. Without asking. When they find out, it threatens everything.

You’re being catfished by a second anonymous writer… and you’re falling for them too

Gen 10: The Promise You Forgot 🎨

"Sometimes the quietest heart holds the loudest dreams."

Your parent was loud, wild stories, big gestures, and laughter that filled every room. You, though? You were soft. Dreamy. Always sketching in notebooks, imagining stories and futures too delicate to say aloud. You never competed for attention. You simply observed, hoping one day the world would slow down and see you too.

As a child, you made a promise, an innocent vow to someone who made you feel seen. You swore you’d marry them someday. But years passed. Life moved on. You chased love elsewhere, only to be told, again, you were “too much.” Heartbroken, you pushed that memory away.

You hit a massive creative block. You can’t paint or write for weeks, straining your mental health and relationships.

You find an old, unsent letter from your childhood love..revealing they tried to find you, or even waited for you… but someone (a parent?) hid it from you.

Right as you confess your love, something separates you — a forced move, an accident, or a family emergency that delays your second chance.

Gen 11: Veil of Midnight 🏥

"You came to save a monster, but found a heart beneath the fangs."

You were always the gentle one. The one who stayed after class to help clean up, who bandaged scraped knees without flinching, who volunteered for night shifts when no one else would. From a young age, it felt like your heart beat for others- not yourself.

Your dream was simple: become a nurse, help people, and make a difference in a world that constantly felt broken.

When you transferred to a hospital in a forgotten part of town, you were drawn in by whispers of strange cases, unsolved disappearances, and an urgent need for more staff. You assumed it was just burnout and poor management.

But one night, everything changed.

You caught a vampire sneaking through the blood supply closet, draining bags with a hunger that chilled your bones. Instead of fear, you felt something strange, a pull, a curiosity. Despite the danger, you didn’t scream or run. You patched the cut they got during a struggle with security, warning them that if he came back, you’d report them.

They smirked cold, indifferent, unreadable.

Yet they kept returning. Leaving cryptic notes in the break room. Showing up just as your shift ended. Calling your kindness a weakness, mocking your idealism. Every meeting sparked with fierce energy like kindness facing danger.

But beneath that vicious facade, there was something haunted. Something broken.

Someone else was watching, covering for them. Forging patient records. Disguising their visits as deliveries. The shadows around them grew darker and thicker, and staying silent became more dangerous by the day.

Then everything shifted.

When a patient was suddenly attacked in the hallway, they didn’t hesitate. They stepped in swift, ruthless defending life in a way you never expected. That act changed everything.

Now, caught between fear and fascination, your world blurs. Enemy or ally, the line fades with every shared secret and stolen moment.

Keep the vampire’s secret hidden from hospital staff and authorities while building a friendship and relationship with them.

Complete the Friend of the World aspiration.

Face a choice: protect the vampire or turn them in (either way, you will still end up with them).

Have at least three kids.

You suffer exhaustion and burnout, questioning your ability to help someone so dangerous.

You discover your own health is deteriorating mysteriously after repeated exposure to vampire venom or bites.

Disclaimer: In no way am I trying to spread gossip and drama however I believe this is fairly well known at this point, however when googling it, it is hard to find information about so I thought I would make a post to share it myself. [anything bolded is for emphasis, anything italics has a screenshot proof at the bottom]

Summary of the situation Well-known Sims 4 CC creator, Harrie/HeyHarrie created a Winterfest CC collection, which in my opinion contains multiple lovely and well-presented CC. The reason why this is seen as a huge issue is that it has been released a few days before Christmas, but only for Patreon subscribers. This means that the public release is not until 14th February 2025 [please note this is Valentines Day, as they mention not wanting to release on other holidays]

This means that to download this in time for the holidays you must be paying a minimum of £4.50 per month. For obvious reasons, this upset multiple people as it is clearly intended for the holiday season. Harrie, and friend/partner/website collab Felixandre make multiple thousands of dollars per month from Patreon, and can afford to release some things for free.

Unfortunately, this is not where the situation ends, it is the beginning. When issues and questions about this were raised to her, Harrie was extremely rude to people.

At the bottom of this post is both the photo used to promote the collection, to show the holiday theme, as well as screenshots of her responses to the situation. I highly recommend you read these to fully grasp the situation.

I was unaware of these issues in the past as I try to stay out of situations like Sims drama, however when it becomes borderline bullying, something must be said. I am also disappointed that EA has supported her for so long [creator code, items in the game, etc] considering the paywall issue.

Side note: I have found complaints on Reddit from over a year ago that Harrie had been rude to them and blocked them as well. Obviously, I do not have the best evidence for this, but considering the situation, it is highly likely. I have found similar complaints about Felixandre, with whom she shares a website. I was also made aware from TikTok that it had been mentioned she utilises AI to create her CC. I couldn't find anything concrete about this, however, it is a good thing to note [especially when charging people]

Just to be clear as many people have mentioned the AI part, it was something I heard that I do not have evidence for but have heard a lot of rumours about.

If you can, please reblog for visibility. We need creators like this shamed and off the platform. And they definitely don't deserve to be making money.

I still can't believe the audacity of some creators, like your cc isn't even that good first of all, second you're going against EA's TOS and using their resources so it's technically not fully yours! You don't get to lock it behind a perma-paywall and then threaten people who release it for free. I thought people would've learned their lesson after 2022 with the cowbuild/begdorf/leosims fiasco🙄

I saw this screenshot posted today on reddit r/sims4cc posted by u/meepcity-122. I don't take credit for it, I just wanted to share it here so other people can learn about it. Apparently the messages are from 2024 but maybe the person decided to speak out about it now? Idk but either way it should be exposed. I searched tumblr and I don't think this has been talked about before, but if it has let me know and I'll remove my post.

Sad news!!

I won’t be able to get on my high performance gaming laptop and play the sims for 3 days or so.

The reason I emphasize “high performance” is because of the issue. So the charger just died and refuses to charge. And it’s one of a kind and is the best and only usable charger for my laptop. And to buy it (not off-brand version) it costs roughly 140 dollars.

WHICH IS INSANE! So I ordered one off of Amazon instead.

(For some reason it has to be high in watts which is uncommon in stores so yay)

I will be able to post for you lovelies soon. Just want to let you all know I’m not disappearing I’m just trying to test my patience.

(Also apologies for the horrible grammar and run-on sentences. This was just a quick little update through my phone. You know how tiny and confusing texting can be: :D)

hi this is just a progress post..

I’ve been working on a legacy challenge where each generation has its own story to tell. It’s not all about completing aspirations or grinding skills. it’s more about letting your sim grow into who they’re really meant to be. Think a little like SBL with the romance vibes, and a bit of light fantasy mixed in.

So far, I’ve written a bunch of long drafts and have 4 full generations planned out. I thought it’d be fun to start sharing some small previews with mood boards and emojis to match each gen’s vibe. Just something cute that might catch your interest!

If you’re into a little occult gameplay, exploring worlds you haven’t touched in a while, and watching your sims go through big emotional journeys—this might be for you. I hope you enjoy what’s coming!

(P.S.) The only thing that might scare you off is the long list of objectives- but don’t worry! They’re super open-ended and not strict at all. Think of them more like a trail to follow, with plenty of room for your own twists and turns.

I also included a little “Tragedy Has Struck” checklist, basically a way to throw one impactful challenge into your sim’s story as they grow. It adds that extra pinch of drama (in the best way).
