september 1st, 1970

i met the most wonderful girl person on the train today. i was so nervous to start but this little blonde girl entered my train compartment and we talked the whole train ride. it’s hard to believe someone would love plants just as much as i do! she they even ended up complimenting my green hair. we’re going to be best friends forever. i can just tell. we were both even sorted into hufflepuff together! i don’t know what a hufflepuff is but my parents said it’s a very suiting house for me and to not be disappointed i wasn’t a ravenclaw or gryffindor like they were. daisy said the she they wnat to hear all about my plants tomorrow so i’m going to sleep. i’m so nervous. hopefully the school year is great. i miss my sister and parents already though... i should write to them again soon.

alecto carrow is so pretty. she’s also really intimidating but i really like her. she’s so ambitious and knows exactly what she wants. i doubt she even knows who i am. why would someone like her know a dumb plant nerd like me? not to mention amycus is so terrfying. he’s been acting really weird towards me recently. MAYBE HE KNOWS I HAVE A CRUSH ON HIS SISTER. oh no. he’s going to kill me. mission abort.

amycus totally knows that i have a crush on alecto. i have a feeling he told her. gosh this is so awkward. i hate having feelings. 

september 2nd, 1980

charlie is back! i am literally the most excited to see them again. i know that we’re not super close but i have always considered them an older sibling to me. i am so excited that everything worked out! hopefully they enjoy their school year. but moving on.... is it possible to crush on three people at the same time. whenever i’m around peter, damiar and gabrielle my heart pounds so hard that i think it might beat out of my chest. my crushes never go well. i don’t think any of them have ever lead to anything that lasted. oh goodness. how do i tell them? do i tell them? time consult lily and daisy to see what they think. oh my gosh why are my dating consultants both named after plants? coincedence? probably not.... i love plants. maybe i’ll just make a big garden and marry that.

“i don’t care if i give you a headache. maybe you shouldn’t listen to me if it’s that bad.” she said. being around people like alecto always caused doe’s blood to boil. she couldn’t see anything but proving to them that they had been wrong the whole time. “when you learn that just because you might have a pureblood doesn’t mean you’re royalty. but i sadly don’t think you’ll realize until you’re all locked away in azkaban, for torturing and killing innocent people.”

“transfigurations and charms right now,” she said, looking at the books in front of her. those were the two essays that she had that were due first, but really she didn’t want to do them. essays were... lame. “you’d think that after reading our writing for nine years that they’d be tired of it but the essays keep getting longer and harder.”
