thinking of the friend i had in middle school who, when their BiC mechanical pencil eraser got too low, would crumple a tiny bit of scrap paper and stick it underneath the eraser so they could erase with it for longer. i'm thinking of them because i just crumpled up a tiny bit of scrap paper and stuck it underneath the eraser of my BiC mechanical pencil because the eraser was getting low. i wonder if middle school me changed them in a similar, small way.

i was experimenting with different underpainting for shading on the pikachus. personally, i like the purple underpainting (sleeping pikachu) the best.
