Ranting about Ever After High while watching the sunset. What are your favorite ships?

There'll be a moment when you realise you're 27 when yesterday you were just 17; and you wouldn't be able to tell how a decade passed away and your life got divided into before and afters. The fury of youth will subdue and nothing will really change but everything will feel different when you look at old photographs and blurry videos taken on cheap mobile phones. Scents will remind you of childhood and certain friends you don't talk to anymore, hangouts will become reunions and mom's burnt pie will become the best food you ever had. And I know on some days you won't be able to show anything of those 10 years but I hope you remember to breathe, and let go of the knot in your chest. I hope you go out in the sun and live a little, because tomorrow is 37.

Another note on the whole sentiAdrien thing: I see people speculate about / express worry that Adrien being a sentimonster is the reason Gabriel is abusive. Like, that he doesn’t see Adrien as truly his son, or even truly a person, and that that’s why Gabriel is abusive. But I don’t think that’s the case at all. Adrien’s sentihood isn’t the reason he’s abused, it’s just the vehicle through which Gabriel enforces the abuse.

In fact, I’d argue that Adrien’s sentihood is Gabriel’s favorite thing about Adrien. Gabriel wouldn’t love Adrien more if he was a “real boy”. If anything, he’d maybe “love” him less.

The closest we’ve ever gotten to Gabriel openly discussing an opinion on Adrien being a sentimonster would be this scene:

These aren’t the words of a man who sees his son as merely some worthless husk that his wife created. Gabriel seems legitimately proud here, and he’s proud because Adrien is “flawless, the image of perfection”. Adrien is everything Gabriel has ever wanted in a son. Literally. 

(We also know that Gabriel is under no misconception that Adrien’s sentihood makes him emotionless. Gabriel has recognized Adrien’s emotions multiple times (e.g. telling Adrien “you’ve had enough excitement for one day” and  remarking that Adrien “is just like his mother… overly dramatic” in simon says, Gabriel sensing Adrien’s disappointment in Stormy Weather 2, Gabriel sensing Adrien’s anguish and getting worried for him in Glaciator 2, etc. In Kuro Neko, he remarks that “Adrien will get over his depression, because he’s an Agreste”). There is no evidence that Gabriel sees Adrien as inhuman, or that he doesn’t see Adrien as his son. )

Let’s not forget, Gabriel is a designer. And though Emilie may have been the one to use the peacock miraculous, I’m sure Gabriel had some input into his creation (personally, I think Gabriel was the emotional vessel that Emilie used to create him. Remember, it can take up to two people to create a sentimonster. This is also why I don’t think it’s entirely accurate to say that Gabriel is irrelevant to Adrien’s creation or not “really” his father, though the memes can be funny). Adrien is, quite literally, his and Emilie’s perfect creation. He’s Gabriel’s son, but he’s also Gabriel’s finest work, the design he is most proud of.

Gabriel is also an incredibly manipulative person, and you know what’s great about having a sentimonster for a son? You get to control them. What more could a man like Gabriel want in a son?

That’s what Adrien’s sentihood represents. This isn’t a story of “Gabriel abusing some Thing because ‘hey, that’s not actually my son’”, this is a story of “A man so twisted that he sees fatherhood as yet another design venture. A man who would rather craft and control a son than raise one. A man who wants his son to be what he wants him to be, and nothing more.” Adrien being a sentimonster is just a literal representation of that type of parenting. It doesn’t excuse it, it’s not the reason for it, it represents it.

This is a story of how expecting your child to be everything you want them to be isn’t a way to raise a child. This is a story about how no matter what you do, no matter how you raise (or create) your child, you cannot escape the inevitable truth that your child will become their own person. This is a story of Gabriel’s folly, because despite literally creating a son from magic, literally crafting him to look how he wants, literally enforcing his will upon him at every chance…….. Adrien still finds ways to be himself. He still cannot be fully controlled. 

That’s what sentiAdrien theory is. It’s not about Adrien’s humanity— there’s no question about that. It’s about Gabriel’s humanity, and his refusal to understand what being a father means.

And you can argue about whether or not the show “needed” to use a metaphor for something like this, but let’s face it— Miraculous has always been a show that uses magic as a metaphor for its issues. Coming of age, identity crises, emotional manipulation, grief, learning to control your emotions, the weight of responsibilities, etc— it’s just what the show is and always has been, and personally I think the sentiAdrien plotline fits right in with all the others.

• usually minding their business and somehow has the most haters.🤔

• naturally capricorns are loners. they won’t join a team if they know they’ll be put the background. they want to reign.

• if they do join forces with someone, they will make sure they are an expect at every subject. they refuse to lack in any category. they don’t want to be caught off guard not knowing something. and strive to be fully capable of holding their own.

• they seek to oversee situations and observe from the top. which is why their always climbing.

• they want to know that the actions they take are making them better. if not, then they question why they’re doing it and will stop if the reason is not satisfactory to them.

• once others get beneath the shell of a capricorn, they become really amusing.

• capricorns have a goofy and witty sense of humor. typically, a sarcastic response to anything that annoys them.

• they are known to be more carefree as they grow older, becoming an adult that acts like a child.

• when they finally let loose, they are totally different and less intimidating.

• capricorns NEED a release and getaway from everyday life from time to time.

• they love parties, music, sex, alcohol, and drugs. they crave that euphoric state, as it separates them from the seriousness of life.

• in their daily lives, they can seem quiet, cool or mean to others. but most capricorns are going through war inside their heads. just give them time to go through there problems alone.

• and although they are stoic most of the time and look disinterested, they are very sweet individuals.

• with age comes more success for a capricorn. they are the type to still have goals as they grow older and still have the heart to chase their dreams.

• they achieve so many milestones in their lifetime.(if evolved) they use time to their benefit and take it seriously.

• capricorns age with such grace.♠️

• as they get older they become easier on themselves, lifting that weight that thought they needed to carry.

• many aged capricorns never loose their youth.

• capricorns are known to be excellent bullshit detectors. it may be hard to manipulate them because their calculating mind is always open, like a chess board.

• even with friends, capricorns tell the honest truth and sometimes it hurts. but they are so blunt because they want their friends to succeed.

• they are either social or anti social. communicating with others have to feel beneficial to them in some way.

• they hold a certain level of fearlessnes to them and do not respond well to stuck up people or injustice. and if someone tries to embarrass them or tease them, their horns come out. they speak their mind to anyone. (even authority)

• they never back down from a challenge. so if others think they will get away with murder, wait till it’s capricorns turn.

• they are patient and will wait as long as needed to get even. they wait for the right time to strike. when their opponent least expects it.🎲

•they are naturally put in the position of leadership due to their common sense and no nonsense attitude.

• wanna know how to easily spot a capricorn? by how well they’re put together. their fashion game is always on point.

• capricorns somehow seem to have it all together, even when below the surface they don’t. they walk around looking like the ceo of a successful company.

• their air of confidence is magnetizing. they are always busy trying new projects, which causes them to be stalked sometimes.(usually on social media) they attract an audience who can’t help but wonder what is going to happen next.

• they prefer to have schedules so that they can keep up with all the things they need to do.

• they stay polished. they are they type to be consistently working out and watching what they eat, keeping up with skincare routines, paying bills on time, etc.

• they like to be on top of things.

• unfortunately, this is another sign that suffers from the resting bitch face and is seen as arrogant but that is false.

• capricorns are good at being bad. especially in movies where they’re acting.

• they always play the perfect vampire or perfect villain. being naturally tempting, charming and eerie. they also love horror movies and side with bad guys.

• from a childhood they are into very dark, forbidden subjects. when you tell a capricorn that they shouldn’t, it’s basically propelling them further to that thing. this gets them into trouble a-lot but they can’t help but wonder💭

• driven by an emotional nature, they seek to be fulfilled not only physically but spiritually as well.

• most capricorns are addicted to music. whether they are just listeners, singers, writers, or musicians, they deeply feel understood through songs. capricorn artists make a darker kind of genre and style. they make songs that discuss deep topics.

• shyness is normal for capricorns. they dislike too much spotlight and would rather stay low key, no matter how beautiful or talented they are.

• it takes a while for capricorn to recharge and go back into the light but when it’s work time, they are consistent and when it’s rest time, nobody dare bother them or their life will be on the line.🎯

• they are comfortable enough to be still and don’t mind being in the background for a few. cause when they shine they outshine.⚡️

• even when capricorns have nothing, they maintain a regal nature. having the ability to visualize their dream selves and act it out as if they have it now.

• they hold themselves to certain standards and are always growing. most of the time they do not know what will happen, but they keep a brave spirit and carry on.

• they dislike too much stagnation. it’s hard for them to lay back when they have a kingdom to manage.

• wisdom is stored within’ them, guiding them up their mountains. no one understands how they do the things they do. how does the goat climb the mountain?

• capricorns take the limitations and rules, then challenge them.

• what others may not know is that capricorns live and breathe for their families. they’ll do anything for the ones they love. they get extremely protective and defensive if anyone is treating their loved ones wrong.

• capricorns wants a support system of people that genuinely care about them. they need people who are real and dependable, like they are. they do not want to be alone. they desire having others to lean on from time to time.

• when capricorns become successful, they shower their families with their riches as well. they want to share what they have and is at peace with knowing that everyone is taken care of.

• also, capricorns been running the game since their youth.

• when a capricorn child is free to express themselves, others will see that they have very strong personalities, like little bosses.
