Saint Laurent by Hedi Slimane ring boots

Perhaps the first shoe that comes to mind when thinking of the iconic shoes of grunge is the Jack Purcell (Converse) worn by Kurt Cobain. Even after 20 years, the image has not faded at all. However, this fall and winter, a big change has been brought to the feet of such grunge fashion. It is a new style introduced by Hedi Slimane at the Paris Men's Collection, which was the first since the return of the new Saint Laurent. In the runway show titled "California Grunge", ring boots were styled with every look, making a sensational impression as a shoe that is essential for the 2013 version of grunge style. The ring boots that appeared in the show were available in a wide variety of variations, with a lineup of five types in total: black calfskin, black suede, black calfskin with chains, black pine, and beige suede. The smooth calfskin with a moderate luster is characterized by its fine texture. Meanwhile, the suede with short cut ends is characterized by its smooth texture due to the oil coating. The silhouette is where Hedi Slimane's unique aesthetic sense is apparent. Every aspect of the shoe is perfectly calculated, with a sharp and modern form, a slightly higher 4cm heel, and a shaft that fits neatly into ultra-thin skinny jeans with a 15.5cm cuff width. (Since his days at Dior Homme, Hedi has produced hit shoes every season. This pair, which symbolizes this season's grunge style, will undoubtedly join that ranks.)
