I finally finished my Everett Ross Custom Pop. This one wasn’t as labor intensive as my Darcy Lewis but actually wound up taking longer to accomplish because of a painting learning curve. After much deliberation I’ve decided to stop futzing with him and do the reveal. So, here he is...

One of my favorite things about Everett is his dynamic with Shuri - the way he just accepts (and is giddy about) the innovations she’s created and doesn’t even question that she’s a genius, despite her age/gender and the way Shuri responds to this attitude - so there they are together.

Like last time, I thought I’d give you the recipe:

1 Alex Trebek head + 1 La Casa de Papel Professor body = Everett Ross.

Seems simple, right? Wrong. I got all caught up in the fact that Everett Ross has this salt and pepper hair and it was just a MESS when I tried to paint it. But after much trial and error (and Pops! examinations) I just went with a flat darker grey. I did erase some wrinkles on the forehead and under the eyes with a tiny bit of acetone on a cotton swab (but be careful you don’t nick the eyeball or you’ll be repainting them like I had to 😏). In the comics (and the MCU), Everett is often seen wearing a grey suit so I didn’t even mess with The Professor’s body.

Initially, I toyed with the idea of trying to dress him in his Wakandan ninja pj’s or his Wakandan hospital night shirt...

...but then I found the Professor and that stance is CLASSIC Everett Ross...

...so I took the easy out that presented itself. Who knows, maybe I’ll make another one later. For now, I’m happy with this as it is.

I wish they’d bring back Martin Freeman into the MCU. He makes everything better.
