Princess Annabel and Knight Lenore AUs are great. But don't you think the opposite is more fitting?
Princess Lenore who does not look and act like a princess, and who's gone mad and was completely abandoned by her parents after her brother's, Crown Prince's, death.
And Knight Annabel, a daughter of some advisor, who is like: oh well, I already made that trap for you like months ago, but if you'll somehow evade it then I'm capable of killing you in a second, if you dare to think of harming my Princess.

Part 1
Elphaba feels tears streaming down her cheeks, as she makes her way through underground tunnels of Kiamo Ko.
She didn't know Glinda would be here. She shouldn't have been there. She shouldn't have witnessed it.
Glinda was supposed to learn of her 'death' from the Dorothy, smile and congratulate the whole company with the job well done.
And then (some selfish part of her wished) cry about her Elphie a little in the darkness of the night. And move on. To carry legacy Elphaba pushed on her.
But sweet, good Glinda came all the way from the capital to save her.
So even if Elphaba's heart has been breaking since the moment she pushed Glinda behind magical wall, part of her was relieved. They got to say their goodbyes. To forgive each other. To confess... their sins and grudges.
Elphaba gave her Grimmerie, feeling it's resisting, not willing to part with her, and a single kiss to the cheek. Oh, and her whole hopes and dreams.
The only regret was to make Glinda listen to her screams.
But it'll be alright. Glinda was strong. She will do everything right. It'll be okay. Surely.
/ / / / / / / / / /
Glinda's ears were ringing. There was so much noise.
She desperately put her hands on them, hoping to silence the sounds. But it didn't help. Elphie's screams were rattling inside her head, multiplying every second until she couldn't think about anything else.
Her Elphie just died couple of steps away. And Glinda couldn't do a damn thing. Forced to stand here, banging against the wall till her voice gave up, hoarse and useless in the face of Elphie's magic.
She opened her eyes slowly, tears not stopping for a moment, to stare at her hands now that Glinda realized that these screams would not go away.
They were covered in blood. Elphie's blood, she was sure. Because this was the truth. It was Glinda who killed Elphaba. All because of her. Because she was too afraid to get on the broom, then too afraid to reach out, too afraid of the Wizard and Morrible. There was so much she could've done.
Could've worked as an inside agent all those years. Could've helped. But didn't.
Magical wall fell suddenly, leaving her vulnerable and open. Lost in the worst moment of her life.
"Your goodness?"
There were soldiers of the Gale force, standing around something, with Dorothy half way out of the room.
They were shocked to see her and to see her in this state. But then they were whispering.
"Of course little girl wouldn't be able to kill the Wicked Witch of West by herself."
"His Oziness must've sent Lady Glinda to help".
"She killed the Wicked Witch!"
Their whispers grew louder as they wbecame more and more engrossed in their theory. And all Glinda heard was: she killed the wicked witch.
Soldiers grew more and more agitated, almost drunk on the news of the death of their most terrible enemy.
"Thank you, miss Glinda! You saved us all! You killed the Wicked Witch of the West! She's dead! What a good news!"
They didn't seem to mind that Glinda was sitting on the dirty floor with empty wet eyes and bloody hands. She looked at them without registering the faces at all. Only disgusting smiles at the death of her Elphie, which made her stomach turn. And then she saw it.
A lonely black hat, crumpled under the boot of one of the soldiers.
Glinda saw red.
Her magic responded to her rage, resonating with Grimmerie laying by her side. Soldiers flew at the walls, slowly sliding down with pained groans and raw fear in their eyes.
Glinda crawled towards hat, not having strenght to get up. Her fingers brushed tattered edges and suddenly she wasn't crying anymore.
Glinda the Good laughed maniacally on the floor, smearing blood on the last thing connecting her to Elphie. Elphie, who was dead.
Grimmerie was in her hands before she even thought of it. Both of them left behind, cruely abandoned by the Wicked Witch of the West.
"We don't need a world without her, do we?" Glinda giggled, going through pages with crazy glint in her eyes.
/ / / / / / / / / /
Fiyero met her in the woods near the castle. He smiled at her and Elphaba once again felt surge of guilt, when his new face wasn't quiet able to managed that simple task.
"Hey", his voice was still sheerful though. "Ready to go?"
She lingered near the exit, reluctanly masking it again.
"I saw Glinda, Fiyero", Elphaba whispered, looking at the castle's tower, where she left Glinda to manage by herself. Part of her didn't want Fyiero to hear her. To hear raw pain their reunion left her with.
"She came to warn you", he nodded without surprise, but his shoulders were tense as he turned to the woods.
"She did", Elphaba agreed, as they started to move. "She apologised. Me too".
"It's good", Fiyero nodded again. His eyes are straight on the road.
"It is", she confirmed.
They continued their way in a heavy silence for a while.
"It's too dangerous to tell her", Fiyero said finally, still not looking at her properly. And Elphaba heard what he was trying to say.
It's too dangerous to return to her. You don't have a place beside her anymore.
"I know", she whispered, answering to all his words. "I hope she won't mourn us too much".
"She'll be okay", Fiyero agreed.
And then they heard explosion.

I think that in canon it's a rather popular opinion, that Elphaba is the second to understand that she's in love because she didn't have an opportunity to learn about it growing up.
But I think it's not entirely correct.
Elphaba is academically gifted. And even though her interests are known but I think she looks like someone to read everything at Shiz because finally there's no one to tell her what to do.
So everything could be like that one day, after many sleepless night wondering what is this feeling (pun intended):
Elphaba: Oh! It explains so much!
Glinda: What is this, Elphie?
Elphaba, pointing at the book with triumphant expression: According to this book, I'm in love with you.

We all are waiting for the 'I'm not that girl' reprise in the second part? Of course. It would hurt, but I'm here for it. But imagine if there was a reprise of 'what is this feeling' inside of the last 'no one mourns the wicked'?
And I would be loving you
My whole life long
NO ONE MOURNS THE WICKED
Oh, how sweetly would it hurt my very being

Part 1 - Part 8 - Part 9
Everything after that was a blur. Alex and Winn was talking to Kara and then to J'onn and then even to Lena, who stood there shocked, face wet and finally hopeful.
Kara wasn't thinking, she wanted to bring Lena to the DEO as soon as possible, while there was still life beating underneath pale skin. But Alex managed to made her come to her senses, before she could fly close to the speed of the sound and make more damage than good.
"It's strange to see myself like that", Lena remarked, while they were flying back. She tried to poke her arm, only for her hand to go through.
"I'll take any strangies if it means you're alive", Kara smiled despite her heart trying to beat out of her chest.
"Well, I guess I am alive, but I'm a ghost still, so it's another thing to consider".
"Don't. We'll find the way", Kara retorted sternly, regreting her tone a bit. But she couldn't help it. So many things happened at once. So many emotions was rattling inside her without a way to escape.
"We will", Lena nodded and then spent the rest of the flight contemplating about something.
/ / / / / / / / / /
Medical team was ready as soon as they arrived at the DEO. They took Lena inside for the examination to determine how bad her condition was. It goes without saying that Kara wanted to be there for all of the discussions but she gave up after Alex promised to tell her everything and J'onn was adamant about her not disturbing the doctors.
So Kara passed in front of their screen relaying her report. Every couple of sentences she would freeze to tune to the weak sound of heart on the floor below.
"She is stable but the situation is dire", Alex arrived in the room, looking somber. She raised her hand as soon as Kara opened her mouth. "They had her on medication all this time, but she wasn't properly treated after the car accident. And it seems they gave up a few days ago so Lena is heavily malnourished. They likely just gave her water and some liquid supplements".
Room fell silent. Ghost Lena was standing in the corner with her jaw set stubbornly, clearly not ready to give up yet. But there was still bitterness in that determination.
"So what are we going to do?" Kara went to stand beside her, offering some comfort. She wanted to rub her on the back and even in her disappointment of being unable to do so there sparkled bright hope.
"We will treat her injuries and devise a plan to get her all the missing nutrients back. She should be able to wake up soon if all is well".
"Thank Rao", Kara sighed and exchanged glances with Lena.
Alex smiled at them before going back.
/ / / / / / / / / /
"How are you feeling?" Kara whispered several hours later, sitting beside Lena's bed.
"It's still strange", Lena chuckled quietly from other side of the bed. "But I felt your touch at the base a little, so I think it's a good sign, even if I have no idea why I'm still outside of my body".
"You felt it?"
"I did. Just a faint sensation, but still".
Kara slowly took the hand laying on the bed and brought it to her lips, still looking right into Lena's eyes.
"That is really not fair", Lena groaned, turning away to try and hide her flaming face. "It's not like I can do anything in return".
"It's okay. I'll wait as long as needed. You promised to take me out for dinner".
Lena glared at Kara's smug smile.
"I'll reconsider the offer", she haughtily lifted her chin up, but still smiled tenderly at the end.
They laughed softly, searching each other faces. It was a beautiful moment free of any worry of the past few days. A time of respite, existing only for the purpose of reaffirming that delicate bond between them and finally letting it to take shape.
"Say, Lena. Will you remember me when you wake up?"
"Will I remember you?" Lena's smile was enigmatic and promising. "I won't forget you even if you asked".
/ / / / / / / / / /
The moment Lena's heart missed a beat Kara woke up, violently torn from sleep by the sound she dreaded the most.
By the moment she somehow cleared the fog from the sleep, there was already a nurse in the room with her. Kara caught only "critical" and "emergency" in her talk over the phone.
"No, no no no", she muttered two steps away from the team, who checked up the vitals and did something Kara wasn't able to understand from the sheer terror of what was happening right in front of her eyes.
"What's going on?" Alex was a welcome sight. Her sister was the only person Kara trusted right now. She would know what to do. She would save Lena.
"Agent Danvers, we need the resuscitation kit. The situation is dire".
After that Kara's world went silent. It was something that no headphones on this planet was able to do. But there was only Lena lying on the medical bed, staff frantically moving around and her sister giving out the commands. And all of that deadly quiet.
"I don't want to lose you", she whispered. Her eyes completely dry, as if even her body denied the possibility.
"It's okay", Ghost Lena was suddenly standing in front of her, blocking the view of yet another tradegy Kara witnessed. "It's okay, you saved me. As you promised. So it's okay".
And seeing her so accepting was even more heartbreaking.
"What am I going to say to Sam? Or to Winn? He wanted to meet you so badly", Kara muttered, lost. "What am I- what am I going to do..?"
"You'll live, you'll save people with your words and you powers and you will remember that there was a Lena Luthor who was not a monster".
Lena was standing there, strong and beatiful. And Kara wanted to scream. To ask why won't she just say that everything is going to be alright. Why was she saying the stuff like if it's her last words. Why was she smiling so sadly. Why she was leaving Kara behind.
Beep
Beep
Be-e-e-ep
Steady sound of the heart monitor suddenly stopped. And Lena closed her eyes, swallowing the tears, so that she can seem strong a little longer. But despite medical team running around and doing everything they can, Lena started to fade. So Kara did the only thing she could think about in these last few moments they had.
She surged forward to kiss Lena.
Even if it was futile, even if she was going to fall right through her.
This was for them. The last act of defiance against fate.
/ / / / / / / / / /
"You don't need to do that, Kara", Clark said to her on the way.
"I need to", Kara frowned, even if it was hard to go there.
"I don't want to see you hurt".
"I'm not going to be hurt, I've come to terms with it".
They stopped at the secretary desk.
Almost half a year has passed since Kara last saw Lena. And it still hurt so much that even seeing the logo of Luthor Corp was enough for her mind to wander for the next two days.
And with their recent investigation her resolve was tested more than once.
"You may go inside".
Inside was the same as when they went there the first time. And Lena was still beautiful, sitting in her chair, reading Clark's article.
After waking up and reclaming the company, she looked like a true bussinesswoman. Sharp and strong. Less soft, more predatory.
"Thank you, mister Kent. This is exactly the kind of press my company needs after yesterday's attack".
Lena and Clark exchanged some pleasantaries, more sincere than the first time they met. And something inside Kara preened at her only blood relative's approval.
"What about you, Miss Danvers?" Lena's smile made everything inside Kara flip upside down. "I didn't see your name on the byline".
The way she almost breathed out these words left Kara scrumbling for reply.
"Uh... Well, as I said, I'm not a reporter".
"You could've fooled me".
Perhaps there was a hope yet. Kara couldn't wipe dreamy smile off her face. Seeing Lena alive was a miracle, even if they were suddenly back to being strangers. But seeing Lena so... flirtatious was a ray of hope Kara tried to crush all this time.
"I hope this isn't the last time we talk?"
"I hope not either. I'll wait as long as needed, so please call me when your schedule has an opening".
She and Clark turned to leave. And now there was a possibility. In Lena's smile, in her now racing heartbeat. It didn't matter if she didn't remember. They'll make new memories together.
"Miss Danvers?" Lena called after her. Kara nodded to Clark to go ahead and turned around.
"Yes?"
There was tears streaming down Lena's cheeks, and before Kara could panic and rush to her, she spoke with a tender smile.
"I believe I promised you dinner".

I think it's a right time to share that after one of my obsession periods with Wicked, I started a folder in my phone, labeled 'What is this feeling'.
(Because it's my most favorite song in the whole movie. Partly because it doesn't break my heart, otherwise I wouldn't be able to choose a favorite at all).
This folder is for any screenshots of this exact phrase. And now it contains 91 proofs of my undying love for the Wicked.

Part 1 - Part 7 - Part 8 - Part 9
Kara bathed in the artificial light, feeling her powers restoring. But it didn't help with her tangled thoughts at all.
J'onn and Alex was planning a mission, Winn was checking the equipment. And Lena...
After declaring that Lilian Luthor was the culprit, Lena's image blurred even with Winn's device still working. She silently took a step outside of the room to disappear completely.
Lena looked really shaken. But then she appeared ten minutes later, face resolute, only to start helping Winn. They seem able to communicate through gestures alone and judging by his exclamations Lena made some good suggestions.
Honestly speaking, Kara was shaken herself. It's not that she was that afraid to face Lilian Luthor, but the thought about the fact that the woman who called herself Lena's mother (even just for the sake of public appearances) tried to kill her... Anger started to boil inside Kara. For her cousin, for innocent people Luthor family hurt, and for Lena.
"Kara? Is everything alright?"
Alex stepped inside the room in dark googles which made her look silly, and Kara smiled despite the situation.
"Yes, thanks, Alex. I think I need another couple of minutes and we can start".
"It's good. But I'm still not sure if we need to do it now. It will be better if have another day or two to get ready".
"Maybe, but I agree with J'onn. We don't know if Lilian knows that we have Lena's files, so it's better to do it fast, even if we won't take her in custody".
"Yes-yes, I know. We'll do it like you both decided. But I was talking about you. Are you okay?" Her sister looked worried even in her funny googles.
"As much as I can", Kara said truthfully, closing her eyes. "I'm nervous about going into Cadmus base, knowing it can have kryptonite. And..."
Alex just waited for her to continue.
"I kinda don't want to go there. I will need to come to terms that Lena... I want to help, really. And I know it was just couple of days, but... I see her, Alex. I hear her. I talk with her. I... I don't want to see her dead body".
They just sat here in silence. Alex, a steady presence by her side. They both pretended that tears didn't slide down her cheeks.
/ / / / / / / / /
"Kara", Lena was floating near, once again visible to only one person.
"Yes, Lena?" Kara wanted to call her name again. To call her enough times so that her name is permanently etched inside her mind.
"Thank you for your help. If not for you... I would've been stuck inside that apartment for eternity. Meeting you was the best moment of my afterlife". Lena chuckled but it sounded wet. Kara couldn't bring herself to look at her.
"I'm glad to meet you too. Even if we didn't know each other for long, I enjoyed our time together".
They fell silent.
"What's your favorite color?" Lena suddenly blurted.
"Red", Kara smiled despite her surprise. "It was one of the colors of my House, and the color of Rao. What's yours?"
"I don't really remember. But I think it either green or blue".
"Not really a fair game of twenty questions."
"I'm a businesswoman, Kara. I'm not really fair".
Kara hoped that she would remember this smile for the long time.
/ / / / / / / / /
They played all the way to the base. Laughing and bickering like they knew each other for many years. And Alex and J'onn who was usually pretty strict about communication on missions didn't say a word.
But they quited down when the entrance to the underground base showed up.
The way inside was easier than expected so everyone was tense. Lena helped by looking through walls which allowed them not to waste time on unnecessary rooms. But they all were wary of letting her go too far because no one was sure what will happen if Lena found her body.
Kara was crossing the hall to one of the wings when doors locked on the both sides. She always thought it was funny. People could search up how she bents metals and crushes concrete but they still thought simple steel locks can stop her.
"Well-well-well, who do we have here? Hello Supergirl. What brought you to one of my facilites?" Speakers in the corners became active with the woman's voice.
"Where is Lena?" Kara asked with all the patience she could master, even if her hands clenched at her sides.
"And who are you to my daughter?"
"I'm a friend", Kara looked right into camera.
Lilian scoffed and judging by the quiet murmur from speakers gave a string of commands.
"Kara, Lilian's not here", Winn intervened in the ear, "I'll try to track her, but it'll be better if you just go find Lena".
Kara turned around, destroying the lock with lasers without any delay. There wasn't a point in listening to the psycopath.
"You can take her", suddenly sounded behind Kara's back. Lilian's voice was cold and sneering. "She was even more useless than I expected. Perhaps she'll have some purpose being your punching bag. After all, you even called 'Luthor' your friend. Surely there has to be at least some purpose like that".
Kara saw Lena freezing in front of her, almost half way to the next door. She was silent and apathetic as soon as they heard Lilian, blank face facing the wall. But now she started flickering rapidly, which looked a lot like trembling.
"Don't you dare talk about Lena like that!" Kara whirled around, powered by rage and an image of Lena's back, so small and vulnerable.
If Lilian was there perhaps Kara wouldn't be able to restrain herself. But now she just blasted a camera and speakers with a good part of the wall. Like from underneath the water she heard Alex's swearing and Winn's aggresive typing. Even if he won't be able to actually destroy Lilian Luthor, but she will have some big troubles after his intervention.
It actually helped Kara to calm down and speed up to Lena. It was another instance when she regreted deeply about being unable to hug her.
"She was always like that", Lena smiled weakly and went ahead without a word.
Kara, worried sick, went after her.
/ / / / / / / / /
They passed through underground complex, defeating mercenaries, who obviously lacked any real skills. Alex reported that back up teams did the same to the reinforcements outside.
Even if it was good, but it's kind of felt like an insult to have Lena guarded so poorly.
"Supergirl, next is the room around which all defences were made. So we think it's our target", Alex paused. "Good luck".
Kara nodded even if her sister couldn't actually see her. She crumpled door, so that no melted metal would hurt Lena's body.
They stood here, not really looking inside. And seeing Lena hesitate to step in the room made Kara feel like she needed to play hero just one more time for her. So she made the first step after a big sigh even if it was the last thing she wanted to do.
Room was small and crumpled. There was a table, a chair and a bed. Nothing to indicate that there was someone's daughter, sister, friend's body lying inside.
There really wasn't a chance that Kara's eyes wouldn't be drawn to Lena the moment they finally were in the same space.
Lena was- Lena's body was lying on the bed. It looked pale, deadly white, which made her raven hair look even darker in comparison. It was dressed in some kind of prison's rob.
Kara sobbed.
"It's a limited collection jacket, Kara!" She pouted, turning her head away.
"Sorry-sorry", Kara laughed gently, lifting her hands up. "I have no idea about wealthy people trends despite working for Cat Grant. The world of fashion changes too fast. But it suits you!"
"Thanks", Lena smiled shy, blushing just a tiniest bit.
She knew. She knew all along that Lena was dead. That when they find her body, Lena won't open her gorgeous green eyes to look and smile at her. That she won't be warm to the touch.
But still, standing there, face to face with reality, Kara couldn't help her tears.
"It's a shame I can't hug you", Lena whispered when she thought Kara fell asleep after talking about small nothings the day they decided to ask Alex for help. "I bet it would've felt nice. And safe".
She lowered on her knees beside the bed, gently taking Lena's hand in hers, flinching from the feeling of cold skin.
Ghost Lena gasped behind her. But all Kara could think about was grieving for a friend who's smile made her heart race. Who was lost forever because of stupid power play in which she didn't even want to participate.
"I really wish we met sooner", Lena said somber. "I would've loved to take you out for a dinner or, you know, hang out. I'm rich enough for you to eat freely with your kryptonian metabolism." She sighed softly.
Kara winked, feeling bolder after meeting Sam.
"I would've loved to hang out even if you didn't spent a cent. I'm not that kind of girl, you know".
Kara lowered her head to the palm of the cold hand, praying that Rao's light helps guide Lena. And then she heard it.
Badum-badum
Kara's own heart painfully squeezed inside her chest to the point of leaving her gasping for air.
She chocked on the tears, which now freely ran down her face.
Kara looked up, ignoring worried voices in her ear.
When her eyes met Lena's she knew that it was really true.
"Y-you are- you are alive..."

Do u post on ao3?
Love your latest update of supercorp fic!
Hi! Thank you for the compliment!
And no, sadly I'm not posting on ao3. But it's not off the table.
I started tumblr just because I wanted to get ideas out of my system and perhaps to someone who will like it. And somehow it evolved to short multuchapter fics 😅.
I post here because I like that I can feel the fandom and communicate with the fans of the same fandom as me more directly. But I considered going to ao3 several times, so it's still in thoughts.
I really like the feeling of sharing my passion for stories with people who love the same things as me whether here or at any other platform.

I need a fic with a 'Yor is everyone's favorite' au. But not in a way she already is. Just listen.
What if there is basically a Yor fanclub, which consists of mothers of kids at Academia. And not like in a romantic way, but in a way that:
Look, my marriage sucks, but there is no way out of it and Yor Forger is one happily married woman, but damn, when was the last time someone held you in arms that strong and firm without it being considered adultery?
So they just fangirling about knightly Yor and she has no idea, but then she discovers they have a club without her and all these highly renowed women are rushing to reassure her that no, they like her and didn't want to exclude her. So they lie that this is a tea club. And then just ask her to help around so they can look at her arms and sometimes enjoy her catching or lifting them.
And when Yor comes to them with 'I think my husband doesn't love me' dilemma, they are absolutely furious.
"How can he not love our sweet Yor?!?"
And then they are threatening the best spy in country to treat and pamper his wife because if he's not then they will use every possible connection to ruin him.
And Loid is simply flabberggasted, because he loves his wife, you know, for the mission. But then he is warmed by the thought that Yor has so many good friends because they will take good care of her when he inevitably needs to leave because of the mission.
And they all just silly.

Part 1 - Part 6 - Part 7 - Part 8
"Look, it's not like I didn't believe you, but woah", Winn said, gaping. Alex silently nodded in agreement.
"Thank you all for helping me", Lena smiled warmly, still a bit shy now that everyone suddenly saw her.
"Em, yeah, sorry, Lena, there is a catch", Winn winced, rubbing back of his head sheepishly. "We kinda can't hear you. Because you speak so quietly that only Kara's ears can catch it, so if I make you loud enough for us..."
Lena tilted her head, thinking for a bit. She signaled Kara to relay her words.
"But it's not like all sounds are deafening for Kara", it was strange to talk about herself like that, "So it means there is some biological adjustments for her hearing".
"Of course, but I didn't want fo experiment with something that could potentially end very bad".
Lena and Winn traded ideas back and forth, already creating precautions, when Alex interrupted them, looking amused.
"Sorry to stop you both from nerding out but J'onn said we can just talk in the red lamp room. It will solve all your problems, no?"
Two geniuses meekly nodded.
"This way, miss Luthor". J'onn smiled and gestured to the coridor.
/ / / / / / / / /
Winn (with Lena right behind his shoulder) inserted some new parameters into his tablet, once they settled in the red sun lamps' room. And when he nodded to Lena, she said tentatively:
"Thank you all for your help", she smiled.
"I'm glad to help fellow genius", Winn happily answered. "Now we just need to..."
"Find my body, yes", Alex and Winn winced. Kara stared at the floor, trying not to see Lena's face, as she was talking about it.
"Yes, that. But we need to do one very important thing first".
Everyone glanced at each other with confusion. J'onn seemed to know what's that already, but he still looked relaxed, so Kara and Alex just waited till Winn's desire for dramatics was satisfied.
"We need to introduce ourselves!" Lena laughed, and wobbled in the air a little. It seemed that being visible didn't take away her ghostly powers. And while Winn was listing all his accomplishments, Kara found herself thinking.
Lena looked much more real now. Even without her powers Kara could see tiny freckles lining up on the side of her neck. Red lamps gave her green eyes mysterious glow, making Lena look ephemeral in a way that didn't have anything with the her status of a ghost.
It pained Kara so much to see her like that. Like she would be soft and warm to the touch, like she could really hug Kara or pat her cheek, like they need to just save her and not to retrieve her body.
Still Kara couldn't help but reach out hoping against everything that the fact that everyone can see Lena meant she can touch her.
When her hand went right through the edge of Lena's jacket, Kara tried very hard to hide her disappointment, but she still caught J'onn's sympathetic smile.
"So... You are the woman my sister is seeing", Alex asked strictly, and Lena chocked on the words she exchanged with Winn.
"I- Well, technically... I guess I am..?" It was adorable to see Lena suddenly fumbling with words, and Kara decided to play the knight despite her own embarrassment.
"Alex", she shook her head, exasperated. "Don't mess with Lena".
"What? She is," Alex shrugged, but finally smiled. "It's not like I said anything wrong. And here you are, already nagging me".
"This is Agent Danvers, Supergirl's foster sister", J'onn intervened, when Kara opened her mouth to bicker. "We are currently in DEO, department of extra-normal operations. And I am its Director - J'onn J'onzz."
"It's good to meet you, sir", Lena nodded.
"Likewise. I promise, that DEO will do everything to secure your body and will protect it until we can hand it over to miss Arias".
"I... appreciate it."
Room grew somber. When Winn's tablet chimed, he scattered to read it, if only to avoid awkward atmosphere.
"Miss Arias send us the information".
"It was fast", Alex said, already scanning the data from behind his shoulder.
"Well, she had a password. I will put it over our map".
They gathered around small tablet, looking at the area north of National city. Lena's coordinats, the green dot on the screen, was constantly changing as the map adjusted, only to stop right above the red mark.
"It's a Cadmus base", J'onn said grimly and stood up, already giving out commands to the agents by his communication device.
"This one is Lilian Luthor's", Alex sighed and joined her director in getting ready. They didn't seem hurried, since they will have to wait until Kara restores her powers.
"I guess she's one of my relatives?" Lena asked carefully.
"Your adoptive mother, to be precise", Winn was already putting dossier up front.
He started to recount his files to Lena, but Kara, tense after mention of Cadmus and as attuned to Lena as she is, felt that something was wrong.
Lena was pale. She always had a bit of white hue when Kara was the only one to see her, but now even with Winn's invention she was almost transperent.
"It's her. This is the woman I talked with, when my car crushed". Lena's voice was detached and angry, her hands clenched. When she turned to look at Kara, her voice cracked in the middle. "She wanted to kill me".

Part 1 - Part 5 - Part 6 - Part 7
"What brought you there, Supergirl?"
If Kara couldn't hear Samantha's skyrocketed pulse, she would've really thought that CEO expected her to arrive. Lena curiously looked at the office, trying to remember anything.
"I'm here to talk about Lena Luthor", Kara said as respectfully as possible, but Samantha still stiffened in her chair. It seems she contemplated shutting the window right into the hero's floating face.
"I don't think I'll do Lena any better if I talk with you. I'm worried enough without a Super after her".
Lena swiftly turned around. She went to stand right in front of the woman, searching something in her face.
"You misunderstood, I'm not-"
"It hard to misunderstand a Super asking about Luthor", Samantha stubbornly clenched her jaw. "Lena is already in the hands of her psycho mother. If you want to help just to drag Lena into your families' agenta then don't bother. I'll find her myself".
Kara gaped, still floating outside a window. Of course, there were people who didn't like her, but not many was ready to express it right into her face.
Lena, who was still inside, studying Samantha's expression, suddenly smiled broadly. She turned to Kara, beaming:
"I remember! It's Sam! We were working together, but she's a friend. She looked after me when I was overworking. And I know her daughter, Ruby. She's the only trustworthy person here!"
Lena laughed. Kara could tell that besides being happy to see her friend, Lena was more happy to remember something. Her genuine smile was a beautiful sight.
"Em, Sam? I will explain, but can you maybe open the window?"
"I don't think we are close enough to call each other by nicknames", Sam coldly said. Kara and Lena winced.
"Of course, miss Arias, but I-" Kara sighed. How can you say to someone that you see ghosts? "I just want to find Lena".
"And I don't think you were that close to Lena to call her that", Sam bristled.
Kara started to feel irritated too. It was her who can see Lena. It was her, who made the whole secret goverment agency searching for Lena. So who Samantha Arias thought she was to decide if she was close to Lena or not.
"Kara, please", Lena floated outside the window to stop near Kara. Despite their two flights she still pointedly didn't look down and was able to stay calm only when Kara was talking to her. "She's just worried".
Kara huffed, interrupting her and Sam's glaring to look at Lena.
"Well, I do too! You are out there, and we need her to look for the records of your emergency button, but we stuck here arguing if I can call you by your name! Which I totally can because you said I can, so who she is to say that I-"
Lena's chuckle interrupted Kara's angry whisper babbling. She looked fondly on superhero, before patting her on the cheek. Well, trying. She's kind of patted the air less than an inch away from Kara's face.
"Of course you can, darling. I prefer that you do, actually". Lena's wink made all Kara's fighting spirit disappear. Only to be replaced by the warm feeling that made her blush and straighten up at the same time.
When she remembered that Supergirl was kind of in the middle of conversation, Kara turned to the window to find Sam looking at her strangely.
"If I tell you Lena's password, will you believe that I can see her?"
As one can expect Sam was devastated when she heard that Kara can see Lena's ghost. At first she refused to believe that Kara was telling truth. But Lena's password to her personal files (including data from emergency button) and some meaningless for Kara but clearly familiar to Sam words, CEO was finally convinced. Then she refused to believe that Lena was most likely... not alive. And, well, Kara could understand that.
Sam and Lena talked by themselves for a bit before they left her to gather and transfer data about place where Lena's emergency device was last active. Kara didn't listen to them to respect their privacy, but she got the main idea when Sam returned with red eyes and Lena was more quiet than usual.
"Please, send the information like that", Kara passed to Sam paper with instructions Winn provided. They couldn't afford to lose data or have it intercepted after all. "I'll keep you informed. And take this watches for you and your daughter. If you press it there, I or Superman will hear it. Just in case".
Sam nodded gratefully.
"Be safe, Sam", Lena whispered as they took off. Sam's silent form in the window slowly disappeared from the view.
/ / / / / / / / / /
Winn's chatter in DEO was heard from the balcony even without Kara's superhearing. He was telling Alex about something, excitedly waving his hands around.
Lena gave a weak smile, when he knocked off some of his instuments. Kara considered letting him eat her pudding he's been eyeing all morning for this accomplishment.
"If you trap Lena inside this machine of yours just for the sake of reenacting the Ghost Busters, I'll leave you atop of Catco".
Winn turned to her on his chair, clearly affronted. But before he could retort, Kara said to the empty space beside her:
"No, Lena. Don't encourage him. Even if you are curious, I won't risk you being stuck inside this".
Winn saw her interacting with Lena for the first time. It was... a strange sight.
"I like her more than you already", he said instead, enjoying Kara's rolling eyes. "Thank you, miss Luthor!"
Kara grumbled, but still conveyed Lena's permission to call her by name.
"So, Lena it is! I'm Winn, by the way. Since it's not like someone will introduse us", he looked at Danvers sisters with accusation. Alex raised her hands.
"It's not like I was introduced too".
Before Winn could retort, J'onn entered the room, giving them strict look.
"Let's start, mister Winslow."
"Yes, sure. After listening to the whole story, I thought that perhaps Kara's ability to see Lena is a part of her kryptonian powers. We still need to understand why she's seeing Lena only though, but for now it's not really important. So I went through the information on Kara and J'onn's sight and hearing since he's not able to interact Lena, and tried to take a guess what is responsible for seeing ghosts. So here it is!" He put small metallic box on the table. "This little one will stabilize Lena's frequencies in the room enough for us, non-kryptonians, to interact with her".
He pressed something on his tablet, and his small device started to emit faint noise.
Kara saw Lena's image flicker a bit and got ready to blast device if something went even slightly wrong.
"Hi?"
From Winn and Alex's gasps Kara understood that they too saw Lena's shy smile.

Part 1 - Part 4 - Part 5 - Part 6
When Alex managed to get Kara to talk, J'onn and Winn was already at the DEO.
Honestly speaking, Kara didn't know herself why everything Lena said upset her so much.
It's not like she was entirely wrong. Lena Luthor was the only sister of Lex Luthor, daughter of Lilian Luthor, so basically it wasn't much of a stretch to assume that she was like them.
"Lena Luthor, 22 years old, claimed to be abducted a month ago after car accident on her way to the National City, reported by her friend and colleague Samantha Arias. She was supposed to move here to take over Luthor Corp after Lex was sentenced to the prison. Right now that is all we know". Alex reported to J'onn while Winn tinkered with something on the table near.
"And no one knows where she is after a month?" Kara asked incredulously.
"No one searched", Alex's grim answer made Winn look up from his ghost vacuum. "Police didn't find anything, and well, they wasn't the most enthusiastic about it. And we were swamped with work even without someone who is not even on the DEO's territory".
"Well, we have time now", Winn shrugged. "We need to find... the body. She has a friend who's worried about her. Friend with a child actually. Lena Luthor seemed close to their family".
They all fell silent. Lena being a ghost didn't gave any positivety to their search.
"Find everything about her", J'onn said to Winn, lowering his heavy hand on Kara's shoulder. It was grounding to feel the pressure unlike usual. "I'll talk with officers and then we'll go to the site".
Kara was stuck between her feelings. She didn't know Lena for long so it was strange to worry for her like that and there was their families' history also, but still. Kara was the only one to see her, the only one to hear someone who was basically kidnapped after a car crush. It was complicated.
"I'll go home for a bit. Maybe... she's there".
/ / / / / / / /
"Lena?"
Kara tentatively asked, walking around her apartment. It was quiet and empty as it was supposed to be.
"We are going to find you", she still said to nothing. "I don't know what kind of person you were but I still want to help you. No one deserves to be abandoned."
Her living room was still empty but somehow it wasn't as cold as before.
"I'll find you. And then we'll talk, okay? Just wait for me".
Flying back to the DEO, Kara didn't know that transperent eyes followed her fluttering cape.
/ / / / / / / /
They left Winn in the building as the support, while Alex was contacting with the police, and went to the place, where Lena was last seen. Of course, no one had much hope, still accident happened the whole month ago, but J'onn decided that with their heightened senses they can still get some clues.
So Kara was looking with her x-ray vision for the parts someone could miss. When she turned it off she suddenly noticed someone standing at the side of the road.
"Lena!" Kara rushed to her, despite J'onn's raised brow.
Lena was standing near some random bush, lost in thoughts.
"You are here! I was afraid I won't see you anymore..." it was a bit embarrassing to admit, but no less true. It was a strange attachment, but Kara blame it on the responsibility she has as Supergirl and as the only person able to see Lena.
"You said you won't give up on me", Lena smiled, but it still lacked the gentle wonder her smiles had the day prior. "I wanted to honor your determination".
"Do you remember something?"
"Just blurred moments. It was a day time, I was driving. Why I was driving myself?" Lena muttered, her gaze unfocused. "Then I was afraid. Something happened, it seems. Then I was in pain. Someone talked to me. Then nothing".
"It's already a lot", Kara almost tried to took Lena's hand, before remembering that it won't work. So she was left awkwardly wringing her hands. "We'll look around some more".
"It'so strange to hear you talking to yourself", Winn intervened in her ear. Kara ignored him.
She left Lena there to tell J'onn (and Winn) what happened, but never once Supergirl took her eyes off her for longer than 20 seconds.
J'onn quietly said that it was fortunate that Lena returned. Kara flashed him a grateful smile.
"Miss Luthor, do you remember if you had any devices on you?" J'onn asked in the general direction of Lena, after the hour of examining every piece of junk they could find in the two mile radius.
Lena's image flickered a little while she was thinking. Kara suddenly thought that if Lena was used to flying, she would've wobbled in the air.
"Well, I think I talked with someone while driving, so the phone, I guess? Also... Something small..." she flickered some more, each time somehow more agitated than last.
"I pressed something while everything was hurting. Something no one would've noticed, something I could press while losing cosciousness..." Lena's form suddenly stabilized. She looked at them with realization.
"I had emergency button in my sleeve".

Part 1 - Part 3 - Part 4 - Part 5
Kara felt Alex staring at her, but she couldn't tear her eyes from the screen. She distantly heard woman - no, Lena - talking excitedly to her, absolutely ecstatic at learning her name. She reminded Kara of little kid bubbling away about something new in their life.
But Kara wasn't able to feel happy for her. Because her new ghost friend wasn't just Lena. She was Lena Luthor.
"Kara, are you not happy for me?" Lena pouted which was adorable but didn't go with her image of business woman. Lena flickered a bit and reappeared beside Kara, looking progressively more worried.
Kara couldn't help but flinch.
"Kara?" Lena reached out her hand tentatively, and even if Kara knew she won't be able to touch her, she still moved out of reach.
"Sorry! Sorry, I need to talk with my sister a bit! We'll be back!" Kara stammered and swooped Alex to the next room, trying not to think about Lena's hurt eyes.
Alex almost fell off the chair where Kara settled her before starting passing before her with the speed where she left traces on the floor.
"Kara! Calm down!" Her sister huffed, when her eyes wasn't able to trace Supergirl anymore.
"How can I calm down?! I'm seeing the ghost of Lena Luthor of all people and she knows my secret! Why are you so calm?!" Kara hissed, glancing at the door.
"Oh, believe me, I'm freaking out too, but panicking won't help us. We need to think, not freak out!" She was already texting J'onn, who definitely will nag them about leaving them alone for the weekend.
"Text Winn too. We... we will need to confirm that she's a ghost and not some trap Lex laid out for us". It felt wrong to accuse Lena like that. But Kara wasn't going to risk her family and friends for the vague feeling of someone being the good person.
"Already. He says he's excited to become a ghost hunter but I'm sure he's shaking right now." Alex chuckled and it somehow calmed Kara a little.
"Okay, let's return. I will talk with her. Maybe we will learn something"
/ / / / / / / /
When they went back into the room, Lena was sitting in front of screen, reading her file again and again. But she was flickering constantly, coming in and out of her transparent form.
When sisters returned to her, Lena looked at them almost afraid, disappearing for almost three second, before returning in the corner of the room. She looked ashamed and didn't raise her head at all.
"I- I swear, I wasn't snooping around!" She started before Kara could open her mouth. "I was just reading what happened to me. I didn't touch anything else..."
She looked at the verge of tears despite her eyes being completely dry. And seeing cheerful woman, who just yesterday boldly called herself a ghost and then gave her a lecture on the fashion, behaving like that made Kara's protective instincts kick in.
"Lena, what happened? Of course, you can read your own file! It's okay!"
Lena just stayed silent before taking deep breath.
"I was someone bad, wasn't I?" She sounded small and unsure, glancing at the screen and never at Kara.
It would be helpful if kryptonians can use telepathy because Alex was looking at the questioningly but couldn't bring herself to repeat everything Lena said.
"Lena..."
"No, don't tell me actually. I think I'm better not knowing", Lena smiled weakly and her face slowly morphed into professional mask of indifference, which Kara was yet to see on her. But it somehow hurted. "What if I remember and become bad again?"
"Kara, what is she saying?" Alex whispered but it sounded loud in the almost empty room.
"I will get out of your hair then", Lena gave curt nod, her voice now steady and devoid of emotions. "You promised to help me learn my name and you did it. And I will took your secret to the grave", a humorless chuckle, "Thank you. I won't bother you anymore".
And then Lena vanished before Kara's very eyes.

Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4
"I don't exactly know either. I was just able to do it one day, and your technologies are not exactly suited to study my changes", Kara shrugged. Now that her secret was out there, she lamented her lost dinner.
"Interesting..." ghost lady said, walking to the couch just to stop in the middle of the room. "Do you manipulate gravity to fly?"
"That is... a very good question actually. I don't think I manipulate Earth's gravity. More like I change my own. And what with the interrogation?"
"Ah, sorry. I couldn't talk with anyone for quite a while. It was boring, to say the least."
Kara felt pang of guilt. Being isolated from everyone and everything, without even knowing who you, are sounded more than horrible. It sounded like the worst nightmare...
But woman was cheerful and curious. So Kara made the obvious choice: she decided to help her.
"Do you want me to help you find out who you were?"
Woman froze, slowly turning around to look at Kara once more.
"Do you really mean it?" she whispered, sudenly looking very fragile. Kara smiled.
"Of course! Since you know that I'm Supergirl, it means you are basically part of Superfriends! We'll found out in no time!"
"Superfriends, huh?" Ghost tentatively smiled back. "Sounds good".
/ / / / / / / / /
"Sooo... do you have any clues yet?" Kara asked while they were flying next morning. They found out that the ghost lady didn't have trouble getting out of the apartment and with some manuvering she was able to follow Kara's flying.
Also she vehemently refused using random name for their convenience. Kara was surprised at her stubborness but then thought about her surname and how sometimes she felt like it was dissappearing and understood it a bit more.
"Well, looking at my clothes I don't think I died a long time ago. And it seems like I had some money".
"Well, it's a start, I guess. We have access to many records, so it should be possible to find you".
"Say, Kara, am I transperent to you? Or you see me completely?"
Kara paused, glancing at the woman beside her. She wasn't transperent at all. And it was somehow a problem in its own right.
"I can see you very clearly", Kara coughed, trying to look if they were near DEO yet. "I will describe you to my sister and she'll help, don't worry".
They spent the rest of the trip in comfortable silence.
/ / / / / / / / /
"Let me get this straight: you are seeing a ghost we spent hours trying to find yesterday, you promised to help her, and she knows you are Supergirl. Am I right?" Alex asked, massaging her nose bridge.
"Yep, sounds about right". Alex looked really pained in the face of her sunny smile.
"Sure, why not. It's not the most bizzare thing that happened with us anyway. Let's try to give your new ghost friend some closure. Wait when Winn learns about it".
Alex opened some kind of search bar, waiting. She looked ruffled and tired, but determined.
"We know it happened not long ago, maybe about month or so, we think", Kara looked at woman and they gave each other the nod. Ghost lady said that despite not knowing her name she retained some common knowledge. And 'it's a limited collection jacket, Kara, they were sold couple of months ago'.
"We think, huh?" Alex raised her brow, but diligently entered time frame.
"Also she is pretty well-off, has black hair and emerald eyes". Woman's image flickered couple of times which Kara understood was out of embarrassment. She didn't lie about seeing her clearly and there was definitely a blush on her cheeks. Alex scowled.
"Just green would be enough, thank you", she typed information in on her tablet. "Anything else you wanna share?"
"I have a piercing in the navel", her new ghost friend whispered right into Kara's ear in a low tone.
"Nope!" Kara squeeked to her sister, casting offended glances at the very smug looking ghost. Woman tapped at her cheek, and Kara refused to aknowledge her own red face. "We will take a look first like that".
"It's good I can't see her". Alex sighed and turned to the big screen. "Tell me if something catches your eye".
All three of them looked closely at the incident reports. Dozens of victims was displayed before their eyes - Kara's forever reminder that she can't save everyone.
"Right there!" Woman screamed, rushing closer.
"Alex! She found it!" Kara stopped her sister.
"I'll rewind it but are you sure? It's non-fatal reports. And more then that..."
"Kara, look!" her ghost friend was glued to the screen with the happy smile that wholly reached her eyes. "It's me! That's my name!"
Under her palm words glowed.
Lena Luthor

Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3
Kara burned a pretty little hole right through her pasta. And the plate. And the floor...
She twirled around with fork lifted like a sword. Which is entirely the fault of her teen-self obsession with knight literature. Because fork? Really? She can just blast intruder to space.
"Sorry, sorry, I didn't want to scare you", woman smiled sheepishly, holding her hands up. "But I'm still not used to you being able to see me".
"Who are you and how were you able to get there?" Kara paused, tilting her head to the side. "What do you mean by 'being able to see you'?"
"Oh, I'm a ghost!" Woman said way too cheerfully. "And before no one saw me, so I was surprised too".
Kara considered it to be elaborated prank of their friend group. But the woman really didn't have a heartbeat, and wasn't visible through x-ray vision.
"I don't exactly believe that you are a ghost", Kara lowered the fork, thinking how is she going to contact Alex.
Woman lifted her neat brow and then stepped right in the middle of Kara's coffee table. And not on the table, in the table.
"Well, it's not very convincing either. I know creatures that can do that too", it was convincing, but still.
"Well, I know I was human, and now no one can see me and I can go through objects. I'm pretty sure I'm a ghost."
Woman's voice was a bit bitter, but she still smilled.
"What is your name then?" Kara sighed, lowering her weapon on the counter. It's not like she believed her, just curious.
Woman's smile dropped, and she looked pained and sad. And then she vanished right in front of Kara's eyes.
/ / / / / / /
Next evening Kara was cooking, thinking about her apartment's ghost. She didn't tell Alex about the second encounter yet, because well, it's not like anything happened.
But still, the woman looked hurt by her question yesterday, which left the bitter aftertaste in Kara's mouth. Was it a bad etiquette to ask ghosts for their names?
"You still didn't tell me how are you able to shoot lasers from your eyes".
Kara still jumped a little, but managed to stay silent. Woman was standing at the proper distance away, looking a bit shy.
"Oh, um, hi? I wanted to say sorry if I offended you yesterday." It was a bizzare situation but still. Kara didn't want to be rude.
"No-no, I'm sorry. I may be aware that I'm a ghost, but I still not exactly mastered this whole thing, not for the lack of trying, mind you", woman waved her hands, before tucking her raven hair behind ear. "So I accidentally dissapeared because I was upset. And I kinda just figured out how to return".
"Then sorry for upsetting you".
"No, you didn't know! I just... I can't remember my name, and it's frustrating".
Woman looked down, but then visibly shaked herself and smiled at Kara again.
"So how do you shoot your lasers?"
"Oh, you see, I'm kinda..." Kara trailed off, because opening her secret to stranger was difficult and frankly she still didn't now if she was actually a ghost.
"Supergirl, I know. More like I know our yellow sun gave you your powers, but your eyes didn't have any organs to produce lasers initially so how are you able to?"
Kara lamented the need to tell Alex that the ghost knows her secret and unable to sign the NDA.
