Someone left a bottle of Evan William's Apple on the Yankee Candle racks at Walmart. A bunch of the packages were opened, none of the wax was stolen, but everything was jumbled together like it was grabbed in a rush.

I like to think maybe the person walked in, drunk on the holidays (due to depression and/or loneliness), was trying to drink to feel better but found a smell that made them smile again. It made them smile so much, they didn't want to drink again.

Please be safe over the holidays, and always remember there is always someone there to talk to.

By a long shot, the most entertaining thing I've seen in my college town was a crowd of drunk sorority girls crouching down and pspspsing to lure a very confused orange cat out from under a restaurant's patio deck because they believed that he'd escaped from the cat cafe up the street, and when they got the cat out and contacted the cafe, the owners were like "Hey, thanks, but we've never seen this guy before in our lives. This is just some cat"

Looking for a DnD group

Hey, so, I’ve recently really wanted to start playing DnD online, to have something social to do that isn’t uni. Thing is, I have no idea where to look for groups, or anything like that. I have several character ideas, a very basic understanding of how to play (I’ve been watching a few tutorials, a lot of Critical Role, etc, and I’m going to order either the Player’s Handbook, or the Beginner’s Set soon) and it honestly seems like the perfect game for me.

What I’m looking for in a group:

-queer friendly (because I’m queer and will probably play a character who is, too)

-meets up online for a few hours once or twice a week (preferably on a regular schedule, because I like knowing what my week looks like for uni, etc. My timezone is GMT+1, if that helps)

-not racist, transphobic, homophobic, or really anything in that direction.

-18+ (because a bit of gore and sexy times is always fun)

-beginner friendly (I’ll try my best to play as well as possible, but I’ll definitely make mistakes and have to ask a few questions, so I need people who are cool with that)

-not too heavy on combat (I do like kicking ass/getting my ass kicked, but I find the plot, relationships between characters, etc, more interesting)

So, if you’re trying to start a group, you know someone who is, you know where I should be looking, or even if you’re also looking, let me know! DM me, I can tell you more about myself or about the characters I have in mind. Please! I need social interaction!

Also, I don’t care if it’s text-based, or voice, either works, and I’m not really picky on whether it’s classic DnD, or something based on DnD gameplay, or whatever. I’m just excited to meet new people and have some nerdy, creative fun!

Hey y'all,

I haven't posted in a long as heck time. This blog is mostly a place for me to post some of my poetry, journal my thoughts, and reading others art. I haven't posted due to me not writing anything I feel to be post worthy.

However, I have something important to say, and I'm leaving out a lot of details to protect identities and the fact it's not my story to tell:

I had a recent scare that an old friend was getting ready to kill themselves. His phone was off the line, they wouldn't answer on social media, and it was hard to process. It's always the people you don't expect. By the grace of God, a stranger found him before something bad hapoened. Just know, if you're going through a rough patch in life, someone is always there.

Media will try and portray such issues as selfish, and while people can easily say this action is taken to an extreme, never feel guilty about your struggles. I am beyond sorry the world has made you feel you don't have options, that this just seems the best for you and everyone, and the world doesn't care for you.

Please read my words, and know they are of love - I am always there, your friends and family are always there, there are hotlines you can call, and so much more. You are worthy of this world.... It's people like me who don't deserve you. I know I can't fix all the issues, but I promise I would do whatever I can to help - as I'm certain several others would. Please, please, please know you're wonderful and strong. Please, please, please know you can do this. Please, please, please know you're never alone.
