babe. I know we’re all going thru a lot rn but I just wanna give u the heads up that sesame streets future is in jeopardy. hbo has chosen not to renew it for new episodes (a series that has been going since 1969) and the residents of 123 Sesame Street no longer have a home :(

its true that complimenting strangers is fun and nice. people will go "awwww really" when you say their hair is cute. people will go "thanks" and straighten up a little when you compliment the colors they're wearing. people will say "oh yeah i got it at (place)" if you say a charm on their bag is cool. people really do appreciate it and its very whimsy and you can just do this for free

adopting people is one of my favorite pastimes (i’m keeping a running tally of the family roles everyone desires so i can organize the family tree). i have had the privilege of having some great irl aunts and aunt figures, and i’ve been an uncle for several years now (said family tree is horrendous i’m sorry). but there’s so much value in making your own family and choosing who you want to be within it.
