i hate when a piece of kids media is so well made that people start saying "clearly this was made FOR adults not for silly little babies. we are the true target demographic" like cmon man. you don't have to pretend it's something it isn't. sometimes things that are made for 12 year olds are good.

Seems I'll be mostly sharing old content, hehe. This is something I made based on a theory I found online about Disney's Snow White, saying that at the end the princess dies and the Prince is Death taking her to the afterlife. From that I just had fun picturing the idea that a Disney princess literally married Death and, as a consequence, she becomes Queen of Death. (Or Death becomes a Disney prince, haha)

One of the things about writing that feels the silliest is when there’s a detail in the scene that the character doesn’t think is important but you know the reader will know it’s important because otherwise it wouldn’t be there, so you’re just sort of making eye contact with the reader over the character’s head and whispering “don’t tell them”

In S1 Henry says so many times that if someone tries to leave Storybrooke that bad things will happen. We see in S3 we see that every day is the same. People don’t deviate from the script that Regina created for them. She’s the only one who can make other choices. And obviously Henry since he was never affected by the curse.

So how does he know bad things happen? And why does he keep repeating it so emphatically?

Did he influence someone? Did he keep asking Archie why he didn’t leave? And to prove it was safe, did Archie try to leave town? Only to crash and end up in the hospital? Was Henry traumatized and scared to talk anyone else into leaving? Is that why he left to find Emma? So that he was the only one taking that risk?

There has to be more to the story than Henry has admitted.
