Today was just all-around rough.

quarantine

I’ve been so inspired by Drew Barrymore’s blog in quarantine, that I felt like I should jot a few of my own words down. I certainly don’t have the luxury of being bored with this time working at home, as having an (almost) one-year-old to occupy while trying to change up lesson plans allows for only maybe an hour or so to myself at night. 

Basically I have ended each day by changing from my pajamas from the night before into some new pajamas. 

And my nails are chipped, my hair is a disaster, but I HAVE managed to pluck my eyebrows twice. 

My phone is broken and I need to get that replaced. Interesting timing.

Today is... Sunday. I have to keep reminding myself of the days. It rained most of the day, and true to weekends we have had in quarantine, I have a to-do list a mile long while not being able to complete much more than just doing the laundry. And even that isn’t finished. 

So far, Dave and I have watched Tiger King, three season of Ozark, and now are watching Outer Banks. Outer Banks reminds me of a mix of The OC and Harper’s Island. It definitely makes me nostalgic for our younger days. But at the same time, it reminds me how much I am loving being 32.

thirtysomething

um... it’s been awhile, and I just had the urge to come on here. 

* so far, the most satisfying thing I did today was descale my coffee machine. I realize this is really, really sad, but at the same time makes me feel like an adult.

*enjoyed some vietnamese lunch with kato. while I wouldn’t run back there, I did think their dumplings were delicious, and I actually liked bubble tea for once.

* had a nice dinner with grandma and mom tonight. Time with them always makes me happy. We got Panera bread and also went to Anthropologie. I wish I had unlimited funds to spend there :/... all I was able to pick up was a brass pineapple clip. I think it will make clipping my bills together all the more pleasant. 

* currently watching “the client list” which has become a huge guilty pleasure for me (lottie by my side). Dave is not here right now, so I am able to watch the shows that he really doesn’t care about. I wish I had Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, but alas, I do not.
