Hey, guys! I know it’s been a minute since I’ve posted, but as I said before, I was hard at work trying to get my original story ready to publish online. I have finally posted the first chapter!
You can read it at the link below:
https://www.wattpad.com/story/127037807-thaw
Because this is my fanfiction blog, I don’t plan on promoting my original story on here too much. I know not all of you are on Wattpad, though. You don’t have to have an account on Wattpad to read my story. If you do have a Wattpad account, please feel free to follow me @elmarren if you want to keep up with my original stories. I have more in mind in the future after I complete Thaw.
I do plan on completing Take Care once I finish writing Thaw. I know that I keep putting it off, but I promise that it will get finished at some point. :)
Stay awesome, guys! ♥

PART TWO OF THE “RE” SERIES RATING: MA FANDOM(S): Teen Wolf PAIRING(S): Derek Hale/OC SUMMARY: With Derek and Sophie finally back to a good place again after everything that's happened to them, they spend two weeks gearing up for the full moon. While Derek and Scott have meticulously forged a plan for the night, what they didn't factor in was Derek having to remove himself from the equation. In the time that Scott is alone with Sophie, he quickly learns the hard way that nothing comes between a she-wolf and her mate.
A/N: We’ve reached the end of this series. I know I had hoped to have this posted before the new year, but that obviously didn’t happen. I know you guys probably will skip this note, but I wanted to thank you guys for all of the support! It’s been so encouraging, and it makes me want to write more. :)
This part is back to what the first part brought to the table. Unlike Recover, this one has smut and a little bit of suspense. It also brings back the Alpha Derek we saw in Restraint. You guys seemed to like him a lot. I may or may not write more of him in the future. >:)
I’m not sure what’s next as of yet since I want to work on my original story for a bit. If you’re interested, I will tease some of that when it’s ready. I have plenty of ideas for stories, and I will definitely be delving back into the Teen Wolf world again. Keep your eyes peeled.
I apologize for any errors in this. I didn’t read this over as many times I like because my head if fuzzy from sinus medication, but I wanted to get this posted for you guys, anyway.
Again, thank you for all the continued support! Enjoy and much love to you all. ♥

The darkness had come a few hours before, bathing everything in the brightness of the full moon. The wind blew around the dead leaves as they broke away from trees, further signaling the approaching fall season. The town seemed eerily quiet with very few people out and about that night, as if the ominous feel lingering in the air was enough to urge people to stay inside the comforts of their own homes.
Sophie could feel herself reacting more to the moon the higher it became, the effects foreign to her as a newly turned werewolf. She had been antsy all day long, fidgeting more and more as the hours had passed by. The sun beginning to make its descent was when she really began to feel the pull of the moon, as if it were calling out to her.
Derek had stayed with her throughout the day, going over everything he and Scott had shown her within the last two weeks and what to expect. Because the full moon had only been two weeks away when she had been turned, Derek knew he would have to get help in training Sophie as their time dwindled each day. It wasn’t a lack of confidence in his abilities as an Alpha anymore since he had gained a renewed sense of direction since then, but Sophie had better chances of controlling the beast if he had help training her how in such a short time.
The two also needed a buffer between them, the pull becoming stronger the longer they went without completing the mate bond that Derek had initiated upon marking Sophie. She could see Derek struggling at times to hold back his wolf, trying to keep control so the animal inside him didn't take matters into his own hands. Being an Alpha and mate to his most recent Beta was proving to be a difficult task.
Sophie had also felt her wolf doing the same by trying different ways to urge her Alpha to give in. They had come close a time or two when getting caught up in each other, but something would shock Derek back into reality, and he would push the beast beneath the surface somehow. Derek had assured her that when she was more in tune with what she had become, he would gladly stop fighting his wolf.
That day had proven especially hard for them, even with Scott hanging around to make sure everything was going according to plan. Even the True Alpha’s wolf could sense the growing sexual tension between the two. Scott somehow knew that the full moon would only make things worse for them when their wolves were at the forefront.
The three had holed up in the empty basement of the building that Derek lived in and owned. Derek had chosen the spot because it was isolated from most of the town. He had rigged it so there were several obstacles to keep Sophie inside the building if she were to break free, having learned from experience that chains wouldn’t be enough.
Derek had spent a few days setting up the restraints in the basement to hold Sophie in during her transformation. He had shown her his handiwork and explained what would happen two days before, giving her plenty of time to take everything in and ask any questions she may have.
By the time the sun had fully set an hour before, Sophie could feel the effects in full swing. Her emotions were definitely on edge, and she snapped at anyone who looked at her the wrong way. Derek took her harsh words in stride as he began to chain Sophie, knowing he deserved every last one of them. A part of him hated having to chain her, but his rational side won out in the end. No new werewolf had ever escaped the shift on his or her first full moon; it was inevitable for however long it took to learn control.
Sophie watched her mate intently as he secured each of the chains around her wrists and ankles. Each time Derek added one, Sophie could feel the electricity sparking from their skin touching, and knew he could feel it as well. If he let his hands linger for too long, it would cause more than just goosebumps on her skin. His scent seemed to be stronger than usual, and she gladly inhaled its delicious smell.
She ran her tongue over her aching gums and teeth, raking her eyes up and down the man standing in front of her. His usual Henley and tight jeans did nothing to stop her roaming eyes as the clothing clung to every muscle he possessed. Not only were his gorgeous looks and scent making her want him, but it didn’t help knowing just how powerful he was as an Alpha. Sophie had wanted so badly to feel that powerful body of his claim her since that night that she revealed he had marked her. She could feel the excitement run through her veins just thinking about it.
Sophie tested the chains to see just how strong they were, but they didn’t stop her from gripping Derek’s shirt sleeve before he moved away from her. Before he could stop her, she had planted a fiery kiss on his lips, wrapping herself around him. She soon heard a growl vibrate inside her Alpha’s chest as he began to lose himself in the kiss, gripping her thighs in his hands.
A few seconds later, Derek was torn from her grip as Sophie landed on the soft dirt beneath her feet. She growled in protest when she looked up to see Scott dragging her mate away from her.
“Derek,” Sophie whined, watching as the cloud in his mind vanished upon realizing what had happened.
He frowned as Scott held him back, his wolf wanting to return to his mate. “Sophie, I’m sorry.”
Sophie didn’t reply, trying to yank the chains from the walls. Her eyes turned yellow and her fangs and claws were soon in full view. She still managed to keep from fully shifting, but it was only a matter of time before the wolf took complete control.
“I thought you could control yourself during the full moon?” Scott asked, studying the younger Hale visibly struggling.
“I can,” Derek ground out through gritted teeth as he began to walk toward the opposite side of the room once Scott released him.
Derek’s eyes were shifting from green to red and back again in quick succession. His face was contorted as he fought his wolf to keep control.
“What’s the problem, then?” Scott asked with furrowed brows. “I’ve never seen you lose it before.”
“It’s the mate bond,” Derek concluded. “The full moon is driving us to complete it.”
“What are you going to do?” Scott asked, concern evident in his voice.
“I need to leave; we’re too close,” Derek replied. “If I stay in here, it’s not going to be pretty.”
“I’ll stay with her,” Scott offered.
Derek thought a minute, feeling his wolf tearing at his skin. “Okay. I don’t like it, but we don’t have much of a choice.”
“Don’t worry, Derek, she’ll be fine,” Scott assured his fellow Alpha.
Derek nodded, looking back at Sophie with sad eyes. He could tell she was close to losing control already, and he was only making it worse for her. He wanted nothing more than to kiss her once more, but he couldn’t risk it. After a few moments of gazing at her longingly, he ran out of the room before he or his wolf could change his mind.
Scott watched him with a frown as he listened to Derek quickly bolting the door to the room. The steel door was only one of three. He hadn’t heard the others being locked, but he could have missed them. He ran his hands through his hair after pacing and thinking of a plan in case Sophie did manage to get free. The next thing he knew, Sophie had jumped on his back. She wrapped her legs around his neck.
“Sophie, what are you d-doing?” Scott spluttered, trying to dislodge the Beta from him without hurting her.
“Let me go,” Sophie urged in her wolf’s voice, pulling the chains as taught as they would go.
Scott shook his body, trying to throw her off to no avail. “You know I can’t do that, Soph,” Scott replied.
Sophie released a growl that shook the room, sinking her teeth into Scott’s neck. She didn’t dig them in too deep before Scott finally managed to remove Sophie, sending her flying across the room. He stood as far from her as possible so he was out of her reach, noting she was fully transformed into her wolf.
He felt the side of his neck where she had bitten him, already feeling the skin melding itself back together. He had to admit that Sophie was strong, but she couldn’t overpower him. The only way she was getting out of that room was if she outsmarted him.
“Where’s Derek?” Sophie shouted, pulling on the chains as hard as she could. “I need Derek.”
“He left, remember?” Scott reminded her. He leaned against the concrete wall, watching her like a hawk.
“Bring him back,” she argued, a slight whine mixed in with her deep voice.
“I can’t,” Scott said with a frown. “I don’t know where he went.”
“I can still smell him,” she pointed out.
“He does live here,” Scott tried to reason.
“Scott, help me,” Sophie whined, gripping her stomach and leaning forward with a grimace on her face. “It hurts.”
“Sophie, what is it?” Scott asked, rushing over to her side to help.
Sophie leaned against Scott for support, feeling his hand rubbing her back. Sophie was up to her full height in a second, gripping Scott’s head between her hands before quickly snapping his neck like a twig. When his body fell limply to the ground, Sophie began to work on freeing herself.
It had taken her a few minutes, but she had managed to break the chains around her limbs. It had taken less time to get through the bolted door sealing the room, finding the other two wide open. Sophie quickly found herself running up the sets of stairs until she reached the elevator and climbed in.
As the metal box inched itself upward toward Derek’s loft, Sophie held onto the metal bar against the back wall. She was trying to contain herself after having managed to push her wolf down for the time being, although she had a feeling it hadn’t gone too far. The fresh scent of Derek was stronger in the small elevator, almost overwhelming her. Her mouth had begun watering after the first few floors. She didn’t know what she was doing; all she knew was that her instinct was telling her to follow Derek’s potent scent.
As soon as the elevator reached the top floor, she quickly made her way out of it and threw open the door to the loft. Sophie began to search, but before she could get too far, an intense urge struck her. Her insides began to churn, and she felt an all too familiar pull blooming inside her abdomen. Confusion etched on her features before she glanced out through the window, noticing that the moon had reached its apex.
Sophie soon heard a familiar growl that filled the large room. She looked around the room almost frantically as the ache between her legs began to intensify, knowing the growl belonged to Derek. She stalked around slowly, her senses on overdrive. It wasn’t long before she felt a burning, looming presence behind her. She felt her own body growing hot, and the heat from behind her wasn’t helping.
She already knew who stood behind her, the overwhelmingly intoxicating scent invading her nostrils. A groan sounded from within her, followed by one that seemed twice as deep. She backed herself up against the hard body of the man eyeing her like his prey, molding herself to him like a magnet. She could feel his penetrating gaze on her skin, and she shuddered when she felt his breath on her neck.
"Do you know how badly I want to rip your clothes off and make you mine?" His voice was dripping sex as he spoke into her ear, his hands gripping her hips against him possessively.
Sophie released a moan at his words and his growing excitement against her butt, her hands behind her tightly gripping the shirt against his chest. Thoughts of them ran through her mind as Derek ran his fingertips up her clothed sides, making her even more aroused and less in control. She could feel her wolf waiting just underneath the surface, poised and ready to pounce. The more she gave into her instincts, the harder it became to ignore the pull between them that seemed more resilient than ever. Sophie could tell that there was no way she or Derek could fight it off any longer.
"Derek," she finally managed to rasp out in a pleading voice. There were so many new scents wafting into her nose that belonged to both of them, driving her just about as crazy as his touch was.
He released a groan at his name falling desperately from her lips. "Just say the words, Soph."
She felt her breathing speed up as her control began to slowly unravel. She was somehow able to push down her wolf with what little control she had left.
"Please," Sophie began, surprised she could still speak at all. "Make me yours."
His lips were on hers as soon as she finished speaking the words, turning her toward him in the blink of an eye and pinning her against the nearest column. Their hands were all over each other, leaving no area untouched. Derek soon deepened the kiss, angling his hips so they were flush against her own.
Sophie moaned into Derek's mouth as she felt him push her further into the column, eliminating what little space there was between them. It wasn't long before Derek began kissing a hot, wet trail down to her neck as she eagerly bared it to him. Her fingers tangled themselves into his raven locks, fisting and tugging on them when he began to grind against her. Even with her mind clouded with lust, she couldn't help but ask the lingering question.
"What's going to happen, Derek?" She asked as a moan tore from her mouth when she felt Derek begin to bite gently on her skin with his blunt teeth.
"What do you think?" Derek replied back, thrusting his hips gently into her own for emphasis.
A shudder ran through her, but she did her best to keep her wits about her. She gripped his hair gently, but firmly enough to pull his face away from her neck so she could look at him before releasing his head. "What does the mating process entail? You’ve never told me that part."
Sophie couldn't help but notice that Derek's eyes were nearly all black as his pupils dominated his irises. His chest was heaving as he eyed her hungrily, his lips swollen from their activities, and his hair no longer perfectly styled. Her center clenched at the sight.
As he caught his breath, Derek held out his hand for her before she took hold of it. He could sense her apprehension about what was coming next, and he knew it was only natural. Derek led her over to his bed a few feet away, sitting down on the foot of it before pulling her down beside him.
"I don't know exactly what it entails myself. I was always told that when the time came, I would need to trust my instincts and let things happen—that I would know what to do," he explained, intertwining her fingers with his.
Sophie swallowed as she stared into his eyes. "Will your being an Alpha make things...different?"
"I don't know, Soph," Derek replied honestly. "I wish I knew more so we weren't completely shooting in the dark here."
"Deaton said he had some information about werewolf markings," she paused as her eyes looked off into the living room, the wheels turning in her head. "Maybe he knows about the mat—"
Sophie's thought was cut off as Derek's mouth was on hers once again, extinguishing her thoughts as the fire roared within her once again. She returned his open-mouthed kisses as he pulled her onto his lap so she straddled him.
"Do you trust me?" Derek asked simply as he broke away from her and met her gaze, his lips a hairs breadth away from hers.
Sophie nodded in affirmation, her eyes locked onto his. "Of course."
"I don't think I can wait to find out more, especially when it’s probably a long shot," Derek said, his voice raspy once again. "I don't think my wolf would allow it, either."
Sophie caught his meaning when he pulled her down over top of his hardened length. She released a sound that was a cross between a growl and a moan, feeling her panties dampen even more. Instinctively, Sophie began to grind against his excitement, the urge too strong with her core sitting directly on top of his massive erection.
"Mmm, is my Alpha a little excited?" Sophie asked with a smirk, her hand grabbing hold of him through his jeans and squeezing.
Derek groaned loudly at her actions. "He's very excited."
"Good," she replied as she kissed him again, her confidence rising within her.
Her hands slid up over his chest as Derek returned her kiss, letting her hands run over each peak and valley of pure muscle before bringing them back down again. She soon felt the button of his jeans underneath her hand and began to undo them. Just before she was able to snake her hand into the fabric, her back was against the mattress and her hands pinned beside her head.
Derek's lips never left hers as he began to grind against her more fervently. He soon began kissing down her neck once again, licking and nipping as he went. She instinctively bared her neck to him as he continued.
"Derek, please," Sophie pleaded with him, her senses on overload.
Her eyes rolled into the back of her head as soon as his tongue ran over the mark he had left on her skin, her hips bucking up against his. Her vision blurred as he nipped the area, more wetness pooling between her legs. She was a writhing mess as he continued his assault, but when she felt his blunt teeth gently bite down on the mark, she lost it.
In a second, her fangs tore through her gums and her claws sprouted out from her fingers. Arousal like she had never felt before slammed into her, her wolf taking full advantage. A loud thud followed by a defensive growl sounded as she looked up to find Derek across the room. A growl roared from her then, filling the space of the loft, as her wolf took over.
Derek shook off his surprise at being thrown across the room, red immediately filling his eyes as he stood up from the floor with little effort. Sophie couldn't help but notice his shirt was torn in several places and barely hanging onto his torso. She let her eyes trail down to his undone jeans, his black boxer briefs clinging to his massive erection like a second skin. A rumble sounded from within her as she sat in a squat on his bed.
A bit of red coated Derek's chest in what looked to be claw marks lining his skin that were already healing. He quickly discarded the ruined material as he stalked slowly back over toward her. Just as he reached the foot of the bed, he growled at her to assert his dominance.
Sophie could feel the power radiating from him as he tried to get her to submit, and he hadn’t even put all his power behind it, but her wolf wasn't quite ready to relinquish control just yet. She soon saw Derek snap his head around in different directions before his fangs descended and his claws emerged from his fingers.
He continued to stand in front of her, but Derek noticed the challenging stare still lingering in her eyes. Derek tried to ignore the smell of her arousal heavy in the air, his wolf wanting to take over fully to show his Beta and mate exactly who was in charge. He was glad he was so good at controlling himself because he didn’t know what would happen if he let his wolf take over in that moment.
As soon as Derek took another step closer to the bed, Sophie sprang from her position to try to evade her Alpha. She didn't make it but a few steps before Derek grabbed hold of her and had her pinned to the floor with his massive frame so she couldn't move.
“I knew you liked being the dominate Alpha you kept hiding inside,” Sophie said, her voice thick with seduction.
“Shift,” Derek ground out, wanting nothing to do with Sophie’s disobedient wolf at that moment.
“Now, why would you want that? We both know you like it rough.” Sophie lifted her head up and began kissing along Derek’s neck.
"Shift!" Derek yelled out in his wolf's voice as he grabbed hold of her neck and forced it back down to the floor, clearly losing his patience with the young wolf beneath him.
Sophie immediately felt her wolf let go of the hold that she had on her, as if her wolf had run into a corner to hide with her tail between her legs. Her features receded into her body almost immediately as she caught her breath, her eyes meeting Derek's. She noticed as his eyes faded from red to black with a hint of green surrounding the pupils, arousal still lingering in them.
"I'm sorry," Sophie commented finally.
"Don't be," Derek soothed as he caressed her cheek softly. “It's common for a Beta to have to be reminded who's in charge in the beginning."
"I tried to fight her, but she was too strong," Sophie explained, relief washing over her as Derek kept stroking her cheek.
"We'll definitely work on that some more," Derek said, trying to calm her down. "Now, where were we?"
"What if I lose control again?" Sophie asked, running her fingers over the bloody lines from the already healed marks that she put on his chest. "I've never felt anything like that."
Derek smirked a little, knowing exactly what she meant before becoming serious again. "Don't be afraid, Soph. Remember that whenever you lose control, I'll be right there to bring you back."
She took in his words and nodded, her body fully calming from his touch finally. Derek kissed her softly before getting to his feet, helping her up off the floor. Sophie kept his hand in hers as she led him back to his bed.
She sat back down at the foot, looking up at him as her core clenched again from just the sight of him before her. She couldn't help but rake her eyes down his bare chest, following the line of raven hair that disappeared into his boxer briefs, her eyes settling on the bulge covered by thin material that seemed to taunt her through the opening of his jeans.
"See something you like?" Derek asked with a hint of seduction and a slight smirk, watching her intently.
Sophie met his gaze again as the words rang with familiarity, her mind immediately jumping to the memory of that night when he had first uttered them. She swallowed down the dryness in her throat, trying to regain the confidence she had briefly had before she had lost control. Sophie blew out a breath before purposefully running her tongue over her lips.
She leaned forward, her tongue snaking out of her mouth to lick down the trail of hair on his skin until she reached the waistband of his boxer briefs, finding his skin burning hot. Derek groaned loudly at her actions, watching her descent as he threaded his fingers into her locks. Her hands on his hips followed the same path as her tongue, grabbing the belt loops of his jeans and tugging on them until they dropped to the floor.
Sophie kissed the skin just above the black material before slipping her tongue down underneath the band. Gripping the band with the tips of her fingers, she began to kiss down toward his hard length over the stretched fabric. Her eyes remained fixed to Derek's as she continued her slow descent.
She soon reached her target, tracing the outline of the hard appendage with her tongue. Derek was biting his lip so hard that he was almost drawing blood, his fingers gripping the back of her skull firmly but gently. When she flicked her tongue over the covered tip, the same deep moan left each of their lips in sync.
Sophie couldn't help but pull down the confining fabric as if she were unwrapping a chocolate bar that she was about to devour, letting Derek's erection spring free in front of her. She made quick work of his underwear, swiftly yanking it down to Derek's feet. He quickly kicked both his jeans and boxer briefs to the side.
She smirked as she held his gaze before grabbing hold of his impressive length in her hand. She gave him a few soft strokes before eyeing the fluid beginning to dribble out of the tip. She slowly ran her tongue over him, tasting his essence. Sophie could feel the growl and shudder that she had caused, her lips curling into a small smirk.
Just before Sophie could take him fully into her mouth, her chin was angled so she was looking directly up at Derek. His mouth was on hers again as he knelt down to her level between her legs. His hands ran up under her top as he let them slide up her sides, taking her top with them. He broke the kiss long enough to pull the shirt over her head, reconnecting their mouths moments later. He quickly unclasped and removed her bra, wanting her just as naked.
Sophie returned his kisses and gasped into his mouth when she felt the flick of his fingers against her hardened peaks. It wasn't long before Derek had latched onto one, making sure to show the other the same attention while undoing her jeans with his free hand. Her fingers went into his black locks as her head fell backwards at the immense pleasure he was creating inside her.
As Derek began to pull her jeans down her legs, his mouth found hers again as she lifted her hips to allow him to pull off the jeans. She kicked off her shoes and socks just before Derek yanked her jeans the rest of the way. Derek soon removed his mouth from hers, eyeing her intently as he crawled over her on the bed.
Sophie kissed him passionately as she scooted up on the bed and spread her legs to accommodate Derek's form, Derek moving with her. He kissed a hot, wet trail down her neck between her breasts, his fingers massaging her through the soaked material of her panties.
Sophie shuddered and arched her back at Derek's ministrations, the need for him nearly overwhelming her. She hadn’t even realized her eyes had changed to their yellow color or her fangs and claws had broken through her gums and skin.
"Shit." Derek shuddered as the potency of her pheromones became even stronger, letting him know she was ready for him.
He soon ripped her panties off her, kissing her stomach as his fingers kept massaging her clit. Sophie shuddered and gripped his hair even tighter in her fist, watching him as much as possible. Derek soon slid two fingers inside her, shuddering at just how wet and warm she felt around them.
"Derek," Sophie pleaded as she arched against his hand, her voice completely wrecked. The feeling of him inside her was driving her crazy, but it wasn't exactly what she needed.
As soon as Derek eyed her, he realized that she was close to losing it again. His own features began to shift at the sight of her and from feeling her clench around his fingers, but he tried to reign himself in as quickly as possible. He had to keep his wolf from taking advantage of his state of arousal. He didn’t want to lose control, even if it felt like every cell in his body was urging him to do so. His dick began to ache from the need that coursed through him and his canines were throbbing with the same need to completely claim her as his.
Sophie could tell with one look that both she and Derek were on the brink of becoming unhinged. She could see the struggle in him as he fought hard to keep his wolf from taking over, his eyes clenched shut and his body shaking more than it was before. She could somehow sense it was only a matter of seconds before hers did the same to her. When she felt her elongated teeth and sweat beginning to pour down over her overheated skin, it only further confirmed her suspicions.
When Derek suddenly halted all movement before tilting his to the side head a bit, her brows furrowed in confusion. “Derek?”
He stayed there in his current position over her stomach, eyes glazed over with a distant look. He soon lowered his ear against her stomach, still not saying a word.
“Derek?” Sophie asked once again after another moment had passed.
Derek lifted his head slowly, his eyes gazing down at her stomach before swallowing and finally meeting her questioning gaze.
“Do you hear that?” Derek asked finally.
“Hear what?” Sophie asked, straining her hearing to see if she could figure out what he was talking about.
“It’s a heartbeat,” Derek managed to say as the realization seemed to hit him. “One that doesn’t belong to you or me.”
Sophie tried to filter out their own quick, loud heartbeats and heavy breathing. It took her a minute, but she soon heard the very faint sound. When she saw Derek look almost lovingly at her stomach and run his large hand slowly over her skin, it suddenly hit her exactly what Derek meant without saying the words.
She blinked a few times, her words fully escaping her. It further hit home when she remembered her period was late, but she had just chalked that up to becoming a werewolf and thought nothing else of it. How stupid could she be?
Her eyes stared off at the ceiling as her fears from that night a month ago were coming true. The five times that she and Derek had engaged in unprotected sex were coming back to bite them. Deep down, Sophie had always known that they would and had doubted that the human drugs she was given would work.
She was pregnant with Derek’s child.
“Soph?” Derek asked hesitantly with guilt present in his voice.
She swallowed and met his gaze again, his deep voice soothing her. “Yeah?” She hadn’t meant to let her voice shake as badly as it did when she answered him.
“Everything is going to be okay,” Derek assured her, never letting his gaze waver from hers. “I am not going to leave either of you.”
Derek quickly grabbed her hold of her hand in his, intertwining their fingers and setting their hands on her stomach. “We’re going to have a baby.”
Sophie held back the tears in her eyes as she saw the smile creep up on his lips. She was surprised that Derek was happy at all about the discovery. Although he had never outright said it, Sophie had always suspected that he wouldn’t want to bring a child into the world with everything going on around them.
“We’re going to have a baby,” Sophie repeated, getting used to the words herself. Despite being scared out of her mind, Sophie couldn’t help but mirror Derek’s smile.
He was suddenly back on top of her so that no space was between them, his length at her entrance and face inches from hers. His red eyes met her yellow ones once again, and Sophie could see the fear coursing in them once again. “I’m never going to let anyone or anything hurt either of you. I promise you that.”
She nodded as he kissed her almost hungrily, the need to complete the bond rearing its head. He gripped her hand before moving them both to claw the bedsheets on either side of her. She could sense him beginning to try to fight the pull again after their discovery. She broke the kiss and noticed his grip on the sheets.
"It's okay, Derek." She brought her hand up to his bearded face to lovingly caress it. "I trust you completely."
She soon saw the fear disappear as he took in her words. Derek kissed her softly first before his kisses became more intense. Sophie couldn't help but meet his kisses, releasing a loud moan when he began to grind against her. Derek expertly snaked his tongue into her mouth then, dominating her tongue with his own.
Sophie was wrapped up in Derek's kisses when her vision blurred, her eyes squeezed shut, and she moaned and gasped into Derek's mouth at the same time. Everything seemed to freeze in that moment and suspend in time as she took in the overwhelming feeling. Derek was inside of her finally, filling her completely.
Sophie hadn't even noticed that Derek was moving until a few moments later when he had picked up his pace, and she heard loud growls filling the space of the loft. When she came out of her reverie, Sophie could already feel herself clenching around Derek's throbbing dick as if her life depended on it. She began to meet his thrusts as she wrapped her legs around his waist.
"Fuck," Derek groaned out through gritted teeth, his hands gripping her hips.
Sophie felt it when her wolf took over again, unable to stave off the shift any longer. Before she even knew it, they were on the floor, and she had rolled on top of her Alpha. She knew exactly when he had realized she had taken the lead, his bright red eyes boring into hers as she bounced up and down on him. Sophie threw her head back at the change in angles, his claws digging into her hips as he began to guide her.
"Does Alpha like it when I ride him?" Her voice was not her own, but that of her wolf's in its deep register, but it still somehow had a hint of seduction in it.
"Hell yes," Derek replied, his voice deeper but still his own.
Sophie soon wrapped her clawed hand around Derek's neck, her claws digging into his skin. "Who knew I could easily make my Alpha submit to me?"
A second later, Sophie heard a loud growl from beneath her and she found herself on the floor once again. She was shoved gently a few feet away from Derek across the floor, her breath knocked out of her, and all she could do was lay there panting. She watched as Derek stalked toward her on all fours as she lay there on her back, his eyes more feral than before. She knew his wolf had taken over when he quickly pulled her to him and crawled back on top of her. He pulled her legs so they were draped over his shoulders and plunged back into her without hesitation.
Derek held her still with his gaze alone as he began pounding into her, his canines on display. "I submit to no one. Don't ever forget who the Alpha is here, or I will not hesitate to show you."
Sophie's wolf let out a whimper, but the feeling of her mate dominating her was amazing. A growl released from her lips as he pushed her knees back further. She was already so close, but she tried to hold it off as long as possible.
"Derek, I can't...," Sophie began, pausing as she bit her lip. "I need to..."
Derek regained control once again at Sophie's voice, never slowing his pace. He began kissing her neck and down to her shoulder where he had first marked her, sucking and licking as well to help push her over the edge. He could feel his canines aching even more than ever to complete the bond.
"Come for me, baby," he said between kisses against her neck.
Sophie clenched tightly around Derek's length then at his words as if he had commanded it, and she felt that he had. She shuddered as she fell over the edge, her claws running down Derek's expansive back. Derek's thrusts began to become more desperate and rough as he searched for his own release. He could already feel it building more quickly the longer he kept his up his thrusts.
Sophie did her best to meet her mate's movements, even though she felt the exhaustion wanting to seep into her bones. She had a feeling they weren't quite done yet as she felt her arousal sparking back up with each nip and lick to her marked shoulder. Derek moved her legs off his shoulders to allow her body to lay in a more natural position, but he never slowed his movements a bit.
Derek met Sophie’s gaze as he barreled into her. She could tell by the look on his face and the throbbing of his length inside her that he was almost there. Her fangs were aching inside her mouth, and the urge to bite Derek was becoming overwhelming. After three more hard thrusts, Derek let out a roar as he soared over the edge before sinking his teeth into the mark on Sophie’s shoulder.
Sophie let out a growl that nearly matched her mate’s as he marked her again. Sophie felt another wave of pleasure tear through her then. Her mouth latched onto Derek’s shoulder as she sank her teeth into his skin. They both dug their claws into the other’s skin as aftershocks ripped through them both. Sophie felt her walls clench around him, as if they refused to let him go.
A few minutes later, Derek withdrew his teeth from her shoulder as his wolf finally relinquished control, his tongue licking over the wound. He soon felt Sophie doing the same to the mark she had put on his shoulder, a shudder running through him. He felt the soreness and exhaustion creeping up on him, but he was too content and sated to let it get to him just yet.
When their eyes met, their features were back to their human ones. Derek was finally able to move and slide out of her, laying beside her and pulling her against him. They never moved their gazes, continuing to stare into each other’s eyes as they caught their breaths. Derek couldn’t help the smirk that formed on his lips.
“What?” Sophie asked with a raised brow.
“So, you think it’s hot when I’m being the Alpha, huh?” Derek asked with a knowing smirk.
Sophie knew that her face would have turned beet red if she wasn’t already flushed from their activities. “How did you…?”
Derek chuckled a little before brushing a few fallen strands of hair out of her face. “I can read your thoughts. They’re particularly loud right now.”
“Wait, what?” Sophie asked. “Does that mean that I can read yours, too?”
“I don’t know,” Derek replied, his face becoming serious as he thought of something. “Can you?”
Sophie’s mouth dropped before she smacked Derek’s arm, but she couldn’t help the smile behind it. “We are not doing this the next full moon in the woods.”
“We’ll see,” Derek smirked as he pulled her closer.
She shook her head. “Men. They are all the same.”
“Hey,” Derek protested with a slight pout.
“It’s true, and you know it.” Sophie eyed him.
“Fine,” Derek admitted finally. “But, you know what?”
“What?” She asked just before he placed a kiss on her lips that she happily returned, rubbing her stomach lovingly.
Sophie couldn’t help the smile that broke out on her face then. “We love you, too.”
Derek matched her smile then, his perfectly straight, white teeth on display, reaching up to his eyes. She couldn’t remember a time recently that she had seen him smile that much.
“Do you know one good thing about being a werewolf?” Derek asked as he threaded his fingers through hers.
“What’s that?” Sophie asked.
“Stamina,” he replied.
He pulled her on top of him then, pulling her in for a more mind-blowing kiss. She groaned into his mouth as she felt his already rock-hard length beneath her. She ground herself against him and pushed herself up on her hands leaning on his chest.
“Soph?” Derek asked through gritted teeth.
“Yeah?” She responded, biting her bottom lip as she continued her movements.
“Not to kill the mood because I definitely want to continue, but what did you do to Scott, by the way?” Derek asked with a raised brow. “I know you had to incapacitate him to get out of that room.”
Sophie froze instantly, suddenly remembering what she had done to get out of the basement. She met Derek’s gaze, looking innocent and forgetting already that he could read her thoughts. “Um, I’m sure he’s fine.”
Derek sighed and shook his head as he stood up with her, setting her down on the floor onto her feet. “I don’t even want to know how you were able to break his neck, but I do know he is not going to be happy with you.”
“I didn’t want to do it,” Sophie tried to defend herself. “He wouldn’t let me go.”
Derek rolled his eyes as he grabbed his phone. “That’s kind of the point.”
“He heals,” Sophie pointed out with a pout as she watched Derek dial up their friend. “Are you always going to be able to read my thoughts?”
Derek eyed her as he waited for Scott to answer. “Probably not always, but it just means you won’t be able to get a way with a lot from now on.” She couldn’t help but want to smack him for the smug glint in his eyes, knowing he had that much more power over her. He better be glad I love him, she thought, not caring if he read the thought or not.
Sophie found herself releasing the breath she didn’t know she was holding when Derek began talking to the younger Alpha a few moments later. She listened in on their conversation for a few minutes with apprehension.
“I’m sorry, Scott! I’ll make it up to you, somehow,” she called out before making her way to sit on the bed. She stopped listening in on the conversation a few minutes before it ended.
Derek hung up the phone and tossed it onto his nightstand before making his way over to the bed where Sophie sat.
“What did he say?” She asked curiously.
“He said that he kind of understands why you did it, but he will definitely find a way for you to make it up to him,” Derek explained.
Sophie cringed a bit at the thought before another one popped into her mind, her gaze landing on her mate with a pleading look.
“Oh no, I am not getting you out of that,” Derek responded.
“Hey, but I’m pregnant, though,” Sophie pointed out. “You wouldn’t let Scott lay a hand on me.”
“True, but that doesn’t mean he can’t take out his payback some other way. I’m sure you’re still not getting out of making it up to him.” He rolled on top of her again. He kissed her heatedly and pinned her hands above her head. “You won’t be getting out of this, either.”
“I’m okay with that,” Sophie conceded with a smile before returning his kisses.

Happy Early 2018!
I just wanted to make a short update and wish you guys a happy new year! I hope 2018 is a great year for all of you guys!
While I’m posting, I did want to let you guys know that I am still working on finishing Release (Part 3 of The “Re” Series). I completely miscalculated how far along I was on the story after I split part two and three up. I do apologize if I got anyone’s hopes up.
I also haven’t written a lot recently because I’ve been fighting off a cold, and I went to my mom’s for Christmas last weekend. I didn’t get back home until Tuesday afternoon. I didn’t write at all while I was there. I’m hoping to finish Release soon since I’m off on Monday. I’m going to do my best to focus on finishing it, but I’m not making any promises.
Thank you guys again for all the love! ♥

PART TWO OF THE “RE” SERIES RATING: T FANDOM(S): Teen Wolf PAIRING(S): Derek Hale/OC SUMMARY: With Derek shutting everyone out except Scott, Sophie gives Derek the space he wants while they both recover from what’s happened and while she deals with the aftermath. After nearly two weeks, Sophie takes matters into her own hands to talk things over with Derek.
A/N: Hello, everyone! First of all, thank you guys so much for the love on Restraint! It really brightens my day and makes me want to write all the stories in the world for you guys. ♥ I have returned with the next part in what I’ve dubbed The “Re” Series. I know it’s unoriginal, but I wanted each part to have its own name, and I didn’t feel like the series needed its own unique name. That may change if I find something that fits later.
Yes, you read that right. This is a now a series with not just two parts, but three. :) I failed miserably at finishing the original second part without making it longer than the first one, so I decided to break the story into three parts. This makes the second part a bit shorter, but I hope the length won’t deter you from reading the story.
Recover is not quite as intense as the first and final parts, but it’s still just as important. There is no smut in this part, but there are definitely repercussions from Derek and Sophie’s night together. Things are about to get real.
I’m still working on the final part, which is titled Release. I’m hoping to have it done and posted before January at the latest. No promises, but it’s about 75 to 80% done, so hopefully I can get it done before then.
What do you guys think will happen next? Hmm. I’d love to hear your thoughts and what you think!
If you have not read the first part of this series, things will definitely be confusing. I do mention some things that happened in the first part slightly, but not enough to give you the full effect of it. I highly recommend that you read Restraint before reading Recover.

The sun shown in through the window, the rays giving the room an orange glow. She felt the warmth on her skin, but she could already tell it didn’t feel the same. Sophie sat there on the window seat in the bedroom in her apartment, her elbows resting on her knees. As she continued to stare outside at nothing, she couldn’t help but study the things she normally saw from her window through new eyes.
It had been almost two weeks since her night with Derek, and the memories still played inside her mind as if they had happened the previous day. Sophie had yet to speak to Derek, but it wasn’t for lack of trying on her part. Derek had refused to see anyone since then. He was still in full self-loathing mode and had spoken only to Scott through the door of his loft for brief periods at a time.
Deaton had figured out the creature that had bitten Derek was some type of succubus. It was assumed that it had been passing through town when it came upon Sophie out alone that night, no further signs of the creature having popped up since then. Derek had showed up just in time to keep Sophie out of a harm’s way. The succubus had been unable to overpower Derek, so it had bitten him as a last-ditch effort to get away. Deaton explained that the toxins in the venom sent Derek into a frenzied sex-crazed state that would have eventually caused his vitals to soar high enough to kill him.
Deaton had been able to counteract the venom in Derek’s system by creating an antidote. Deaton was unsure that it would work since he had little knowledge on the species, but the antidote had worked as intended. Derek was back to his usual self within the next day or two with no lingering effects, but was wracked with guilt. He remembered everything that had happened that night, every minute detail.
Sophie thought back to that next day when she had woken up in the McCall household instead of the hospital, Melissa and Scott by her side.
"Because of the state you were in upon your arrival, they ran all of the tests for a sexual assault," Melissa began.
"What?" Sophie retorted, anger coursing through her veins. "Derek would never do that!"
"We know he wouldn't, but we couldn't tell them the truth, sweetie," Melissa soothed, pulling her into a hug. "We never even mentioned that Derek was involved."
As soon as Melissa released her, she was defending Derek once again. "Derek may not have been himself, but whatever we did, it wasn't against my will," Sophie continued to further drive the point home.
"We know, Soph," Scott reassured her.
"What did they give me?" Sophie asked after a few moments, not wanting to ask the exact question running through her mind.
"They gave you some Levonorgestrel since it was obvious no protection was used." Melissa met Sophie's eyes knowingly.
Sophie eyed Scott then briefly before looking down at the the bed. "Well, there were some condoms in the bag, but it's not like we had the chance to use any of them."
Scott shook his head briefly, muttering Stiles' name under his breath before turning their discussion in a different direction. "We talked with Sheriff Stilinski about everything."
"I explained what happened to the Sheriff," Melissa continued. "The hospital wanted to file a report, but since you didn't know who your attacker was and were unable to discuss it, there wasn't much they could do. Noah took care of it." Melissa squeezed her hand in a comforting gesture.
"So, why am I here instead of the hospital?" Sophie asked, trying to calm herself down.
The two McCall's shared a quick glance before returning their gazes back toward her. She could sense that something wasn't right.
"After a few hours at the hospital, I came in to check on you. Your only injury was the scar on your shoulder. All the cuts and bruises you had when you were brought in were gone, so I discharged you myself and had Scott bring you here." Melissa glanced at her son once again before giving Sophie a somber look.
"We didn't want you to be alone," Scott added, sharing the same look as his mother.
Sophie didn't know how, but she knew that something was going on that they weren't telling her. She went over what Melissa had just told her twice in her mind before it dawned on her that there was only one explanation for her skin having no cuts or bruises after a certain amount of time had passed.
Sophie hadn’t wanted to believe it and tore out of the bed, running to the nearest mirror to see for herself. Her reflection had only confirmed what Melissa and Scott weren’t saying. Sophie quickly saw the evidence staring right back at her, her eyes a golden yellow and teeth protruding from her lips.
"Oh, no," Sophie muttered, trying to keep her composure as the realization hit her that she was a werewolf.
She could feel her emotions wanting to take over as tears began slip down her cheeks, already noticing everything was heightened. Sophie wasn't sure how she hadn't noticed it before then, chalking it up to still being out of it after the events of the previous night.
"Sophie, it's going to okay. You are not alone with this," Scott emphasized as he brought her in for a hug. "You will never be alone."
Sophie let Scott hold her as he rubbed her back and went through the process of trying to coax her into calming down. It took a few minutes, but Sophie was finally able to push the beast back underneath the surface. After a few moments of taking a few deep breaths and pushing down her werewolf features, she then suddenly realized that Derek was her Alpha. She knew he would be beating himself up for what had happened.
"Derek," Sophie started, pulling away from Scott some. "I need to see Derek."
Scott was in front of the door, halting her exit before she could even move a few steps. "He won't see anyone right now and barely talks to me through the door of his loft."
Sophie shook her head. "I need to see him, Scott. I need to know that he's okay."
"He needs time, Sophie," Scott explained. "He's really torn up about the whole situation. He never wanted to hurt you."
Sophie sniffed as she hugged Scott once again, not knowing what else to do. She would give Derek time if he needed it. The man already had plenty of past demons that attributed to the way he was; he didn't need anything else to add to it.
As the days passed, the need to see Derek had intensified, and Sophie could barely keep herself from going to Derek's. When Derek had still refused to see her, Sophie had gone to Deaton when she finally had a moment alone to see if she could get some answers. She heard the words leave the veterinarian’s mouth that, deep down, she had already known.
“He marked you, Sophie,” Deaton had said after examining the scar on her shoulder. “His bite not only made you a werewolf and his Beta, but it also tied you to him. A regular bitemark would have healed once your transformation was completed.”
"What?" Sophie asked rhetorically. She knew the basics of what a mark from a werewolf meant from Derek's brief, reluctant explanation to her one day, but he hadn't explained it in great detail.
"I could explain what I know about werewolf markings, but I think it would mean more coming from your Alpha."
Sophie had left there with more questions swirling inside her mind than she had had when she arrived and only one person could answer them.
Her meeting with Deaton had happened two days ago. Sophie had allowed herself some time to let the discovery sink in that not only was Derek actually her Alpha, but he was also her potential mate. While Derek wouldn't be able to change the fact that she was his Beta, Sophie did know becoming mates was completely up to him since he had marked her. He could still reject her as his mate, if he so desired. That was the extent of her knowledge on the subject.
Sophie blew out a breath and turned her head away from the window, coming out of the fog that was her mind. She heard the approaching footsteps with her supernatural hearing, turning her head to find Scott walking into the room.
“Well?” Sophie asked, a little bit of hope present in her voice.
“He still needs more time, Soph. I’m sorry,” Scott replied. "I tried to convince him to just talk to you, even if it was through the door, but he's still not ready."
Sophie sighed in frustration, running her fingers through her hair. “The full moon is coming in a couple weeks. I know you’ve offered to train me, and what you’ve shown and taught me so far has helped, but you’re not my Alpha, Scott. It’s not your place to have to train me.”
“I know, but I’m still here, Soph. Derek had already convinced himself that he didn’t deserve to be an Alpha of a pack anymore, but he also hurt you, which he never wanted to do.”
“Does he know everything, including that he marked me?” Sophie asked, having avoided voicing the question since she had found out about the mark.
“I don’t know; he hasn’t mentioned it,” Scott responded as he sat down on the window seat by her feet. “He knows he turned you; I made sure he was aware of that. He's asked about you so many times, wanting to know how you were doing.”
“He could just ask me himself. I realize that he needs time, but this happened to me, too. I get that he’s upset, but I have to see him, Scott. It's already been almost two weeks. He’s my best friend and, now, so much more.” Sophie turned on the seat so her feet were on the floor.
Scott sighed after a few moments. “I was afraid you were going to say that.”
“I can’t just sit idly by as if nothing has happened. My whole life has changed overnight,” she argued before sighing. “I also don’t want to hurt anyone because I can't control myself.”
“If you need to go see him, I respect that and can’t stop you.” Scott turned his gaze toward her. “Just be careful.”
“I will,” she assured him as she stood up and began walking out of her bedroom. “He would never hurt me intentionally.”
“He’s down on himself and not thinking clearly right now,” Scott clarified. "Words can still hurt."
She nodded in understanding, not wanting to dwell on his words for too long in case she decided to change her mind.
“Do you even know what you’re going to do?” Scott asked curiously as he followed closely behind her.
“No, but I’m not some weak little human anymore,” Sophie pointed out.
“True, but Derek will know you’re there before you even get close, if you're not careful. He has an alarm on his loft, remember? Not to mention that he’s Derek and has been a werewolf his whole life,” Scott reasoned.
“I’ll figure something out,” Sophie said, grabbing her car keys off the kitchen counter.
“Do you remember what I told you about masking your scent?” He asked as he watched her.
“Yeah, I remember. I still don’t think I can do it yet, but it’s worth a try.”
Scott nodded in agreement. “Oh, and Soph?”
“Yeah?” She stopped and looked back at her friend.
“The view from the roof of Derek’s loft is nice this time of year,” he said with a wink.
Sophie crouched on the concrete roof, the wind whipping around her. She didn’t know how long she had been on that roof, but it had seemed like hours. She had moved around discretely along the perimeter of the building of Derek's loft, making her way toward the spiral staircase in the corner until she was just a few feet away from it.
She had never been particularly fond of heights, and the climb up the side of Derek’s building had nearly caused her to rethink the idea entirely, despite it only taking a couple of minutes. Sophie was trying to mask her scent like Scott advised, but she didn’t know if she was successful. Focusing her hearing on Derek had taken longer than planned with the sounds of the city surrounding her, but she was eventually able to sift through the other sounds to block them out.
She felt like a stalker just lingering up on the roof, and had almost left a couple of times. Each time she had moved to leave, Sophie felt the invisible pull keeping her there, urging her to give into it. She was never really one to back down from fear, but she knew that was what was keeping rooted to her spot. She was afraid Derek would kick her out the second she went inside.
Sophie took a few deep breaths to calm her raging thoughts and doubts. Derek was her best friend, and she had nothing to worry about. He had always been there for her, and she would do anything for him. Her mind began to drift to other thoughts that she had kept out purposefully before shoving them back into a locked box in the recesses of her mind.
Steeling herself and taking a deep breath, Sophie slowly walked over to the door that led down into Derek's loft. She listened carefully as she stood there in front of it before setting her hands on it. She tried the door, only to find it locked. She remembered the window on the side of the loft that had no bars surrounding it. It was probably locked as well, but at least maybe she could get through it easily enough.
As she made her way over the side of the building, Sophie cringed at the thought of having to climb back down. She tried keep her mind on Derek as she began to climb down the side of the building, willing herself to keep her eyes in front of her. If she thought about it, she could feel herself shaking as she scaled down toward the window.
When she reached the window, she peered inside it. It was almost impossible to see anything through it, so Sophie dug her claws into the brick exterior while trying to open it with her other hand. When it refused to budge an inch, Sophie began to get to frustrated.
During her failed attempts to pry the window open, she hadn't noticed her feet had been slipping until it was almost too late. She grabbed the small window sill with both hands, using her claws for extra grip. When she knew she wouldn't be able to hold herself up, Sophie managed to push off the wall with her feet enough to flip herself backwards through the window, the glass shattering around her.
She landed on her butt on the floor, groaning at the impact, but also from the glass sticking into her butt. As soon as Sophie looked up, she saw Derek running over to her with a worried expression on his features.
"What the hell, Soph?" Derek asked, kneeling down to check her over.
She had blood droplets running down her skin and glass shards sticking into different parts of her body. She tried to muster an innocent look, one she knew Derek wasn't buying.
"Surprise?" She stood up carefully with Derek's help, looking back toward the window she had crashed through none to gracefully.
"Try again," Derek advised, leading her over away from the glass shards littering the floor.
"The window wouldn't open, so it was either do some fancy acrobatics I didn't even know I was capable of or fall to my death," she explained.
She began to pick out the pieces of glass that she saw, wincing and hissing with each one extracted. Derek helped her get the pieces she couldn't reach until they were all gone, her skin healing almost instantly.
He grabbed a towel nearby and wiped the blood from his hands. He passed the towel to her when he was finished. "Are you trying to get yourself killed?"
"Your loft is like a damn fortress," Sophie commented with a shrug, taking the towel and wiping off the blood. “Plus, I knew you wouldn’t just open the front door.”
"My alarm went off the second you stepped foot on the roof, and I knew who you were a second after that from your scent. I was listening to you the whole time you were up there," Derek explained, pointing out what Scott had already warned her about. "What are you doing here, Sophie?"
Sophie swallowed before lowering her gaze, halfheartedly tossing the bloody towel across the room close to the laundry room. Her eyes widened briefly at just how far she was able to throw it before turning her attention back to Derek. She could already tell Derek wasn't happy about her just showing up after he had made it clear that he didn't want see her.
"I know you don't want me here, but I couldn't stay away any longer."
"Scott told you to come over here, didn't he?" Derek asked, crossing his arms over his broad chest.
"No, he told me that you didn't want to see anyone. But, you've been saying that for almost two weeks," Sophie pointed out.
Derek remained quiet as he looked away from her, taking in her words.
Sophie sighed, running her hand through her locks. "Look, Derek, I know you're feeling guilty after what happened, but it's me. Why won't you just talk to me?"
"I could have killed you," Derek said finally after a moment of silence. "But I also violated you in so many ways that night. I hate myself for ever doing that to you, and even more for taking your choices away."
"You couldn't control yourself, Derek," Sophie argued, moving over toward him. "Besides, you're the one who told me that it wouldn't do you any good to hate yourself."
Derek went quiet again, turning away from her.
Sophie made her way over to him, placing herself in front of his line of sight. "Derek, what happened does not make you even remotely like Kate or Jennifer."
He met her eyes at her words. "What I did makes me no better than them."
"Bullshit," Sophie retorted. "You are nothing like those manipulative bitches, do you hear me!?"
Derek moved away from her, going silent once again.
Sophie growled in frustration, feeling her wolf wanting to take over all of a sudden. "Talk to me, Derek," Sophie pleaded, but her voice made it sound like a command.
She clamped her hands over her mouth then, her voice a deep register that Sophie didn't recognize. She saw her claws out and shut her eyes, trying to force her wolf back down. She had yet to fully transform into her wolf, but the longer she went without proper training, the more she felt her wolf clawing at the surface to be released.
She cried out in fear when her attempts failed, feeling her wolf fighting her for control. "It's not working."
She immediately felt two strong arms wrap around her, pulling her backwards into a solid chest. Sophie breathed in the intoxicating scent that wafted into her nose from Derek, taking deep breaths. His arms felt like a safety net that had reached up and caught her from plunging further into the unknown.
"Calm down, Soph," Derek whispered soothingly into her ear. "I'm here."
Sophie shuddered at his voice in her ear and hot breath fanning her skin. A calm washed over her then from her Alpha’s touch. Her wolf must have felt the same things because, almost instantly, she was able to regain control.
When she thought about how close she and Derek were, Sophie bit her lip at the feeling it gave her. When she felt his fingers brush through her hair and his scruff against her neck, she couldn't help the shudder that ran down her spine or the bursts of electricity that sprouted out from the spots.
She forced herself to move away from him then, tearing herself from his strong grip reluctantly. The longer he held her, the less she would be able to have any sort of the reasoning that she needed. She didn't miss the brief look of hurt that flashed through his eyes at her reaction.
"I can't think straight when you're touching me," Sophie commented then before she could stop the words. "Your touch was amazing before, but now..." She let her words hang.
“Your senses are heightened,” Derek began to explain.
Sophie shook her head. “No, it’s not just that.” She noticed the quizzical look on his face at her words for a moment before taking a deep breath. "You don't know, do you?"
"Know what?" Derek asked hesitantly, furrowing his eyebrows. "What else did I do?"
Sophie sighed, swallowing to re-wet her dry throat. She hated seeing the look of regret cross his features. She moved closer to him, but left plenty of space between them. She pulled on the collar of her shirt to expose her shoulder and moved her hair out of the way, tilting her neck to the side to give him a perfect view of the mark he had placed on her skin.
Sophie knew that Derek needed no other explanation about the mark; she could tell from his expression that he knew exactly what it was and what it meant. She remained quiet, swallowing when he moved closer to her to inspect the mark. When he reached out tentatively to touch it, Sophie bit her lip.
When his fingertips brushed over the mark ever so lightly, Sophie couldn't retain the loud moan that left her lips as she felt a shock of electricity shoot straight through her. She didn't have to look at Derek's expression to know he smelled her arousal since she could smell it perfectly fine for herself.
"That's why I've wanted to be near you so badly," Derek said lowly to himself. What she didn't expect next was a pain to rip through her at the seven words Derek uttered after a moment. "I'm sorry I did this to you."
"Why?" Sophie asked, trying to the ignore the stabbing in her chest that felt as if a knife had gone through it. She did her best to hold back tears that threatened to spring from her eyes as she pulled back away from him.
"I never meant to hurt you, much less bite you. I know you didn't want any of this. You should probably go before I do something else to hurt you," Derek commented, his voice full of guilt.
Sophie took in a few deep breaths, trying to brush off his words. She didn’t like feeling weak, but she couldn’t lie to Derek. She also didn't want to leave him. “I’m scared, Derek. The full moon is in two weeks. All I know about what I’ve become is what little Scott’s told me and what I’ve figured out for myself.”
"I'm sure Scott would love to have you as his Beta,” Derek replied. “He's a much better Alpha than I've ever been.”
Sophie met his somber gaze briefly before he turned it to the floor. "No, you don't get to do that."
Derek looked at her with confusion etched on his features once again.
"I get that you hate what you did, but I'm your best friend, Derek. You didn't mean to do any of it—you were basically under some bitch's sex spell. You don't get to shut me out like you do the rest of the world. It could have easily been me that she bit," Sophie argued, noticing Derek's features hardening at her words.
His green eyes sent a glare her way at her words. “You wouldn’t be a werewolf or tied to me.”
“Maybe not, but the venom would have killed me a lot sooner than it would have killed you because I was human. Not to mention the fact that the succubitch wouldn’t have run off if you hadn’t showed up. She wouldn’t have just bitten me.”
Derek met her gaze again, his eyes softening a bit as the realization hit him. Sophie could tell he knew she was right.
"Scott's a great friend, but he's not my Alpha—you are, whether you think you're good enough to be or not. I also don’t have his mark on my skin," Sophie argued. "I need you, Derek."
"If you came over here thinking you were going to convince me to change my mind about being an Alpha, you're not as smart as I thought you were." Derek regretted how harsh his words were almost instantly after they left his mouth.
"Do you remember everything that happened that night?" She asked after a moment of silence had passed between them, pausing a moment. "Everything you said?" Scott had told her that Derek did remember it all, but she wanted to ask Derek for herself.
"Unfortunately, yes," Derek answered, turning his attention away from her once again. He hadn't been able to stop thinking about each and every little thing that he had done since he had woken up from the haze he had been in.
She took a deep breath, moving toward him again. "You said something just before you really lost yourself—you asked if I could feel it."
The wheels were turning in his head then as he stared off in the distance. Sophie knew he was replaying the memories of that night.
"At first, I thought you meant the obvious hard on you were sporting, but then I realized what you meant." She paused, never looking away from him. "I knew then because I could feel it, too. I've always felt something drawing me to you; I just never knew what it was. And then, a few minutes later after I blamed your actions on the venom, you said that it was only fueling what was already there."
Derek met her gaze then briefly before looking away again. "It still doesn't take away the fact that I violated you. I practically raped you."
Sophie moved so she was standing in front of him and pulled his face toward hers. "Derek, the way everything went down was shitty, but it wasn't your fault at all. If I could have things turn out differently, I would just so you wouldn't have all this extra guilt, but I can't."
He tried to turn his head away from her, but she was able to stop him, making him realize just how strong she was as a newly turned wolf.
"Look at me," Sophie pleaded as she tried her best to keep his eyes on her. "You didn't violate me, Derek. Not one bit."
"How do you figure that?" Derek asked, his green eyes still not meeting her own.
"I admit, at first, you scared me. It was like the darkest parts of you were on full display," she paused, recalling how menacing and sinister he had been. "But then, you changed that fear into desire by your actions and words. Do you know why?"
"Because I'm a werewolf and you fell victim to my charms?" Derek asked monotonously as if it were obvious.
"Well, maybe to some degree—you could charm the pants off any woman if you wanted to," Sophie responded, only to receive an eye roll from the man in front of her. "The reason is that desire was real, Derek."
"Yeah, I charmed the pants off you, as you so eloquently put it."
It was her turn to roll her eyes. "No, the desire was real because I wanted it to be real."
Derek's green eyes flitted back to hers then, but he remained silent.
She sighed and released his face, turning away from him for the moment. She knew her insecurities were rearing their ugly little heads, but she was done hiding. The scared girl that was afraid of expressing her true feelings had vanished as soon as she had come to terms with what she had become.
"I've wanted that to happen so badly; I've imagined what it was like to…be with you in that way so many times." She walked over to the floor-to-ceiling window, gazing out at everything and nothing below them so she wouldn't lose her nerve. "Granted, I didn't want it to happen that way, but it did."
Sophie crossed her arms over her chest, chewing on her bottom lip with her blunt teeth. She could sense Derek's attention on her still. "They treated me like a sexual assault victim at the hospital; they wanted to file a police report even. Melissa said that was how it looked, so they didn’t refute it," she snorted in derision then, wiping away a stray tear. "If I felt any violation from what happened, it was from that."
"Why didn't you?" Derek asked after a few moments.
Sophie turned around, facing him head on, her insecurities forgotten for the moment. Her hands balled into tight fists. She tried her best to keep her anger in check, but she had a feeling it wouldn't take much more for her to wolf out.
"There is no way in hell I would do that to you," she retorted, emphasizing each word to make sure he knew she meant every single one of them.
"Why not? I deserve it," Derek responded.
Sophie sped over to him, faster than she even knew she was capable of, and before she could even think about what she was doing, her lips were on his. She poured everything she felt into the kiss, allowing all the feelings she felt for him to flow out of the locked box in her mind.
Derek did nothing for a few moments, allowing her to kiss him, but he soon was unable to allow her to kiss him so passionately without reciprocating. Sophie deepened the kiss as she felt Derek return it, grabbing hold of Derek's scruffy cheeks. A thousand thoughts ran through her head then of things that she wanted to do with him. Before things became too heated, she broke the kiss a few minutes later. She met his darkened eyes then, her chest heaving.
"What was that for?" He asked with ragged breaths. She could easily see the effect she had had on him.
She threw her hands up in the air and groaned in frustration. "I know what the mark means, Derek. You told me, remember? Not to mention, I can feel it. So, you're my Alpha and my potential mate. If you're going to reject me, just do it; it's not going to change the fact that you're my Alpha."
"I don't deserve to be anyone's Alpha. You know that I'm no good at it," Derek spat back before softening his tone some. "I know you never wanted this. And only I can decide if I want to complete the mate bond since I'm the one that marked you."
"Well, tough shit, Derek, because you're looking your new Beta in the face, whether you want to be my mate or not." She swallowed at her words, her tough bravado fading much quicker than she wanted it to as the thought crossed her mind. "And with everything that's happened—none of it changes the fact that I'm in love with you. I have been for months."
Derek couldn't hide the shock that rendered on his face at her revelation. He didn't say anything for the longest time, his face quickly becoming stoic as he took in her words.
Sophie sighed and rubbed her face. Her worst fears were coming true; Derek didn't feel the same things that she did.
When Derek still didn't say anything after what felt like an eternity, Sophie lowered her gaze to the floor before turning and heading toward the door. "I'm sorry I bothered you. I'll leave you alone."
Just before Sophie reached the door, strong and fast words rang out through the loft, commanding her to stop where she stood. The force of the command ran straight through her, sending a shudder down her spine and brought her to her knees. The sheer amount of power that emanated from the deep voice behind her nearly shook her to her core.
Moments later, Sophie felt shockwaves run through her again as Derek gripped her chin lightly in his hand and gently turned her around to face him. She looked up at Derek then through her lashes, his brilliant red eyes shining back to meet her yellow ones.
His voice was low, but as seductive as velvet as it wrapped itself around her. "Do you really love me?"
"Yes," she answered without hesitation.
In a second, Derek had pulled her to her feet against his hard body. His eyes faded back to green as he held her gaze. "Do you accept me as your mate?"
Sophie swallowed with a nod, feeling her wolf sink away from the surface from his touch. "Yes, you know I do, or I wouldn’t be here telling you all this."
Derek ran his fingers over her cheek softly, his eyes never leaving hers. "Good, because I love you, too, and you're never leaving if I have anything to say about it."
“What are you saying?” Sophie asked for clarification.
“You’re mine,” Derek returned, his voice dropping low.
Sophie swallowed as Derek stood there watching her for a moment, her lips curling into a smile as it finally occurred to her what he was saying.
Derek continued when she didn't respond, brushing a few strands of hair behind her ear. "I think a part of me has always felt something for you. Even if, at first, it was just attraction and the need to protect you. But, it's become so much more the closer that we've become."
Sophie tried to think of something to say, but her mind was still swirling with the words she had only dreamed of him saying. Derek soon buried his nose into the crook of her neck, taking in her scent deeply. She shuddered from his act, feeling her knees going weak when a low rumble sounded from within him.
"I was so afraid that you would figure it out when I was around you, and then things would change between us. I couldn't let that happen, so I never said anything," Sophie said finally, running her fingers through his raven locks. "I wanted to tell you."
"I should have figured it out," Derek replied, placing a soft kiss on her neck.
"Apparently, I'm better at hiding things from you than I thought." A smug smirk curled on her lips at the thought.
Derek met her gaze and raised a brow. "You were able to hide one thing from me. Don't get too cocky."
Sophie couldn't help but chuckle at the man in front of her. "Don't be such a sour wolf."
She kissed him softly when she noticed his usual reaction to the despised nickname to try to soften the blow. Sophie knew how he felt about the name, and she rarely used it in his presence, but there were times when she couldn’t resist.
As she released him and began to move away from him, she heard Derek grumbling underneath his breath. She snickered while shaking her head until her wrist was caught in Derek's strong, but loose grip.
"Where do you think you're going?" Derek asked with raised brows.
Sophie turned to look at him, raising her own brow in question. "To the fridge." She pointed toward the appliance for emphasis.
Derek nodded and released her wrist from his grip.
"Is this how you’re going to be from now on?" Sophie teased, turning to face him again. "An insanely overprotective Alpha and possessive mate?"
Derek walked away from her toward the tiny kitchen, but she didn't miss the upturn of his lips as he passed by her. She turned toward him awaiting his response, following him into the kitchen and leaning against the cabinets lazily. She watched him as he opened the fridge and grabbed two bottles of water, setting them on the counter beside him.
Assuming he wasn't going to answer her question, she turned her focus away from him for a moment. Just as she did so, Derek was in front of her before she could blink. She moved her hands to the counter on either side of her out of instinct to brace herself. His hands were on either side of her on the counter top, caging her in. His body was inches from her own and she could feel the heat radiating off his body, mixing with her own.
"Is that how you want it?" Derek asked in a low, seductive voice.
Sophie swallowed, noting his red Alpha eyes beaming back at her. She couldn't help but swallow the lump in her throat as she watched him observing her. She said nothing as he took in her scent and read her emotions for a moment, his face moving closer to hers. He stopped just in front of her face so their lips were nearly brushing, his gaze fixed on hers. His lips curled up in a smirk then before he pushed himself away from the counter.
Sophie released the breath she didn't know that she had been holding when his back turned toward her. She wanted to throw one of those water bottles at him for teasing her. Her lips turned into a smirk of her own when a thought occurred to her.
"If I said yes, would I have to start calling you Daddy?" Sophie's smirk grew even wider when she watched Derek's entire body freeze where he stood.
After a few moments, Derek turned his head to the side. His eyes flashed red briefly before returning to their green color. "While I think it's necessary to wait until you're more aware of what you've become for me to claim as you mine, you don’t want to tempt me, Sophie."
Sophie shuddered at his words. She knew he meant them somehow, but she still couldn't help but smirk at him again, anyway. Whatever dynamic they developed from that point on, Sophie knew it wasn't going to be boring.

Restraint
Tumblr media
PART ONE OF THE “RE” SERIES RATING: MA FANDOM(S): Teen Wolf PAIRING(S): Derek Hale/OC SUMMARY: Derek has been bitten by an unknown supernatural, so the pack has no choice but to lock him up in case the venom from the bite has adverse effects on him. Sophie stays with her best friend to keep an eye on him and keep him company. Sophie just thought her Friday night was going to be boring.
A/N: Hey, guys! Here is my latest story featuring Derek Hale. This is an idea I had one day that I couldn’t help but write. While the creature is not identified yet, you may be able to guess what it is. With that said, I’ve added my own twist to the creature, so it definitely has added traits to it to fit the plot more. Due to the nature of the plot, this story is definitely on the mature side.
While there is an original character, this can be read as an imagine. That was my idea when I initially started writing it, but I prefer to write in third person. I didn’t delve into Sophie’s character too deeply, so you can imagine her how you want to. I imagined her as being played by Nora Arnezeder if you would like a visual. Her age isn’t mentioned, but she’s a year or two younger than Derek. It’s set about a year after Season 3A, but Derek is still an Alpha.
Please excuse any errors because I’m sure there are plenty and this was not beta’d.
Enjoy!
Disclaimer: I do not own Teen Wolf, nor any of the characters. All characters belong to Jeff Davis, except for Sophie, who belongs to me. This story contains mature and sexual content/situations, so read at your own risk.
Warnings: Dominant!Alpha Derek, lots of smut, and swearing.
Restraint
"Come on, Soph."
Sophie tuned out the pleading voice behind her, keeping her focus on the textbook on the table in front of her and the pencil in her hand. She had been sitting there in the same spot for nearly three hours, trying to complete her homework while she had nothing better to do except ignore the man in the room with her.
She had not intended to spend her night holed up in an abandoned building in the creepiest part of town, but Sophie had been convinced to watch a sour werewolf who had been bitten by a supernatural creature that remained a mystery. The bite had been quick, but was deep on his forearm and had grimy blackish-green liquid dribbling out of the wound. Sophie tried her best to block out the image of the creature attacking her best friend. It had taken off before Derek could even think about retaliating.
The bite wound had healed like any other injury, but Deaton had suggested to keep the younger Hale confined until they could figure out what had bitten him. What hadn't surprised Sophie was that Derek had readily agreed to go into the cell, lest he attack anyone if the bite or venom did have any ill effects. Hours had passed, and it seemed even Derek had limits on patience.
"Please let me out, Sophie. I have no symptoms, and it's been hours," Derek tried to reason as he leaned on the bars of the steel cell he had been locked in, a straining noise sounding from his weight.
Sophie turned her head toward the Alpha for the first time in a few hours, her eyes studying him to make sure he wasn't lying. She could see the sweat glistening on his skin and various spots on the tank top he wore, but she had also been sweating a bit from the poor ventilation in the building. Derek didn't seem any different to her, and she was one of the few people who had been allowed to see Derek past his tough exterior and thick walls to know if he was actually affected or not.
She sighed and set her pencil down on her notebook, slowly turning around on the chair that she had found just as the gang left her and Derek in the building. She remembered Scott's words playing in her head as he had taken her aside and talked her into staying with Derek.
"You're the one he's closest to. If something were to happen, he most likely won't hurt you. He also saved your life—again."
Sophie had agreed after hearing the younger Alpha's words, not that she had needed a lot of convincing in the first place. If Derek did attack her, she would be defenseless against him as a measly human, despite the fact that he had taught her to defend herself even after turning down his offer to receive the bite. While the rest of the pack were some of her closest friends, Derek had become like the older brother she had never had over the past couple of years.
After Derek lost Boyd and Erica and was betrayed by Jennifer in the most despicable way over a year ago, she could always sense the loneliness and guilt that Derek carried with him, even though he hid it well. With Cora and Isaac out of the country and Peter doing his own thing, she had stayed close to Derek, never giving up on him no matter how many times he had tried pushing her away.
Sophie also knew that had she not been out in the woods in the dark by herself, they wouldn't be in the situation they were at that moment. She was just waiting for Derek to point that out to her.
"You know, just because you seem like Derek doesn't mean I'm going to let you out," Sophie replied finally. "Deaton warned me not to open the door until they came back with something substantial or called to let me know it was fine."
"Well, at least stop ignoring me. Do I look like someone who would hurt you? I didn't ask to get bitten by some unknown entity." Derek raised his brows. "Besides, if I really wanted to get out of here, don't you think I could without much effort and would have already?"
His arms were threaded through the bars, his weight heavy against the door as he leaned almost lazily against it. She didn’t doubt that he could easily break out of the cell if he really so desired. Deaton had claimed it was made of reinforced steel, but it looked like it had seen better days with rust covering nearly every inch of it.
The building they were in was off by itself on the edge of town, and she didn't bother asking what they had done there before its demise. She had wondered how Deaton had known about the place before pushing the question out of her thoughts. Although it looked every bit like a dirty, abandoned building with dust covering nearly every inch from disuse, it had a fully functioning bathroom and shower that looked less grimy than the rest of it.
Sophie blew out a breath and stood up off the chair. "Fine," she relented as she closed the short distance between them and stood at the cell door. She mirrored his stance, leaning opposite him on the steel door only a few feet away from where he stood. "How are you feeling, really?"
"I told you, I feel fine," Derek reassured her, his green eyes meeting her blue ones.
"To be honest, I turned my back to you because I hate seeing you locked up like this," Sophie admitted, lowering her eyes to the grungy concrete floor.
"It's not the first time, and won't be the last, I'm sure," he replied, watching her. "How are you doing?"
Sophie met his gaze again, not at all surprised that he would be worried about her well-being. "I'm good," she answered with a small smile. "Thanks to you."
"Why were you even out, anyway?" Derek asked curiously. "I know that you're a night owl, but you should know better than to be out alone at night in this town."
Sophie sighed. "I know, it was stupid. I just needed to clear my head after he had called, so I went for a run. I didn’t want to bother anyone."
Derek sensed her frustration and sadness, anger coursing through his body at the thought of her ex contacting her. "What did the douche want this time?"
"He wanted to meet up this weekend. His excuse was that he hadn't seen me in months, and we needed to catch up," Sophie explained, staring at the wall a few feet in front of her at the back of the cell.
"Tell me that you didn't agree to it," Derek returned through gritted teeth.
"Hell no," Sophie retorted. "Ben only wants one thing—he always has. He's probably between girls and thinks he can use me as his booty call."
"You deserve so much more than that piece of shit," Derek responded, digging his nails into his palms to try to stifle his anger.
"I know," Sophie responded, glancing in his direction before looking back down at the floor.
"You should have called sooner. It could have been you in this cell instead of me," he admitted finally, moving closer to her so that their arms were touching. "I would have gone out with you. You never have to worry about bothering me."
"I know, I should have, Der. I wasn't thinking. He makes me so crazy because he knows exactly what to say to draw me back in, even if it's just a for a fleeting moment. And then, I hate myself for even considering it."
"Don't let him get to you," Derek replied, taking her hand in his and squeezing it in a comforting gesture. "Please don’t hate yourself. Trust me, it won't do you any good."
Sophie smiled, squeezing Derek's hand in return.
After a few minutes of comfortable silence, Sophie checked her phone to see if she had received any texts from the gang. She wasn't completely surprised that she hadn't since they had virtually nothing to go on except the small sample of venom that Deaton had gotten from Derek’s arm after the bite had healed.
"Are you hungry?" Sophie asked, mulling over the few options they had to choose from in town. "I mean, it's nearly midnight, but I can go pick something up if you want."
"I could eat, but there aren't going to be many options at this hour," Derek pointed out.
"I can text Scott to see if his mom can make something and have it brought over," Sophie suggested, pulling up her friend on her phone. "I think she's off tonight."
"If you think she'll do that, go ahead," Derek responded, shifting against the door.
It was about forty-five minutes later when Sophie received another text from Scott to let her know that they were outside with the food.
"Stiles and Scott are outside," Sophie informed her temporary roommate. "I'm going to go run out and grab the food since a bad storm is heading this way. They're not afraid to face all kinds of deadly creatures, but God forbid they get caught in a thunderstorm." She couldn't help but smile at the dramatic eye roll she received from her friend.
She placed her phone on the table beside her things before beginning to make her way out of the building. She wasn't completely lying about the storm since there was one headed their way, but she had wanted to speak with the two boys to see if there were any updates. Sophie knew Derek would most likely overhear them if he wanted to, anyway.
"Okay, I'll just wait here," Derek responded dryly as he watched her retreating figure disappear through the door.
Sophie jogged out to the jeep that held two of her friends as they rolled down the passenger side window. Scott held out a large brown paper bag to her before handing her another larger duffle bag that she placed on her shoulder.
"Thanks for coming, guys," Sophie said as she leaned against the metal door of the powder blue Jeep. "And for getting all this."
"No problem. How's he holding up?" Scott asked curiously, his brows knitting together.
"He seems like himself," Sophie answered honestly.
"Oh, nice and grumpy, huh?" Stiles chimed in with a side smirk.
She shook her head, ignoring the jab. "If the venom has adverse symptoms, he's not showing any. I don't get why we have to keep him locked up."
"Deaton said the signs could take a while, depending on the type of venom. I called him on the way over, and he's still running tests on the sample," Scott responded, a frown etched on his face. "I don't like keeping him locked up, either, but until we know for sure, Derek needs to stay here."
Sophie nodded with a sigh. "I know, I'll just keep playing babysitter," she joked, but her smile didn't reach her eyes. "I'm just a junior in college who has nothing better to do on a Friday night." Her voice was thickly laced with sarcasm, but it was well known that sarcasm was one of her coping mechanisms.
"Hey, we know it's not easy for you to see him like this," Scott commented with sympathy in his brown eyes. "We also know you're blaming yourself."
"Yeah, we know how much you care about him," Stiles added in a quiet voice with a similar look, his features more serious than before.
Sophie met both of their knowing glances, but didn't respond. When a clap of thunder sounded in the distance, she pushed herself off the door before beginning to walk backwards a few steps. "Thanks again for bringing us food and other necessities."
"No problem," they replied in unison.
Sophie gave them a small smile, turning to head back into the building before the storm hit.
"Hey, Soph," Scott called out to her.
She stopped and turned around toward them once again. "Yeah?"
"Be careful and contact us immediately if anything changes."
"Will do," she responded before jogging back into the building as the thunder sounded again, much louder than before.
After she had gotten a few feet into the building, the sky seemed to open up and released a heavy downpour. She glanced up at the roof as she continued further into the building, thankful that it seemed to be without any significant holes. As she entered the interior room where Derek was being kept, she adjusted the duffle bag on her shoulder to keep it from slipping and peeked into the paper bag to see what food they had.
"Oh, sweet, Melissa gave us some lasagna. It is to die for," Sophie began as she set the food down on one side of the chair. She also set the duffle bag down on the chair and began to rifle through it. "They also grabbed some clothes and toiletries for us, just in case. The most important of those things—toilet paper."
Digging through the bag, she saw some of her own clothes along with some of Derek's, two toothbrushes, a tube of toothpaste, deodorant, soap, shampoo, two towels, and the aforementioned rolls of toilet paper. After digging some more to see if there was anything else in the bag, she found a box, her eyebrow raising in confusion. She pulled the box out of the bag enough, noticing the note stuck to it written in familiar handwriting.
It never hurts to be prepared!
She removed the note so that she could read the label of the box before she quickly dropped it back in the bag, like the offending thing had burned her. Magnum condoms, she thought to herself. I am going to kill them.
"Hey, Derek, are you still with me?" Sophie asked, hoping the blush on her face and the catch in her throat weren't obvious.
Glancing up finally toward the cell after not hearing a word from the younger Hale, Sophie froze at what she saw. The cell door was bent into an indecipherable shape that looked more like origami than a door as the object hung loosely on its hinges. The small cell was empty, which both worried and frightened her a bit. Her eyes quickly darted around the room for the Alpha as she began to reach for her phone that she had left on the table.
"Der?" She called out tentatively, trying to steady her voice.
She felt a wave of great unease run through her the longer he went without answering and when she realized her phone was gone, quickly shuffling through her messenger bag that she had set on the floor by the table. She didn't know what was going on, but whatever it was, it was not good.
"Looking for something?" A smooth, deep voice rang out from a shadowed corner of the room.
Sophie froze once again, realization dawning on her that Derek had taken her phone. She swallowed before standing to her feet, turning to face the corner where the voice originated from as she noticed glowing red eyes staring back at her. As he stepped forward out of the darkness into the faint light that was in the room, he held up the device she had been searching for in his hand before crushing it effortlessly.
She watched as he let the remains fall out of his hand onto the floor. Sophie then noticed that he was still inching toward her, as if stalking his prey. Whatever was going on had to be from the venom in his system. She normally wouldn’t be afraid of Derek, even when he was a fully transformed, but the Derek in front of her sent a chill down her spine. He wore an almost sinister look as his lips curled into a smirk that reminded her a lot of Peter, only worse.
She hadn't realized she had been backing away from him, inching slowly closer to the door to the room until her back hit a wall. It was soon clear that she would never make it to that door.
"Why are you so scared, Soph?" Derek asked, sensing her fear mounting as he neared her. "It's your best friend, Derek." Even his voice sounded off, a hint of devilish intent with a captivating edge to it.
"I'm not," she insisted, knowing it was a lie they both saw through.
When he suddenly closed the distance between them, she let out a gasp as he blocked her in against the wall, each arm caging her in place on either side. His eyes were all but daring her to try to run as they remained their brilliant red color.
"I know you're not going to hurt me, Derek," Sophie remarked confidently.
"You sound so sure of that," he responded, dipping his lips against her ear.
His voice sent a shiver down her spine as his hot breath fanned her face. She swallowed to try to re-wet her dry throat before she placed her hands on the hard planes of his chest to move him away from her. Even though she was using all of her strength, she soon gave up since it was like trying to move a mountain. She hadn't moved him an inch, and her efforts seemed to spur him on further as he moved closer.
"You don't really want me to move, do you?" Derek asked, his voice husky in her ear. "I can tell you don't; you like having me close. In fact, I think you like it a lot."
"Derek, please don't," she pleaded, knowing he could usually read her like an open book when she let him.
Sophie had always been afraid that he would figure out what she felt for him by her smell and feelings, so she tried her best to stay as guarded around him as possible. Scott had easily picked up on it months ago, but Derek had never even alluded to knowing her secret.
"Don't what?" He asked as if he was oblivious. He ran his nose down her neck, breathing in her scent and chemosignals that radiated off her skin.
"This isn't you, Der," Sophie tried reasoning, meeting his blazing eyes.
"Oh, but is it, sweetheart," he responded in a sickly-sweet voice. "I'm the Alpha. I make the decisions here." He further emphasized his point by molding his body to hers, allowing her to feel every hard inch of him.
"I'm not your Beta, Derek," she commented, trying to sound confident, but her voice was betraying her.
"I can easily fix that," he challenged, running his fanged teeth over her pulse point.
When Derek ran a hand over her cheek and trailed it down her neck slowly but surely, leaving her skin scorching, she couldn't help the whimper that fell from her lips. His smirk should have frightened her to the bone, but it didn't.
"What do you want?" She found herself asking before she had even realized it.
"I think you already know the answer to that," he replied in a softer voice with the seductive edge still present as he ran his hands down her sides slowly. "Don't you feel it?"
Part of her thought Derek was referring to the hard bulge straining in his jeans against her lower abdomen, but then the other part knew better. Sophie knew he was referring to the electricity hanging in the air between them. She didn't know how, but she did feel something. A familiar pull was urging her forward, the one she had felt drawing her to him since they had met.
She closed her eyes then, chewing on her bottom lip as he continued to brush his lips and elongated teeth over her skin. Sophie tried to keep her body from reacting to his closeness and touch, but it wasn't working very well.
"This is the venom in your system," Sophie stated finally, her voice nearly gone. "It's making you do this."
“The venom may be fueling what's already there, but my actions are definitely my own," Derek insisted, his hands trailing back up her sides.
"What do you mean?" She asked, opening her eyes and meeting his bright red ones.
Derek remained quiet for a moment before running his tongue languidly over his lips and teeth as he raked his eyes over her trembling body before him. One might think that it stemmed from fear, but he sensed that that had been overcome by the desire that hung heavy in the air.
"Isn't it obvious, or do you need a not-so-little hint?"
When she didn't answer immediately, he bucked his hips against hers in quick succession, eliciting a moan from her at the action as his meaning hit her like a ton of bricks. Sophie couldn't stop the pull in her lower belly if she wanted to then, not that she even had the will or strength to stop the familiar feeling forming between her legs.
She noticed as he took in a deep breath, the resulting noise filling her ears as a deep, guttural growl sounded from deep within Derek's throat. It was like something had taken over him then, more than it already had, his features becoming even more feral than before as he eyed her hungrily.
When the claws on his thumbs flicked over her breasts, the sharp, jagged edges easily finding her already pert nipples through her thin shirt and bra, Sophie couldn't help the loud moan that came out of her mouth. The act caused her to arch her back towards him and sent shockwaves straight to her already dampening core. She moaned his name then when he repeated the action once more, causing him to react even more as he tore her shirt and bra, pulling the ruined fabric from her body.
She gripped his tank top as he began hungrily kissing and nipping down her neck, his hips digging into hers and his hands kneading, pinching, and squeezing her bare breasts as all sense and reason seeped further out of his mind. He soon discarded the shirt he wore, ripping it off his body as the need to feel her skin against his own heightened. He felt a shudder run down him as soon he felt the slight satisfaction at feeling her breasts pushed against his hard chest, but he soon wanted more.
"Fuck," Derek growled out.
Sophie writhed against him as she felt her high building, feeling a sense of calm envelope her as he wrapped his arms around her half-naked body. When his lips finally met hers in a searing kiss, she felt her knees nearly buckle from the amount of passion and want behind it. He must have felt her weakness because the next thing she knew, he had scooped her up into his strong arms, his hips grinding against her with a purpose.
"Derek," Sophie begged between kisses, her senses overwhelming her.
He took her pleading words to heart as he moved them away from the wall then, carrying her swiftly to the table in the middle of the room. Derek quickly and roughly shoved everything off the surface, sending her textbooks, papers that contained her notes, and pencil flying every which way onto the floor. He set her down on the surface, quickly fitting himself between her legs once again as he pulled her to the very edge of the table against him.
Sophie ran her hands down over the hard muscles of his back and chest as he reconnected their mouths, as if he hadn't just been kissing her into oblivion. She shuddered at the power emanating from underneath his skin as her hands trailed down to the waistband of jeans. She found herself becoming impatient as she made quick work of the button and zipper before pushing them down his legs to the floor. He quickly toed off his shoes and socks before kicking the offending item of clothing out of his way.
Derek broke their kiss then, eyeing her heavily with intent as he stood in just a pair of boxer briefs that did little to hide his arousal. He pulled off her sneakers and socks, tossing them behind him before he began to slowly undo her jeans. She leaned back on the dusty table, picking her butt up a bit to allow him to yank the fabric from her legs.
Sophie stared at him then as he stood in front of her before she began rubbing and gently squeezing the massive bulge in his underwear. He gave her an appreciative growl as he watched her intently before he needed the confining material gone and nearly ripped it from his body. Sophie stared even more than before, the size of him sending both apprehension through her body and more shockwaves to her center.
She had seen Derek shirtless plenty of times, but had never had the privilege of seeing him fully naked before. Sophie found that she wasn't surprised to find him so well endowed; he was an Alpha, after all. But even before he became an Alpha, she had had an idea at his size from her curious and inconspicuous glances at the bulge she often found in his jeans.
"See something you like," Derek remarked with a smirk, his deep voice full of seduction and pride.
Sophie noticed how he had phrased his words as a statement instead of a question, confidence dripping from his voice. She nodded her head to answer him anyway, almost as if the action had been instinctive. She didn't know when Derek's wolf had come so close to the surface, but she couldn't help but notice from the deep register of his voice. The sound of it made her even wetter than she already was. The only thing missing was the fur and wolf-like features on his face.
She somehow tore her eyes away from his magnificent form and met his heady gaze once again. As she did so, Sophie noticed as he slowly reclaimed his earlier position between her legs, instinctively spreading them to fit his massive form as he ran his hands over her thighs.
Sophie swallowed at his touch. She needed some of kind of relief, the ache continuing to grow between her legs the longer he stood there. She bit her lip, carefully running her hand over his length as he released a groan from her touch. She ran her fingers over the head, spreading the dripping fluid over him before she moved her hand away from him.
He looked at her with disappointment, clearly wanting her to continue. When she blatantly ran the same hand over her soaked panties teasingly, he couldn't help but take her up on her suggestion. Derek ran his fingers slowly over the seam of her panties between her core and thigh briefly before slipping a claw underneath and pulling the loose gray cotton fabric to one side.
Derek nearly lost it when he finally saw her dripping core bared to him. He had spent many a night fantasizing about her naked and writhing beneath him when he laid awake in bed. He slowly dipped a finger between her folds, running a slow stripe up as his claw ran gently over her clit. He couldn't help but smirk wickedly as his movements elicited a loud moan from her lips, and as she arched her body into him. He instantly felt his dick twitch and throb the more he thought about how she reacted to him.
When she felt the loss of contact as he pulled his hand from her core, Sophie watched him, biting her lip as she pleaded with him to put them both out of their misery. She leaned back then on her hands, scooting back on the table some more as she placed her feet up onto the wooden surface and reclined back so she was almost laying down, her look beckoning him. She didn’t care that she could feel the dust and dirt stick to her slick skin and hair.
Derek read her loud and clear and knew exactly what she wanted him to do as she stared at him with want. He lithely climbed onto the table that was just long enough for them. He wasn't quite sure it would hold both of them, but he didn't care as his mind focused on one thing. As he settled over top of her, his lips found hers once again in a passionate kiss. His teeth had probably nicked her skin in the frenzy, but he could sense that she was in no pain.
Sophie pulled him further down on top of her so there was no space between them before she boldly grabbed hold of his length in her hand and ran it over her soaked heat. At her action, he lost any sense of reasoning he had left and quickly buried himself inside her to the hilt. His claws dug into the table on either side of them at the feeling of her wrapped deliciously around his length finally, hugging him as if she had been made just for him.
"Shit," Sophie nearly screamed at the sudden intrusion. While she wasn't a virgin, she knew Derek's size was going to stretch her well beyond what she had been accustomed to previously.
Derek didn't wait but a few moments before he began his thrusts, instantly reaching depths that she hadn't even realized were possible. His movements were fast and rough, but not enough to send anything but immense pleasure soaring through her. If his continued growls were any indication, she knew his wolf had all but taken over him as he continued to plow into her.
He soon buried his face into her neck, the action causing her to bare it to him in quick submission. His lips, teeth, and tongue kissed, licked, and nipped at her neck, leaving bruises on her skin as if to show everyone that she was his. Sophie quickly decided she would let Derek do whatever he wanted to at that point, finding herself at his complete mercy as she ran her nails down the slick skin of his back that caused him to growl even louder.
"Who's your Alpha?" She heard him ask between nips on her skin.
"You are," she immediately replied as if by instinct, even though she wasn't a werewolf.
"That's right, you're mine," he stated, his wolf's voice wrecked as he continued his movements.
Sophie writhed beneath him, realizing she had been matching his movements for some time. As Derek began to get rougher with his thrusts as his release neared, the table soon began to creak underneath the weight and movement. Sophie soon felt the immediate loss of contact when he slipped out of her before barreling back in, repeating the process over and over.
She felt her release climbing the more he did that, but when Derek began to massage her throbbing clit, Sophie soon found herself coming undone from the added pressure on her sensitive bud. She held in a scream as he quickened his thrusts to help her ride out her orgasm, slapping of skin and the creak of the table beneath them filling her ears.
A few moments later, the table gave way beneath them, sending them to the floor. Derek didn't even falter one bit as he continued to pound into her relentlessly with wood splintered around them. He picked up her hips a bit, changing the angle to allow himself to go deeper into her, the action spurring yet another build-up in her lower abdomen. His assault on her clit hadn't stopped, despite her falling over the edge, but his intentions were obvious that he wanted to drive her to another orgasm.
Sophie kissed him hungrily, threading her fingers through his hair and tugging as the other gripped his shoulder. He must have liked her actions because Derek continued on, biting her bottom lip and tugging on it gently with his teeth. She felt his claws digging into the skin of her lower back as he held her up some in his hands, but it wasn’t enough to be painful.
She knew they were both close as she felt her walls closing around him again and his thrusts became erratic and desperate, urging them both to let go. The grunts Derek released with each movement was a telltale sign that sent shivers down her spine. He soon began to stare into her eyes, his red ones glowing brightly in the dimly lit room.
Sophie bit her lip as she neared the edge once more, feeling him expertly thumbing her clit with almost too much pressure. After a few more rough but slow thrusts, Derek began to empty his load into her, which in turn sent her over flying over the edge after him. She couldn’t help but squeeze her eyes shut at the feeling, a strangled scream leaving her lips.
"Look at me," Derek commanded as he thrust into her a few more times without the precision he previously had.
Sophie couldn't help but open her eyes and fix her stare into  the brilliant ones staring back at her as they rode out their orgasms. His body soon relaxed, catching himself on his elbows so not to crush her before pulling out of her and shifting them so he laid beside her.
"Holy shit," Sophie muttered after several minutes, breaking the silence in the room.
Derek chuckled darkly at that, eyeing her with a proud smirk on his lips. She turned over to face him as he drew her closer, noting that his werewolf features were still visible. He kissed her fully but languidly then, which she eagerly returned, as he wrapped his arm around her.
They laid there for nearly twenty minutes in silence, basking in the afterglow of what just occurred between them. Sophie placed a soft kiss on his chest as he began to run his fingers through her soft blonde locks, trying to keep from getting his claws tangled in her hair.
"I don't think we're done," Derek commented suddenly, feeling another wave of lust and need hit him like a bulldozer. He eyed her before swallowing.
"What?" Sophie asked curiously.
Before she knew it, Derek was on top of her again, his lips meeting hers heatedly. Sophie could feel his erection against her core as he fitted himself between her legs, almost as if he hadn't just had an orgasm several minutes before. That time around, he seemed more desperate and his movements were much more fervent than the first time.
After kissing her for a few moments and stimulating her by massaging her clit, he slid into her once again, groaning in pleasure as if he had just found his way home after being lost for days. He quickly turned them over so she was on top of him, but Derek soon began thrusting into her and moving her so Sophie met his thrusts. It didn't take long for her to catch up as Sophie finally registered what was happening, continuing their exploits as the night went on.
After three more rounds, Sophie was exhausted and could barely move. The adrenaline from the past several hours running through her body had to be the only reason she was even conscious. Derek had finally passed out shortly after their last round several minutes before, his own exhaustion taking over his body. Derek's werewolf features were still on display, signaling that his wolf was still very close to the surface, but he looked peaceful while he slept. Sophie didn't know how much longer it would be before he would wake up, raring to go for round five.
As she laid there, staring at the ceiling, Sophie suddenly remembered Derek had brought his phone with him. She needed to let Deaton know about Derek's symptoms; they were clearly not subsiding anytime soon. She slowly slid out of his grasp with a groan as her body protested her movements, searching for his jeans that he had tossed aside on the floor hours earlier. She had no idea what time it was, either.
When she located Derek's jeans, Sophie searched in both pockets for the device. After locating it, she unlocked the phone, noting it was three in the morning. She started to call Scott, but decided a text would be better and would make less noise as she sat on the floor by the chair. She turned the phone on silent before sending a text to Scott to simply let him know she needed his help.
Her next text was to Deaton, letting him know all of Derek's symptoms that had started hours ago out of nowhere and showed no signs of letting up, save for the break she was getting at that moment. Before Sophie could finish listing out all the details, blushing as she typed them, Scott responded to let her know that he was on his way. She finished and sent her text to Deaton before telling Scott to bring reinforcements.
Derek hadn't hurt her except for some minor bruising and scratches during their rendezvous, but none of them were substantial wounds. She was definitely sore in more than one place, but that was to be expected. It was a miracle that Derek hadn't bitten her in his current state, but she sensed that he had come close a couple of times.
While she wasn't afraid of the Alpha werewolf lying a few feet away from her, Sophie didn't know if lust and intense arousal were the only symptoms he would experience from the venom coursing through his veins. Her fear was that Derek would become hostile when Scott arrived, especially if Scott tried removing her.
She just hoped Scott came with a plan.
It soon became a waiting game for her. Sophie didn't know if Scott and his backup would make it before Derek woke up, but all she could do was sit there and wait. She watched as the Alpha slept in a heap on the floor, covered in dirt and body fluids that she knew covered her body as well. She tried to ignore the cool air that was lingering in the building since her body was still overheated, knowing as soon as her body calmed down the effects of the cold would hit her.
While she didn't mind the attention that Derek was giving her—a dark, twisted part of her loved it, in fact—Sophie knew that she shouldn’t get used to it. She had always wanted to know what being with Derek was like, but she wanted it when Derek wasn't under the influence of some powerful supernatural venom. She didn't even know if any of it was real, or if it stemmed from her being the only one there with him.
The longer she sat there, the more Sophie tried not to think about how many times she and Derek had had sex — not just sex, but unprotected sex. While Sophie had just remembered the condoms that they had been given as a joke that still sat in the bag, she hadn't even thought about them once in the heat of the many moments they had shared. Not that it would have mattered either way, because she knew Derek wouldn't have been able to stop long enough in his frenetic state to even think about putting one on. She would definitely have to make a stop by the drug store later.
She grabbed the bag of food from off the chair, her stomach reminding her that it needed nourishment in the worst kind of way. Opening the bag, Sophie pulled out the container of lasagna, one of the plastic forks, and a bottle of water. She didn't know how much she would be able to eat, but she would at least eat some while she waited. The lasagna was cold as she chewed on it, but it was still good nonetheless.
Part of her wondered why she hadn't just run as soon as Derek had fallen asleep, but she couldn’t just leave her best friend there in his current state. Sophie hadn't left him once when he needed her, even when he claimed he didn't, and she wasn't about to start then. Sophie knew his actions were due to something beyond his control, regardless of whether he wanted to perform them or not.
As she finished a couple more bites of food, washing them down with some water, Sophie heard a groaning from on the floor. She halted her movements, her eyes flitting over to where Derek still lay a few feet away from her. When she saw him begin to move, she quickly placed the cap on her water bottle and replaced the lid back on the container of food. She stood up slowly before setting the water and food on the chair, turning to watch Derek like a hawk.
"Soph?" Derek called out finally in a raspy voice as he began to search the room for her. She noticed a hint of panic in his voice.
"I'm still here," she replied back hesitantly, keeping her distance.
His eyes met hers finally as he located her, their red hue still present as he blinked a few times to regain his focus. He stood up off the floor swiftly, stretching his tired muscles with several resounding cracks. Derek had noticed instantly that Sophie stood rooted to her spot, uncertainty flowing off her as she surveyed him intensely before she lowered her gaze.
"Are you hungry?" Sophie asked, looking away from him, crossing her arms over her bare chest as she felt his eyes scrutinizing her. "There's still some food left if you want it."
When he didn't answer, Sophie chewed on her bottom lip and met his gaze once again. She heard a low growl then as Derek appeared in front of her in a flash, his lips and teeth connecting to hers as he pulled her to him. His hands were all over her, yanking her back into the euphoric state she had been in each time, erasing the doubts in her mind. When he picked her up effortlessly and began to inch the tip of him into her entrance, she tried delaying him a moment so she could catch up.
Sophie said his name a couple of times, her voice nearly wrecked all over again, but her words didn’t seem to be registering. “Alpha,” she called out in a voice that she knew sounded desperate.
That one name falling from her lips must have gotten through to him because he halted his movements and looked at her. His gaze stared at her hungrily, but she continued. “I need you to touch me.”
His stare remained as he took in her words, as if trying to decipher their meaning.
She moved his hands before dropping to her feet, making sure to stay close so he didn’t think she was resisting. Sophie then took hold of his hand, leading them to a vacant spot on the floor. She sat down in front of him, tugging gently on his arm. As he took the hint and joined her, Derek’s mouth was on hers once again as he lowered them both down onto the dirty floor.
Sophie broke the kiss before Derek got too caught up, bringing his hand between them and placing it on her core. “Please, touch me, Alpha.” She looked into his red eyes pleadingly.
Another low growl sounded from within Derek’s throat as he fulfilled her request, running his fingers over her overly sensitive clit with just the right amount of pressure.
Sophie moaned loudly as his fingers began to further reignite the sparks between her legs, creating the desired effect she needed. “Oh, yes, just like that.”
He soon stopped before kissing her once again, pulling her closer and spreading her legs further. “I need you now.” Sophie didn't miss the desperation in his voice.
She nearly cried out in pleasure as Derek buried himself inside her once again. She didn’t know how, but Derek felt even better than he had all night. She could already feel her high building, and he had barely begun.
“Oh, Alpha.” Sophie didn’t know why, but the name kept falling from her lips as if it was second nature.
Things seemed to slow down and speed up all at the same time as they continued. Sophie could feel the burning in her sore muscles, but she didn’t dare stop as she met his powerful thrusts. The pain barely fazed her when Derek ran his clawed fingers down her hips and thighs, leaving a trail of blood and scratches in their wake. Her fingers gripped his broad shoulders, digging her nails into his skin.
Sophie had since forgotten about everything running through her mind before as it continued to cloud with thoughts of everything Derek. Their groans and skin slapping were the only sounds echoing throughout the building. It wasn't long before Sophie felt her release coming much sooner than expected, her moans picking up as she began to feel her walls hugging Derek's throbbing member tighter by the second. She had learned his habits well enough to know that he wasn't far behind her. She kissed his lips before trailing hers over his salty skin, feeling the scruff on his neck tickle her lips.
"Alpha," Sophie slurred against his skin.
The name spurred him on, a growl leaving his mouth. Derek began to pick up speed, his movements becoming erratic much sooner than expected. Sophie began to feel her body trembling uncontrollably as she neared the edge.
"Who do you belong to?" Derek groaned against her neck, gripping her hips in a grip that was sure to leave more bruises and scratches as he continued his movements.
"You," Sophie responded almost instantly. "I belong to you and only you, Alpha."
A loud growl sounded from deep within his throat then. Sophie shuddered at the noise as she felt herself begin to let go. A moment later, an immense pain bloomed in her shoulder before it began to turn into the most amazing pleasure she had ever felt in her life.
Her vision went blurry, and Sophie dug her nails into his skin as her orgasm exploded then. Her body writhed at the feeling as a scream left her lips, filling the entire abandoned building and surrounding area. She barely felt it when Derek extracted his teeth from her skin several minutes later, cleaning the bite he had left by languidly lapping up the blood.
Before long, she began to regain her vision and focus, some of the feeling coming back into her body. She was still tingling and her brain was still on a high as she felt Derek pulling her to his solid body almost possessively. His movements continued, trying to find his own release, but she barely felt them. Sophie felt his lips on hers then, instinctively returning his kisses. She moaned into his mouth, her fingers tangled in his damp hair.
As she broke away for much needed air, Sophie shuddered as Derek kissed her shoulder softly. She opened her eyes to watch him, a small, content smile on her lips. She instantly froze when she noticed Stiles standing there in the doorway out of her peripheral vision, sending her straight back into reality. Stiles’ eyes were bugged out as he surveyed the scene before him, Derek still mid-thrust on top of her and the werewolf's focus completely on her.
"Stiles." The name fell from her lips before she could stop herself, feeling Derek tense up and halt his movements a moment later.
Sophie swallowed as she saw Derek's brilliant red eyes on her then, a questioning look in them. She knew the moment he realized they weren't alone, as his senses picked up a third body in the room and a low, defensive growl emanated from his throat. She then realized he had fully wolfed out for the first time that night.
"Derek, it's okay," Sophie whispered in a soothing voice, taking Derek's wolfish face in her hands to try to keep him calm and staring into his eyes. “He’s just here to help.”
Derek was off her and on his feet in a second, twisting around and standing in front of Sophie protectively. A snarl left his lips at the sight of Stiles, inching forward towards the frightened boy.
Sophie heard a couple of gunshots ring out then, just before Derek began to stagger a bit as he was hit with what looked like tranquilizer bullets. She tried her best to get to him, but she still could barely move. That’s when she saw Scott and Malia run into the room to keep Derek distracted. She also spotted Chris inching into the room with the gun still trained on Derek in case more bullets were needed. Stiles was at her side then, removing his hoodie to wrap around her naked body.
“Oh, Soph,” Stiles muttered, his eyes full of worry at the sight before him. “We should have gotten here sooner.”
“I’m fine, Stiles,” Sophie assured him, pulling her knees to herself to cover her exposed body.
“Did he hurt you?” He asked, wrapping the hoodie around her as much as possible.
“No, it wasn’t like that,” she assured him. “It’s not as bad as it looks.”
“It better not be.”
She heard a roar rip through the building as she saw Derek eyeing them, his focus no longer on Scott or Malia. He was moving slowly toward them, Scott and Malia barely able to hold him back, but the tranquilizers did little to stop him. Sophie watched in horror as Chris had no choice but to fire a few more bullets into Derek’s back. Sophie gasped and covered her mouth as Derek immediately fell to his knees, tears forming in her eyes as his pained eyes locked onto hers. A whine left his lips then as he fell to the ground, the tranquilizers finally taking effect.
“It’s not going to hurt him,” Stiles assured her. “Argent had to use a little diluted wolfsbane, but Derek will be fine.”
Sophie nodded as she watched an unconscious Derek being carried out by Scott and Malia. She instantly felt the need to go after them, but knew she couldn’t.
“Scott’s going to come back to get you. Let’s get you dressed, okay?” Stiles rubbed her hand comfortingly.
She nodded her head, sniffling and wiping her face while trying to avoid getting dirt in her eyes.
Stiles went to the bag he had brought them, grabbing a pair of Derek’s underwear and one of Derek’s shirts. He figured that it would be better for her to wear the oversized clothes instead of her own small ones.
Sophie was unable to focus much at all as Stiles helped her get dressed. She was barely paying attention as Scott jogged back into the room and gently scooped her up in his arms to carry her outside.
“I want to go with him,” she pleaded, an overwhelming need to be close to Derek coming over her.
“He’s going to be go okay, Soph. Deaton thinks he figured out what bit him,” Scott explained.
“We have to help him,” she responded vehemently.
“We’re going to help as much as we can,” Scott promised her.
“But we need to get you to the hospital, first,” Stiles chimed in.
“I told you that I’m fine,” she argued. “Let me help you.”
“You’re going to the hospital, Sophie. End of discussion,” Scott retorted. “You can see Derek after you’ve been checked out.”
She sighed and resigned that she wasn’t changing their minds as she was placed in Stiles’ Jeep with a blanket draped over her. All she could think about was Derek’s well-being on the ride to the hospital before her body finally gave into the exhaustion consuming her.
Don’t fret! There is a part two to wrap things up. Part two is still being written, but hopefully I’ll finish that soon!

Some Updates
Hi, guys! I don’t know if you’ve noticed that I have removed Thaw from here or not. I’ve been toying around with the idea all week, and I’ve decided that I want to turn it into an original story. I doubt anything will ever become of it, but I’ve always wanted to write my own novel.
The story is going to stay very similar to what it was, but I’m taking out the Teen Wolf aspects and adding in my own mythology and characters. It will stay a werewolf and supernatural story; that part will not change. Once I rework parts of the story, I will most likely post it on Wattpad. I don’t know if you guys would even be interested in reading it, but I may promote it some on here.
I am also working on a two-part Teen Wolf story. It started off as a one shot, but it was around 10,000 words when I decided to make it two parts. It’s not exactly an imagine, but it can be read that way since I don’t really delve too much into the main original female character. I’m currently working on getting the first part of that story posted soon. It may be posted this weekend, but I’m still proofing it, so no promises.
I also have another Teen Wolf story that has been stuck in my head lately as well, but I’m not sure when I will start writing that one. I don’t want to try to take on too much at a time because I know none of it will get done. I don’t see that one being long either, but I still just have the idea mostly and the title. I really don’t know where that one will go at this point.
I hope you guys are doing well!

Hey, guys!
So, I’ve been MIA for a few months now. I didn’t plan on it, but that’s how it’s happened. BUT, I have been writing! Not just casually writing, but writing pretty consistently since the end of July. It hasn’t been for Take Care, unfortunately, but another story I had started earlier in the year. I was hitting a dead end with it and drawing a blank whenever I tried to add to it, even though I knew where I wanted it to go.
But, after watching Teen Wolf a few months back, I had an idea strike me one day about the story I had started. I made the decision to change who it featured, and ever since then, I’ve barely looked back. It was initially going to feature Jai, because it was a picture of him that gave me the initial idea, but after re-thinking it and changing the main guy character to Derek Hale, the story has just been flowing out so easily. The plot isn’t exactly the same, either, but not completely different from my original idea.
I know you guys are probably rolling your eyes at me right now, or worse, but I think this story was what I needed to get my creative juices flowing again. The added supernatural element also has added to the plot, so it’s gone beyond the initial idea as well. It’s not featuring the whole Teen Wolf cast or anything, just Derek and an original character, with a small appearance from one other character who shall not be named at this point. I didn’t realize how much I had missed writing about supernatural creatures until now.
This was definitely not something that was planned, either, but sometimes stories do that to me—hit me out of nowhere. This one has done that so much so that I’ve already written nine chapters for it, and I’m already about to start Chapter 10. Most are not long, but regardless, that’s still nine chapters in over a month. It’s been forever since I’ve written like this; probably nearly two years.
I want to give you guys a sneak peek at some point soon for feedback, but I don’t want to post anything right now. I’ll most likely post something closer to having it finished. I have no idea how long or when that will be, because I’m not writing based on an outline for this story, I’m just writing what comes to me. Plus, I know how my muse can be. The story itself is still very raw and mostly unedited, too. I don’t even know how many of you will read or be interested in it, but I’ll still post it, anyway. I will give you the title of it, though. It is called Thaw.
As for my previous post, I’ve decided that I won’t be taking requests anymore for the time being. Maybe at some point in the future, but not now. I got one request from one person, which I do intend to do at some point. I was intending to write it before this story, and even came up with an idea, but this story would not leave me alone until I wrote it.
Like I said before, I don’t intend on abandoning the rest of my unfinished stories (my Divergent ones especially), including the one that I planned on moving to when Take Care (and now, Thaw) is completed. For now, I’m going to roll with what my inspiration is leading me towards.
I hope you guys are doing well and thanks for your continued support! Until next post.

What’s Next?
I know you guys are wondering what I’m planning on writing next now that Pièce de Résistance is complete. My plan, for now, is to complete Take Care before moving onto a new story. I’m still going to finish editing it, first, but that was placed on hold since I got unexpected inspiration for Pièce de Résistance. I have several stories like Pièce de Résistance that I have started or have ideas for that include Jai, but I kind of want to do something a little different. I don’t love Jai any less, trust me. That’s not it at all. I am also probably not going to do another second person point of view (reader-focused) story for a while, because I think that may have contributed to slowing me down toward the end of Pièce de Résistance. My next multi-chapter story is a Divergent one, if I end up going to that one next, so I wouldn’t be completely straying too far.
I did recently watch Teen Wolf and have been reading a lot of fanfic in that fandom, so I may delve into that a bit as well. I’m not sure how many of you guys like that show or not, but let me know if you do. Again, my mindset may change; I tend to do that a lot. Part of me wishes that I could be one of those authors that could give you guys a vote on what I worked on next, but, for me, it doesn't really work that way.
All of that being said, I might possibly take a few prompts for some one shots or drabbles for specific fandoms/celebs at some point in the near future, but I can’t make any promises. If I do decide to do that, it wouldn’t be very many at a time and the prompts would have to be ones I really connect with to be able to stick with them. For me, I have to have some kind of inspiration or draw to the plot to be able to write it out properly and complete it. Thus the reason why I have so many ideas written down that have not been made into stories yet or have been started but have not progressed very far (seriously, it’s around 25–30; maybe more). I guess I’m weird that way.
Thank you guys so much for sticking around! I know my writing habits are annoying. Trust me, I wish I could change them and be more inspired to write more frequently. Let’s hope I continue that pattern.
