update on casino cups:

so currently it's still on hiatus. ive been busy with life but ive been also working on a one shot manga for a contest. so most of my time is going to be taken up by that since the due date is the end of februray. after thats all done, i'll go back to working on casino cups! as always patreon gets the updates first before it being posted on the casino cups tumblr. thank you for your patience.

Headcanons

Ok so this one is only about cups & mugs. We will talk about their powers( 'cause i wanted to give em those. Brightgoat wrote somewhere that some people get special powers so why the boys can't get em)

Mugman

His power is ghost manipulation. If he'd have the potion now he could do this:

When little mugsy didn't like someone or when he would go to the big city someone would talk shit about his brother and the after a little time another victim of a ghost attack woul be seen at Jimmy's place. He woul usually stop them when Elder Kettle puts the pieces together every time he hears a ghost rumour again. Every now and then cuphead woul convince mugman to make the ghosts do their house work.

Cuphead

Cuphead's power is cursing people ( that implies puting and removing them). I can see cuphead being a god at finding loopholes in the curses. I have this little story that shows it, so: cuphead knew an old couple at the church that prayed for children, they were super nice and woul usually give him sweets. Once cups was reading an old book whit many different stories, in one he discovered a curse that said "and the curse gave her a child but he won't hear or speak until he tastes the blood of his parents". On the next day he cursed them an leave a note that said: btw your pregnant now and the child won't hear or speak, but don't worry you can just mix a few drops of your blood whit some milk an he wil be fine. Ofc they thought it was a joke but after every thing really happened they did what the note recommended and moved away from the isle. Incidents like this and his hunger for adventures are why usually every one talked shit about him.

5 hours after defeating the devil

I always thought that defeating the devil, then running back home, then having a party all in one day must have been so exhausting.

After all is over, the kids go to bed and fall asleep inmediately, tomorrow and the day after that and the day after that they will have nightmares about the devil, the debtors, dying over and over again.

They're forever changed, a bit more brittle, a bit more scared. Heroes, but at the cost of their childhood.

But tonight they'll have a dreamless sleep, tonight they're together, safe and sound. Tonight everything will be okay.

anyways if you're wondering why this is tagged as "casino cups" too it's because of the injuries, cuphead broke his arm and mugman his handle :]

i like to think they shared the bed the first night after the fight because 1-None of them had the energy to climb to the top bunk 2-they were scared of being alone

Cuphead glanced around the room he was in, lounging against an old, threadbare – but still surprisingly soft – sofa. Seeing that neither Mugman nor Calyx were in the room, he ‘mmm’d, tail flicking before saying:

“There’s no real point in tellin’ y’all why I was worried, ‘cause God knows I’ll end up forgetting it all by morning, but, well… Let’s just say that Mugsy coulda – could still – get in a Helluva lotta trouble with a… ‘friend’, so to speak, of theirs, doin’ what they did. And that’s all I’m sayin’ on it, so don’t go tryin’ to hound me with anymore questions about it.”

Cuphead stood – floated – up, clawed, gloved hands sat firmly in the pockets of his torn, ruined jeans, and tail moving to curl around his left ankle. Grinning – strangely resignedly – he said, “Now if you’ll excuse me, but I have a ‘nimi Lord t’go bother the crap outta.”
