Aanya’s mothers died when she was an infant and has grown up surrounded by toxic palacehands and people trying to ASSASSINATE her. A CHILD. PEOPLE TRYNA KILL A KID. AND SHE USED A PLURAL. MORE THAN ONCE THIS GIRL HAS SURVIVED ASSASSINATION.

“She’s too mature.” Question? Mark?? Marks??? Geoffrey, she’d be DEAD if she wasn’t! “She’s just there to offer counselling to Ezran—” How about you don’t even go there, how’s that sound? SHE HAS HER OWN CHARACTER, TDP WAS JUST HORRID AT MANAGING THEIR SCREENTIIIME! Maybe she’s offering counselling to Ez because she’s also, oh, I dunno, A TEENAGER WITH A CROWN THRUST UPON HER HEAD AND KNOWS WHAT IT’S LIKE?!

The Aanya slander / hate I see is just appalling. Read between the lines, go read the novelisations, matter of fact. Go do a deep dive into her character and then come back and tell me she’s “just there and pretty much useless”.

There's only the fact that people like different things for different reasons, and connect to different things for different reasons, and have always done so and will always continue to do so. That's the reason why we have countless different stories. Find whatever gives you joy and let people enjoy their harmless fictional scenarios. Real life is serious enough.
