metal family theory: diana is dee’s stalker

I know this feels like it does not make a lot of sense. That’s because it does not. But I have been thinking about this for a while and it’s starting to make sense to me. Diana is actually stalking Dee. 

Okay, but what about the guy already stalking Dee?

I’m just presuming he’s either hired by Diana or he’s working for her somehow. I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility. Dee basically stalked Lif to try and get closer to her, and did use his friend to be able to execute his plan. So I don’t see why Diana wouldn’t be capable of doing the same. How she managed to get him involved, I have no idea. He might just be a weirdo and felt like going along with it, who knows. He’s also standing right next to her on the channel banner.

I feel like this is important too. Every character on this banner seems like they’re instrumental to the story one way or another. Only the main characters are in color, and everyone else is sketched out. Everyone else is probably a secondary character, but they’re all still important to the story. Diana and Dee’s stalker are both right next to each other. They’re also placed near Dee, so clearly we learn more about them through his story. We haven’t seen a lot about them yet, but clearly, they’re going to play bigger roles as the project continues. 

“Diana’s also not a boring character”

This could easily be just a statement on the fact that part of the projects message is to not judge people based on how they present themselves. I do see how it could be easy for a large part of the audience to just hate Diana because she likes Dee and her hair is pink. But I don’t think so. Here’s my reasoning: No normal person would like Dee. There has to be something wrong with her. I genuinely can’t see any other option. “He’s a pretty strange dude.” Something has to be wrong with her, and if she likes Dee, she can’t be normal. I mean it. I really mean this. I’m so confused by her character. Usually someone like her would just take it when Dee deliberately gave her the wrong answer, but instead, she kind of tried to ruin his life. Something is WRONG with her. And she probably still has a crush on him. I don’t get it. Dee had to continuously stalk Lif to try and get her attention because he’s such a weird person. He just operates on his own goals and desires. He’s fixated with being the best, for no ones validation in particular except maybe his old ass teachers, sits alone, and just generally broods everywhere he goes. And yet she likes him. Either she’s a stalker or she's unmedicated, and being a stalker is more interesting for the story, so I’m going with that. 

None of this makes sense. What if she’s just normal?
