Grow as individuals who also grow together.
“Nobody is superior, nobody is inferior, but nobody is equal either. People are simply unique, incomparable. You are you, I am I. I have to contribute my potential to life; you have to contribute your potential to life. I have to discover my own being; you have to discover your own being.”

“The human mind has absolute freedom as its true nature. There are thousands upon thousands of students who have practiced meditation and obtained this realisation. Do not doubt the possibilities because of the simplicity of the method. If you can’t find the truth where you are, where else do you expect to find it?”
— Dōgen

Nothing changes if nothing changes.
“The way you react has been repeated thousands of times, and it has become a routine for you. You are conditioned to be a certain way. And that is the challenge: to change your normal reactions, to change your routine, to take a risk and make different choices.”
— don Miguel Ruiz

Why your ‘trigger warnings’ might not be helping you
When it comes to beating anxiety, doing compulsions and avoiding triggers are the worst things you can do. It’s so easy because it makes you feel better in the short term, but really, avoidance only reinforces the anxiety.
By asking for reassurance, avoiding or checking, you are telling your brain that the anxiety you feel from the thoughts is necessary. Thus, the next time you get an intrusive thought, you will have that anxiety again. However, if you avoid anxiety-reducing behaviours, you are telling your brain that it doesn’t need to be anxious.
Whatever your fear is, expose yourself to that fear.
