When an intersex person is cis, they are expected to have an entirely pericis experience. They cannot talk about their queerness/intersex experiences because it's seen as "talking over" trans people. Everything they face is seen through the lense of "cis people facing latteral transphobia". Their experiences are erased.

When an intersex person is trans, they are expected to have a typical perisex trans experience. When talking about their experiences it's supposed to still go "agab is sex is SIG" and you having a gender & experience that is "far enough away" from that.

Any experiences that push them "closer" to their trans identity is considered "luck", medical abuse included.

Additionally, if you are naturally/abused to be "too close" to your identity, suddenly you're not allowed to be trans. You're pushed back into the cis category by mere object of not being understandable to perisex people. They still view you as being able to be put in the female or male category, so you're still expected to fit into typical MTF or FTM experiences.

the lack of recognition of how bathroom bills affect intersex people is intersexism.

this laws are usually pushed under transmisic agenda, and it's fair that trans rights advocacy addresses transmisia in these campains and laws. but these laws also affect intersex people.

some intersex people look visibly sex variant. and they are also seen as a threat to the sex and gender essentionalism. transmisia and intersexism are intertwined and may become inseparable in some parts.

intersex people are also at risk in gendered spaces. we can also be harassed, banned, charged for "violation," face various violence.

it's important to recognize that risk and remember about intersex people in discussions of these laws.

do y'all even know how much i hate being an "elder queer" at 40? a whole goddamn generation before me was wiped out by a plague that politicians deemed not their problem bc it was killing the "right" people. like. this was OPENLY STATED. i spent a large chunk of my childhood going to funerals. nevermind the fact that killing queer people for being queer wasn't codified into law as a hate crime until i was a junior in high school.

i should NOT be an elder queer, i should be middle at most. i am a middle aged queer. most of the elder queers died.

when i was growing up i didn't go to pride parades, i went to pride marches. because that's 100% what they were in the 80s and 90s.

from the absolute bottom of my heart, LEARN OUR FUCKING HISTORY. a generation was nearly wiped out so you young queers could be here. don't let that have been in vain, please.
