“Of course, I am full of only good ideas. Never bad ideas, obviously you underestimated me.” Maya took his time in priding himself on his brilliant quick-witted plan development methods, an action that urged his body to sag rather unceremoniously against a nearby buildup of wooden boxes that had most likely housed some form of animal for the sake of transport to the markets that were nearby in a fate of public auction. Since the two blithering brutes were so engrossed in their own douse of measly pain, really it was no worse than falling off a bike and breaking an arm, he took his pleasure in observing the interrogation that had begun to unfold before him. The allied demon of his acquaintance from the academy’s walls was a fair negotiator, but either the brute being targeted was truly stubborn of information-giving, or simply an innocent soul who knew nothing of the sister that was being sought. Regardless to the situation, Maya felt little empathy for him.
Normally, the observations of other demons was not something that warranted the Okami’s interest, but this was one of such times where an exception could be made. Aside from how typical the victims cries of anguish were, Maya had never seen one of his kind with this specific ability. By the way the body began to leech into a red-splotched mess of bursting veins from within the flesh, there was only one assumption to be drawn from the sight. Moowoo, or whatever it was which he called himself, was some form of demon with blood-control. Curious, very curious. The brightly colored demon slunk away from the position he had maintained against the wooden crates as the body hit lifeless finality upon the ground below.
“That’s too bad. Well, since you offered and since I enjoy a little fun...” The demon smiled a bit, the gleam that was bound to the depths of his eyes a rather unfortunate one that seemed all too foreboding to the two brutes who, up until this point, had remained grounded. “Do you guys know what is more fun than a broken leg? Not breathing.” And with that, the Okami descendant let loose a wave of illusions that choked each of the brutes and left them essentially strangling themselves of much needed oxygen. As they struggled to regain their breathing, hands frantically clutching at their throats, Maya moved toward his game-play ally and whispered in a lazy drawl. “When I get us out of this world, they will regain their senses slowly, so we will have to make the most of it and get away if you don’t want to deal with more brute labor.”

One simple prod against the fur-coated exterior of the living woodland animal, and already it seemed as though the okami decedent would receive some form of verbal digression from what he had placed into a rolling set of action. A voice had bumbled something somewhere over his head, as Maya was squatting down upon the ground at a level more adept for managing wild rabbits, and it called for attention to be focused upon the being who spoke up. Dark chocolate orbs trailed in an upward rise of sight to behold what appeared to be... a man. Though, it was of little surprise when one heard the voice. Definitely a voice inappropriate for a woman. Ah, but what wonderful luck he had inspired upon himself so as to garner the attentions of an apparent animal-lover.
For a full expenditure of several moments in passing of silence, the okami demon said absolutely nothing and did absolutely nothing. Rather, he merely allowed the brown hue of his eyes to observe the newcomer upon his activity as if reading through him most avidly whilst the little woodland creature dangled by the ears in his grip. No, there would be no releasing the little thing just yet. Slowly, ever so slowly, did the demon lick his lips as his gaze now took a notable shift from the speaking male to the bunny in his hand as if reassessing just what on earth he had been doing prior to the interruption. "Is there a sort of law within human society that says it's wrong to kill these animals?"
Maya sent forth a pre-animated set of chuckles to escape from between his pink-tinted tiers as he shook the bunny just very slightly so as to stir it up again into a little fit of feet padding about in a search for escape. "I don't see why you'd care, plenty of people hunt rabbits for meals and for fur. Even for sport." This much was absolutely true, and was a valid argument for the sake of his reasoning. If humans were of the ability to murder creatures of the natural soils for their own fun and games, then could demons not do the very same and be thought of no less for it ? "Slaughter is slaughter, no matter if the creature is of a linguistic family or not."

Ah, the great outdoors. Sometimes, one of the best activities that anyone could go through was to just simply go along and enjoy the wildlife that surrounded them, especially if that said soul had not really been outside since their last murder. TOP used to be the kind to go out and enjoy the sunlight and all of the tidbits of nature that cared to fly by. He used to be able to go out and simply marvel at the way nature had created such beautiful, wonderful things that weren’t himself. He used to gaze upon the trees and smile at the stars as if they were smiling back at him. But, as of recent, he had yet to go outside much at all.
After sulking into his depressive state, the water fairy had rarely even thought about leaving his room. He would spend day in and day out cooped up in his bed, doing nothing but watching himself bleed. Luckily, the final encounter that he had with his older sister had brought that spiraling depression to a sudden halt, and without warning the man was back on his feet yet again. But even so, he had found himself inside more often than not, unless he had specific plans to go somewhere, like out on the town with Jia or out on a hunt with another. Today was a good day to simply enjoy the wildlife before him. That was, until he spotted a man out and about, abusing the wildlife.
"Excuse me," the water fairy called, his footsteps slowly leading him in the direction of the other. It was clear to TOP that the person before him had full intent on torturing, and probably even slaughtering, the poor defenseless creature before them. Sure, the water fairy wasn’t exactly against murder like he was in the past, but why the murder of this creature in particular? "Why do you plan on hurting that defenseless rabbit? Did it commit some form of crime against you, or are you simply torturing it because you find it fun?" The fairy raised an eyebrow, taking a step closer. "Personally, I think the slaughter of creatures that can talk is much more entertaining."

Oh the fun that this was! Maya was absolutely brimming down to the very core of his being with trembles of pure glee in what he was accomplishing at current. In all honesty, he had missed the sweet sound of anguished pleas and pained cries emitting from the mouths of those who assumed themselves all large and powerful. Brutes, in all forms of the word, and yet oh so delicate when one was to take over the control and begin doling out to them what they had expected to unleash upon another. Too long had passed in which he'd had to behave himself. The academy where he was now taking residence apparently frowned upon such violent games, and he had subsided to keeping low profiles. For his introductory week, at least. After this little outburst, he doubted he would 'lay low' for much longer within academy walls.
Interrupted in his mindless happy place where pained screeches emitting from his two unfortunate playthings were as beautiful as music to his ears, there was a voice not in pain. That voice spoke on behalf of the demon who he had come to the rescue of, and engaged Maya in a set question by which he assumed he was expected to have an answer for. Very unfortunate to have an ally who was not already well endowed in the ways of the game. "Plan?" Maya repeated, eyes never once leaving the sight of the two brutes on their backs, "Was there supposed to be a plan?" A few seconds ticked by before a plan emerged from the fog of his torture-first-plan-later mind and the Okami decendant nodded over at one of the squirming brutes.
"Why don't you question them about your sister, eh? We've got them nice and bound by the level of our mercy, so why not ask them a question or two? More people could have seen her, who knows?" Oh that did not sound bad in the least did it? That was a good plan. Good job Maya. The Okami demon didn't particularly give much of his own personal care into the idea of goose-chasing for a lost sister, but hey, since they were holding their own with these buffoons, there was apparently a bit more use for them than the brightly colored demon could opt for. "And if they refuse to talk, you can squeeze them dry."

Wowie, this plain jane really was rather dull and unresponsive to the obvious sarcasm that had been laced within that question. It was no secret the burly demons were not friends a la carte, but it would be of no particular use if that was something that ended up being so blatantly pointed out as had been done. "If they aren't any friends of yours, then why are they standing around you?" The brighter, literally, of the two demon boys wiggled his fingers at a burly set of muscles that were easily taller than himself and smiled in a manner that didn't give off much of a threat, or amusement for that matter. It was just an empty smile. "Hello, I thought you and my plane jane friend were friends too. Oops."
Hm. Apparently, doling out the card of laughter to diffuse a situation did nothing in this situation. Apparently, it was only enough to bring forward a different kind of laughter, the not so inviting kind, and the upheaval of mass weapons that did look rather dangerous in theory. Daggers, axes, and a whip. The okami bred demon's eyes may have been devoid of fear, but that was made up for in the levels by which they displayed a keen eagerness for game. Of course, the game was one in which he and his ally would do the thwarting whilst the prey would scamper and cry out in surrender. Such games were his specialty, and the burly big brutes were more often than not the first ones to go crashing into their own ditches and cower.
But what was that? At the mention of a demon flying, Maya turned his head to find that his ally had begun the game without fair warning and was already ahead in the plan of attack. Well that certainly would not do, no it would not. "Why don't you just stop floating around up there, and let me lead the charge. Keep doing that though, it'll be useful later." Without waiting to explain himself, or what his words had insinuated, the bright entity of okami bloodline pulled out a lollipop from his pocket and quickly undid the wrapper to pop it into the depths of his mouth. While it didn't seem like anything had changed, the demon knew that now they were in his world. The one that he created and the one he had say over what went on.
In the realm of illusions, Maya was the progenitor and his own God, so to speak. He had created a world that mirrored the one they had just been in; so everything appeared just as it had in that alleyway entrance. "Now. You three, you want to have some fun?" Maya smiled, this time full of thrill, and pointed his lollipop along with two other fingers at the three demons. There, his points of target. With a tilt of his head and a rush of concentration, he sent them the mirage of having bones in their legs broken. Multiple bones. Well done, too, as it seemed effective enough to get them screaming in agony as they fell.

Stunned. It was the only word that could correctly be placed in active description of the face that continued to gawk at the neon-clothed demon with such open vivacity. If he did not wipe away such a profound expression, however, Maya would happily tickle a feather just beneath his nose to get him into proper working order once more. In all truth, it was just a slight disappointment to be dealt with when the plain jane finally shook away his stunned facial expression in favor of running his gaze across the crowd that surrounded them. This person... this Eun Bin that he spoke of, she must be of an important nature within the family tree for so much concern to be exuding from such a harried-looking demon as... well, as this plain jane. It brought upon the okami blooded demon the urge to at least be the provider of information that this peer sought for so desperately. "Truthfully, I didn't see anyone like your description specifically, but there was a girl who had long hair. I didn't get a good look at her though."
That, was perhaps of not much a helpful aid to the demon's frantic search, and yet it was the only honest piece of information that he could offer in provision. And for that, the demon he'd met within the barriers of Insolitus Academy had best show some gratitude for, as such honest replies rarely came forward from his own will of generosity. Of course, Maya knew what had to follow the description. It was a simple matter of family ties and values, and when family was missing, typical nature dictated that a plea be offered to those of passing encounter for aid in finding those lost. So when that plea did come, the demon simply lifted a finger to curl a lock of his brightly dyed blond hair around the surface and tug while offering a curt nod. "I'm not doing this for your material payment though, just so you know. We can discuss it later."
Oh. He was gone. Maya watched with vague amounts of curiosity as the sister-searching demon darted without halt toward the entrance of a nearby alleyway. Dolt. Obviously such a location would provide more difficulties than results, but it seemed he had not thought of that little detail. What resulted from the simpleminded move of the dark-haired demon was his encounter with two brutes. They appeared of tough build and hardened expressions, and they seemed very un-peachy by the sudden encounter. Maya did nothing but watch from where he stood, savoring the sight of the two burly demons taking menacing steps toward the much frailer demon in their path. Oh the trouble that had occured on such a peaceful day. What fun! Maya strolled forward so as to catch up with the little party and cheerily tapped Minwoo on the shoulder. "Are they friends? Should I introduce myself to the big-muscled men?" Should this fuse a brawl, Maya would take matters into his own twitching fingers.

Since taking flight figuratively from the mountains of home, those which the proud blood-bound procreations of the Okami clan were clear to consider their true right of nature, Maya had not given more thought to his secondary reason for what had determined his relocation to Insolitus Academy. The first, was a simple matter of gaining strength. Make his abilities far more vast in what they could accomplish and cause. If this academy proved to have been a wildly elaborated upon hoax of discrepancies, then he will have lost nothing himself. Not time, for he had plenty of it, and not effort, for there were still enjoyable playthings to be molded out of the student body that seemed to thrive. The informational journey he had hoped to rise to was a temptation, yes, and it was the foremost reason he found himself standing where he was currently.
The demon realm. Or one of such titled 'demon realms' as there appeared to be many before arriving in the dawn of Lucifer's cage of the much fabled Inferno. Maya though a demon himself, was filled with a lucid sort of curiosity which ebbed in varying degrees as his feet carried him along through cobblestone streets and passed the crowds of red-eyed fellow fiends. So these were the demons of his distant relation, was it now? Although they were all of demonic blood and body, the Okami demon was a perhaps interesting variation to what he saw milling about the marketplace in such normalcy of each their own life. As it were, none would harbor an understanding of that, of course. For Okami seemed every bit as demonically normal as the rest of these... others. In a course of his inspired curiosity, it was then that a thought happened upon the Okami demon's mind. Were there perhaps other clans of demons that were also on the quirky side of demonic heritage?
It was an interesting thought, but one that went quickly harvested out for weeding when a sudden frontal collision rammed the Okami demon into a state of the present and what dull thud now resounded from the tip of his shoulder where the impact had been most prominent. In any situation upon the human plane where this may have unfolded, Maya would have been quickly inclined to douse the source of collision into a rain of his most lovely treatment to pain, however this was the realm of his own kind, and thus he kept his suddenly spiked urges bottled. At least for the time being.
Perhaps that was a good choice, because as fate would have it, the clumsy one who had been the cause of the bodily collision was none other than the plain jane demon from within academy walls. Oh drat, what was his name? Oh well, if the need for name-calling surfaced in the timing of their undoubtable upcoming conversation, then Maya would simply refer to him as 'plain-jane'. For now, he simply would eye the other with a slight ruffled edge to his otherwise curious demeanor. "I? What am I doing here? Well, I don't see why not, since I am a demon just like you." His answer, apparently made no room for chatty cathy to sprout from within plain jane, and instead a hurried description of someone flew from the rushed flapping of lips on the other demon. "Not in particular, no. That's a pretty common haircolor, even with the brown tips. Though, if you told me how long exactly her hair is, there's a chance I could help you search."

Being home was terrific, and Minwoo wondered why in Satan’s name he had not returned to his place of birth earlier. He had relaxed completely, the golden eyes of his fiancé no longer constantly in the back of his mind. He did not bother to worry about who or what Jonghyun was murdering, killing, fucking or harassing. All he cared about was the amount of whipped cream on his cup of chocolate milk that his mom made for him. Mom, revenge demoness and skilled with swords like no other, and dad, fire demon the reason why Minwoo could withstand a decent amount of fire, were both happy that their son had returned home for a short vacation.
It seemed that, for a few days at least, Minwoo could catch a break. On the third day of his self-induced vacation he had decided to go shopping in the market district of his home realm. The realm was one that was crowded with demonic life, while other demon realms close to hell were the home to various dark species, this one was limited to demons, half demons and a few reaper clans on edge of the borders. He used to love the cities and the shops. That was until he had to fight demons to save his lover, but now that he walked through the mass of demons it seemed almost like how it used to be. His eyes were gleaming red, always on the lookout for danger. But he was smiling as well, maybe not all demons were the spawn of Satan. Well they sort of were but that wasn’t the point. Maybe demons weren’t all out to take away Minwoo’s fiancé and ruin their lives. It was a soothing thought.
As the young demon browsed through various gemstones from a demonic saleswoman with blue hair, a young demon girl caught his attention. Her eyes were the lightest shade of caramel possible, and her long black hair had brown tips on the ends. “…Eun Bin?” Minwoo let the diamonds slip from his fingers back onto the table. Breath taken away by the sight of what seemed to be the grown up version of his little lost sister. “Eun Bin?” He repeated, but she didn’t seem to hear him, and walked away through the crowd. His heart pumped his blood frantically as Minwoo dashed off towards what he identified as the vision of his sister. But she was gone, the girl he had seen was nowhere. He called out her name a few times, the long black coat around his shoulders suddenly seeming to conflict with his ability to move. “Eun Bin!?” Where was she? To the left? To the right? He thought he saw black hair with brown. The demon hurried that way, out of the crowd, into a street with fewer people and darker shops. But shrunken human heads held no interest to him, especially not no- He crashed into another demon.
“Oh I am so-“ Minwoo started as he staggered back, rubbing his nose that had been a victim in the crash. But the demon he ran into was familiar. The bright pink outfit could only mean one thing. Maya? What are you doing here? And more importantly did you see a girl, long black hair, about this tall” Minwoo raised his hand to about the height of where his nose stopped. “Brown tips on her locks, light caramel eyes? Pale?”

∂ Be Strong Be Pop ∂ Maya - Kwangmin
Things around this place were awfully quiet. Peaceful. Placid to the point of registering an almost uneventful atmosphere. So how was it that so many of the inhabitants which lumbered about this environment each day were so... at ease? There was no thrill by which to be swept away, nor any form of discernible fun. Of course there were many perceptions of what could and could not be counted as a fair inclusion of this simple three-lettered word, but Maya had his own very straightforward ideals as to his own taste of fun. Ideals by which had thus far gone untouched and unwrapped from the base of his suitcase full of tricks and chaos, but were not far from the hand of their demon puppet-master who was already itching to bring them out into the world for some casual playtime. This school needed some livelihood.
As a prior necessity to bring forth that oh so needed livelihood, similar to the need of batteries for some obsolete toy to find the power to function once more, Maya needed someone. Who was not of importance, nor was gender or even age. Only was it important that there be an able-minded person within his sight for his abilities to coil around most piercingly. Maya enjoyed imagining himself some form of cephalopod, slowly coiling tentacles round an unsuspecting body until they realized just how close they had come to seeing the rise of their imminent death. The boring truth was, however, that he was no such thing. He was a demon of Okami blood and with that came his boundless need for destructive mayhem upon singular souls, one at a time.
It was a weighing factor which determined of the Okami descendant to have begun his stride on snow blanketed grounds of the oh so dreary academy. Hunting, it could have been said, for someone to wrangle into his little game to chase away the boredom and egg the academy into a considerable edge with the news that students, one by one, were becoming targets for the games of a demon. It would ultimately ripple without consequence as it had back in each of those human communities... His name would be reserved with a certain tinge of spite from those not afraid, and with a tremor for those who were. But alas, as he sloshed through each obstructing inch of snowy pathway, the demon was unsure where he would begin to have his fun if a great majority of students were huddling about indoors where the warmth prevailed over the bitter cold. Perhaps, was he to continue along in the direction where he knew the main building was constructed, he would come across some poor chap who was either leaving the building for the dormitories or someone on their way inside for some food.
