“I mean, well, I can make a pretty mean pancake when the mood strikes,” he replied, unsure exactly what else to say. Especially since he thought she was asking about powers, which he didn’t have.

“That, my friend, depends entirely upon the prank.” He was far from above pranks, in fact, despite being an adult, he always could appreciate a tasteful joke. He sat near the younger woman, waiting to hear details.

“Sure thing,” the black haired man said, picking up a stack of tomes. “This is a lot of books, are you reading all of these or do you have like a book club or something?”

“Not a problem, and I could walk with you if you want conversation, I just am not a very interesting person so you’d have to pick a topic and hope I know anything about it!”

“Yeah! Sure thing, filing is probably withing my skill parameters, it wouldn’t be the first time I have participated in that particular area of work,” Orson responded. “Out of curiosity, do you have files on the humans here too or not?”

“Alright! Lead away!” was the chipper response as the man fell into step behind her, ready and willing to assist with pretty much anything at this point. As long as it wasn’t something that required powers, he’d be all for it.

“Unfortunately, no I can’t do that. I can’t really do anything any other standard human can, which means I am pretty much useless here since you all seem to need more than that,” Orson responds with an apologetic smile.

“Hey! Is there anything I can help with? I’m feeling singularly useless at the moment and would love to help in anyway I can.”

Literally all he ever wanted was to help people

He joined the Sentinel Services because he, like so many others, actually believed they were trying to do good for the Mutants.

Literally was a home visit officer for most of his career there. When people suspected they had the X-Gene, he was one of the sunny faces sent to fill out the check list.

After a promotion to a more hands on, field officer type position, he found out what the Services was really up to and was horrified.

Broke several Mutants out of custody, and was able to conveniently misplace a few files. However it didn’t take too long for his superiors to catch on about his extrodinarily high rate of loosing subjects and he was forced to flee for his safety.

He greatly regrets his involvement in the incarceration of innocent Mutants, even though it was not something he was aware of.
