My Favorite Lines of Lyrics from ‘If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power’;
The Tradition // It’s in the blood and this is tradition. Bells in Santa Fe // I don’t really mean it ‘cause who the fuck would choose this? Easier than Lying // My heart is massive, but it’s empty. Lilith // I just fuck things up if you noticed, have you noticed? Tell me, have you noticed? Girl is a Gun // I keep fallin’ in love and this measurin’ cup is overflowin’ with the same damn problems. You asked for this // Go on and be a big girl you asked for this now. Darling // Darlin’, don’t you weep there’s a place for me. 1121 // I won’t die for love but ever since I met you, you could have my heart and I would break it for you. honey // Well, she stings like she means it, she’s mean and she’s mine. Whispers // This is the voice in your head that says, “You do not want this.” This is the ache that says, "You do not want him.” I am not a woman, I’m a god // I am not a martyr, I’m a problem. The Lighthouse // 'Cause I never wanted savin’, I just wanted to be found. Ya’aburnee // I get undertones of sadness when I think about the moments that I never got to spend with you.

mythology moodboards: chang’e, moon goddess (china)
In a very distant past, ten suns had risen together into the skies and scorched the earth, thus causing hardship for the people. The archer Yi shot down nine of them, leaving just one sun, and was given the elixir of immortality as a reward. He did not consume it straight away, but hid it at home, as he did not want to gain immortality without his beloved wife Chang'e. However, while Yi went out hunting, Fengmeng broke into his house and tried to force Chang'e to give him the elixir; she refused and drank it herself. Chang'e then flew upwards towards the heavens, choosing the moon as residence. (source)
