Drop Notice // OOC Post
Hi, it’s Luthier-mun.
I want to apologize for dropping out entirely, haha;;; I seem to have lost my muse for him and I really don’t want to hold on desperately beause I know it’s not going to get better until some of the burden in real life is eased off for a bit.
Perhaps I’ll come back as Luthier again, or maybe I’ll come back as another muse, who knows? But, for now, I need to concentrate on my work in real life.

"Trick-or-Treat! Oh, pardon me. Only if you desire to participate in the festivities, of course!" Eliwood said sheepishly.
Luthier opens the door, a bowl of candy in his arms. His eyebrows shoot almost into his hairline. He wasn’t expecting anyone other than small children. “Oh, Eliwood. Merry Halloween.“
Almost on cue, a black cat brushes against Eliwood’s leg, crooning softly. She looks up at the other man with yellow, lamp-like eyes and almost gives him a lopsided grin. She saunters back to her owner, sits right next to him, and tilts her head with that same almost-lopsided grin.

Where’s The Ending? // OOC Post
I find it a crime that Luthier does not have an ending based on if Delthea lives or dies (It’s also a crime that Delthea doesn’t have a ending change if Lu dies, imo), I mean, it makes sense that Gray/Tobin have changes since those two are required units, But Forsyth/Python do, and technically they aren’t required (I mean I love/hate their changed ending because sad things make me Cry). So, for me, it’s a missed opportunity. So, here’s what I was thinking:
If Delthea lives
Painfully aware of the inadequacy of his magic, Luthier journeyed across the sea. What he did there is unclear, but stories tell of a steady stream of angry ruffians who later came to Valentia with a bone to pick with an eccentric mage...
If Delthea dies
With guilt and grief weighing heavily his heart. Luthier decided it best to leave Valentia in order to become stronger to protect those that he held dear. What he accomplished was rather unclear, and it is said that he never returned to the continent, but stories tell of those he made an enemy out of coming to Valentia with a bone to pick with the eccentric mage...
Or something similar. I was thinking that this ending would apply to both the player killing Delthea at the Sluice Gate (since he already blames himself for that incident) or Delthea dying in battle outside of the Sluice Gate.

“That is very true,“ Luthier nods along with Eliwood’s words. He also didn’t doubt their combined skills for a moment, but there was only so much a mage and another lighter fighter could accomplish on their own. Had there been more travelers in their party with different, heavier, combat skills, they could certainly handle more, if necessary. “A wise thought, naturally. Think smarter, not harder.
"Attempting to seize a hideout would be deadly mission," Luthier states flatly, nodding seriously. "From what Alm said when he took a similar bandit camp, it would be teeming with brigands. Our best course of action would be to mark it on a map for future reference when we would have more in our party and gave recovered our strength."
He takes Eliwood's hand, standing and brushing the dust off his robes. "Finding a secure camping spot is a sound idea; it would be nice to regain our strength to forge on to our final destination."

benevolent-angel:
She knew that Delthea was his little sister and meant the world to him. In truth, she hardly knew her. But she did know how close Luthier and her were. She clutched the back of his robes some and relaxed into him. Feeling the comfort in him being here was more than enough.
“I hope… Emile is alright. I… Won’t venture out there because what if it is just my anxiety telling me it’s worse than what it needs to be. I’m… Sorry I caused a fuss for you.”
Luthier flinches when Mercedes mentions Delthea. He hated thinking about that. He hated thinking about how he’d essentially failed in protecting her from Tartarrah’s control years ago. He’d beaten himself up so harshly, he’d refused to come out of his room for weeks. “I... don’t believe that I’ve told you this, but Delthea has vanished before.”
He lets out a soft sigh with a slight bitter smile. “That was entirely my fault, though. I should have paid closer attention to the going-ons outside of my studies.” He lifts his arm and places it around her shoulders gently. ”But I’m glad that you do keep in touch, or do your best to, with your family. Mila knows how often I write amongst studying and traveling.
“I think he will be alright, with what you’ve told me about him. If you still wish to go and try to seek him, then that’s alright, too, but only if you take necessary precautions and travel safely.“

“Luthier… I need to go home. I need to figure out what’s going on with Emile and why he wouldn’t be at home. Would he have ran away because he and I separated?”
Luthier blinked blankly as she dashed in, caught off guard by it. He shut the door behind her, then turns to face her. Her eyes shone with tears and he sighs, though not in an exasperated way.
“Here.” He offers her his handkerchief, awkwardly. “Dry your eyes and take a few deep breaths, okay?”
He sits on the bed, patting the spot next to him. Truth be told, he still never knew what to do when comforting someone. He supposed that he was better at it when he was younger when he was less detached... but that mattered little now. Dimly, in the back of his mind, he remembered something about Mercedes mentioning Emile at some point, but saying that would only cause more distress, he reasoned.
“If you need to go home to figure out what’s going on, I’m not going to stop you,“ he warns gently. “However, your brother does not strike me as the type to run away for a reason such as that. There may have been a different motive for running away, if that’s the case.”
He winces after the words leave his mouth, aware of how callous they sound. “I’m sorry. I do not mean to alarm you, but I truthfully do not know why.”

Spooky Emblem: Thread Prompts!
Below are a collection of starters to get event-themed threads started. Immerse your muse in the Halloween season, from exploring haunted houses to eating way too much candy!
💀 - Against your muse’s better judgement, your muse accompanies my muse to explore a creepy abandoned shed in the middle of the woods.
👻 - My muse has been cursed! Until the clock strives 6:00am, my muse is a ghost, roaming the streets unseen or heard. Will your muse be frightened or elated by the presence of a mysterious ghost?
🧟 - The zombie apocalypse has finally come. Corpses are rising from the ground, hungry for the living! Your muse manages to barricade themselves in a barn, but the shelter can’t hold out much longer.
🕸 - After hitting up all of the Halloween parties for the night, our muses decide to take a shortcut home. However, in the dark of the night, our muses end up caught in an abnormally large web.
🍬 - Our muses make some spooky-themed treats together. Spider cookies, cupcakes with fingers, ghost suckers…the possibilities are endless!
🌕 - With a large, beautiful full moon above them, our muses become entranced by its radiance, almost as if they were under a spell. The light becomes blinding and when it finally dies down, the two are now in the world of the dead, surrounded by the spirits and ghosts of those who were once among the living!
🎃 - Your muse enters a pumpkin carving contest with my muse! Will they take a fun and casual approach to the competition? Or will they try to best one another?
🏠- Our muses go to a haunted house together! Will the frights and creepy sights send them running? Or will they fail to impress? It’s an ordinary haunted house…right?
🥤- Our muses decide to play a drinking game to make passing out candy all the more entertaining. How long until they are too drunk to pass out candy?
😨 - My muse is absolutely convinced they saw a spector standing outside their window, tapping on the glass with a twisted smile. Terrified, my muse turns to your muse for help!
👯 - Your muse works for a haunted house, putting together the creepiest displays, performing as an actor, and otherwise making it a frightful experience! When my muse is challenging to scare, your muse pulls out all the stops!
#ask: starter#ferpxspookyemblem#//hi hello I am not dead#//sorry for vanishing;;; I'll to get to threads this weekend or soon in general

let-flayn-cook:
She was pleasantly surprised when the blanket was drawn over her, taking the opportunity to nudge closer to read some of the text, accidentally resting her leg against his. While Flayn had said she was content without cover, it was deeply appreciated. “How very interesting! I’m a magic user myself. I never knew there were so many different forms.” Though the concept of destroying one’s self just for the sake of magic sounded.. ever so painful and so fruitless. “I assume you are from Valentia then? Based upon your knowledge of their magic? I’m from Fodlan and it is.. not nearly so painful to use our form of magic.” It was rather limited, the less skilled you were but it seemed like a fair price in comparison. Then she remembered that she had not even introduced herself, and there she was, sat up next to him, reading his book. “I’m Flayn and I’m a healer from Fodlan, if you’d like, I could teach you about our magic!” She beamed up at him, happy to make a new friend.
"It's something that I've been studying for a long while, now," he says proudly, the corners of his mouth quirking upwards into a small smile. "While I want to hone my own abilities, magic fascinates me. Being able to tap into the different energies is... Exhilarating, really."
At the mention of the difference of spellcasting, Luthier’s ears perk up. “That’s rather interesting. Is it a physical limit? Can you push the limit? Or...?” the trails off, thinking deeply, staring sightless at the book. He blinks when she introduces herself, feeling the tips of his ears grow warm with embarrassment.
“I am Luthier, a mage from Valentia,“ the corners of his mouth quirk up slightly into a small smile. “I would enjoy learning about your magic.“

4th wall
The mun and their muse lounged in the main sitting room, one on their PC and the other reading one of the many books on the bookshelf. No words were exchanged between the two of them, both simply existing in relative peace and quiet.
Luthier sat up, snapping the book shut. He glances over at the mun, who was clacking away, typing something for one of their classes. They adjust their glasses absently, then look in his direction.
“Did… you need something? There’re snacks in the pantry, if you’re hungry,” they offer him, trying to figure out what he wanted or if he was simply moving around to move around.
“Oh, no, thank you. I am good.“ Luthier shakes his head, puts the book away on the shelf, and then comes over to the mun. He leans on the back of the chair, causing them to swat at him ineffectually. He read the first few lines of their paper. “Is this for one of your classes?“
“What else would it be for?“ They quirk an eyebrow at him, then turn back to their paper. “It’s due in a few days and I need to get it done before I forget about it.“
“Oh.“
“It has to be a certain amount of pages, too. And words.“
“Oh.“
“Yeah.“
He pats their shoulder in a sort-of reassuring way. “Well, good luck with that.”
“Thanks.“

“Luthier, please, I need to speak with you, it’s important!”
Normally she would never dare bother him after class was over, but she needed to talk with him. He knew some about her family, but, with the disappearance of Emile, she needed to go home and look for him.
@excalibursage
The Royal School of Sorcery was one of the more interesting places Luthier visited in his travels to study magic. He’d established himself as a wandering sage, and enrolled himself into the program. He was glad that he did; so far, he’s learned so much compared to the tomes he’s been reading.
After his morning classes, he’d retired to his room, hoping to get in some studying and start working on that paper that he needed to get done by the day after tomorrow. He sat down at his desk, dipping one of the few unbroken quills into his inkwell, which was diminishing at an alarming rate. Get more quills and ink, he thought to himself, pulling a sheet of parchment closer so that he could write his paper.
Upon hearing the banging at his door, Luthier looked up. Who in Mila’s name would want to speak with him at this hour? He had things to study, and he really didn’t appreciate the interruption. He sighs heavily enough so that it was audible through the door, and glances at his scattered papers, books, and broken quills. If this was simply a social call, then whoever it was would be getting an earful.
“A moment, please,” he calls through the door, plunking his quill into the inkwell and closing his book. He sweeps some pieces of paper into messy stacks, and throws the broken quills into the bin. It looked presentable enough. He places his hand on the doorknob. “If this is another social call, I don’t have the ti-”
What he didn’t expect when he opened the door was a rather upset Mercedes, clutching a letter that could only mean a few things, and none of them were good.
“Oh... Mercedes.“ He stands in the doorway awkwardly, regretting his earlier annoyance. He opens the door wider, inviting her to enter his room. “Please, come in. I’m sorry for snapping at you earlier; I didn’t mean it.“

Luthier smiles softly through his hair. Though nothing could truly get rid of his feeling of inadequacy, hearing that someone else goes through similar troubles is a balm to his nerves. He's glad that he met Eliwood; the lord's patience and kindness (with the strength necessary to be taken seriously) impresses him each time they speak.
He glances at his arm wound, prodding it experimentally to ensure that it was sealed. He grimaces at the pain, but there really wasn't much he could do about that. "I hope that isn't true. I can deal with a few bandits here or there, but coordinated attacks would likely require more than just the two of us to quell."
He hadn't put too much thought to the attacks, though it wasn't something that he would think about on a daily basis. It was true that they were encountering more groups lately. "Could it be that we're nearing a hideout with these bandits and we're running into more patrols? Once, the Deliverance encountered a shrine that thieves had taken over as their base of operations."

the-savior-king:
Once again, Dimitri was snapped back to reality. Only this time it sent off his fight-or-flight instincts. With one swift motion, he pointed his lance towards the source of the sound. He quickly realized that it wasn’t an intruder but just a mage.
Dimitri lowered his weapon with an embarrassed look on his face. “I should be apologizing! I meant in no way to cause you harm! I did not hear you enter so you just… caught me off guard, is all.”
Carefully setting his lance aside, the young prince walked over and began picking up the scattered equipment. “Allow me to help you then. It is the least I can do to make-up for my rude greeting. I’m Dimitri, by the way.”
Luthier jumped, eyeing the tip of the weapon pointed in his direction. It wasn’t exactly the first time he’s been on the receiving end of a sharp, pointed object, but it still wasn’t the most fun sensation in the world. He felt energy spark to his fingertips, ready to cast a spell (as a distraction though; it was his fault that he startled him) if need be.
When the other lowered the lance, Luthier visibly relaxed, releasing the energy with a sigh and a shake of his hand. “No, it’s my fault. I shouldn’t have knocked over the boxes and startled you.”
Luthier turned back the the boxes, righting one and picking up some items. “Thank you. It’s good to meet you, Dimitri. It doesn’t look as though everything was spilled out, which is good. Er... sorry to interrupt your training, though.”
