theory time:

so we know that Moritsuka has been talking to somebody over the phone from the very beginning of the series, and they use a secret line so that the call wouldn’t be detected by ‘the enemy’ (probably some kind of organisation) and in episode 7, he just said the words ‘el psy kongroo’

now, we might think that this was just a reference to Steins;Gate since both Occultic;Nine and Steins;Gate are part of the same universe (and Moritsuka is a big otaku, so he might just be referencing to Steins;Gate?)

but remember how Okarin from Steins;Gate was constantly ‘on the phone’ with someone talking about hiding from some evil organisation, referring to himself as an ‘agent’ (just like Moritsuka does) and always signing off by saying ‘el psy kongroo’?

all along we thought that it was just one of his ‘mad scientist antics’ because he wasn’t actually calling anyone as pointed out by Kurisu in episode 1

but guys

what if

Okarin and Moritsuka Shun were talking to each other all along?! 

I mean, it’s technically possible, since both stories take place in the same universe?!

This is just a speculation of course and maybe it’s just the anime studio messing with us but it certainly seems… suspicious, to say the least(especially if you consider that Steins;Gate 0 is coming up).
