MINOR SPOILERS FOR DELTARUNE CH. 4

So, my dreams kinda blip around a lot. Like TV channels or like an A plot B plot on a show, so most of the time I’ll be able to piece some kind of narrative together, but several times there’ll just be two seemingly random plots going on at once. This was one of those nights.

At some point during my dreams, there’s just a hard cut to like. What I think is some kind of opera setup?? But I think it might just be my brain’s way of altering pixel art into “oh yeah, fluid motion”. It looks like the first Chapter 4 Dark World, but it’s different. Like, a mix of all the bells and stained glass with some sort of black ballroom. It’s just Kris and presumably the soul, sort of like how weird routes make you sort of isolate yourself to see things. And there’s a piano sort of like the one Kris plays in that chapter. There’s a shadowy figure with a long flowing spiked cape just playing this soft, almost waltz-like tune. It sounds kinda sad? I’m not really a music major; I’m not sure how to describe it. When Kris gets close enough, it stops, slowly turns its head, and a textbox comes up and says “Hello old friend, care for a dance?” And then a yes or no option. "Yes" was selected, and the shadow figure says, “Very well.”

At this point, instead of Kris removing their soul, it just. It physically leaves of its own accord, nonviolently. Like it knows Kris needs to face or do this without our input (I should note here that it's not an automatic script thing either; you physically have to move with the WASD keys to move and leave). It goes and takes the shadow figure's place at the piano. Standing up, the figure is taller than Kris, but it almost feels similar. It takes off the cloak, and it flutters away with this sort of animation that makes it look like a butterfly wing. Its hair looks long, and there are these long curved horns on top of its head, kinda like asgore or asriel’s god of hyper death horns. The cloak kinda had a similar pulsating pattern that Hyper Death’s wings had too. But yeah, after that, they just have this waltz together. The same tune from before is much more powerful with other instruments joining in as Kris and this Figure twirl and dance about the floor. I can't really tell what emotion it is. I wanna say sad? Dark? I'd have to really recreate the tune, I think, to convey it. At the very end, when the song seems to be over, the Figure steps back, seemingly bows down on one knee before a textbox says “Thank you”. It then seemingly just. Disintegrates? Dissolves? Fades away? Either way, it’s gone, and in its place is an item: the Prismatic Cloak. It can seemingly only be worn by Kris whenever you return to the rest of the party. If you go to Gerson's shop later in the chapter, he remarks about the Prismatic Cloak along the lines of "Ah, that odd feller finally found a witness to it's masterpiece? That's nice. Make sure you take good care of that cloak there, it's a high honor to receive it."

I'm not really sure what to think about all of this. I don't think its the Roaring Knight, but it doesn't feel like anything else seen so far?

I do like that Minecraft horror mods exist because they all seem to be “creepy monster attacks you and makes loud noise.” Because I am 100% sure that the scariest shit you could do in Minecraft is make the game function slightly Wrong
