kate bush : hounds of love album … sentence starters
“It’s you and me.”
“It doesn’t hurt me.”
“You must wake up!”
“Oh, come on, angel.”
“I know your face well.”
“I love you better, now.”
“I’m still afraid to be there.”
“You don’t wanna hurt me.”
“I’ve always been a coward.”
“And I’d love to hold you, now.”
“Let me be weak, let me sleep.”
“Wake up, child! Pay attention!”
“Please be kind to my mistakes.”
“I can’t be left to my imagination.”
“You can’t hear what I am to you.”
“Do you wanna feel how it feels?“
“I don’t know what’s good for me.”
“The world was not cruel, but kind.”
“Oh, there is thunder in our hearts.”
“Tell me, we both matter, don’t we?”
“We’re looking at the big sky, honey.”
“I should have been home hours ago.”
“It’s coming for me, through the trees.”
“When you stand next to me, it’s all right.”
“You don’t hear what I’m saying, do you?”
“It’s you and me, baby, against the world.”
“I don’t know you and you don’t know me.”
“Let me steal this moment from you, now.”
“Oh, help me, someone, help me, please!”
“What made it special made it dangerous.”
“Get out of the waves, get out of the water!“
“I need to know what you have to say to me.”
“I don’t know what you are looking for in me.”
“It’s all right, darling, we can do this together.”
“Do you wanna know that it doesn’t hurt me?”
“But just saying it could even make it happen.”
“But every time it rains, you’re here in my head.”
“You never understood me. You never really tried.”
“I don’t know what I want, but my heart is leading.”
“I just know that something good is gonna happen!”
“Do you wanna hear about the deal that I’m making?”
“It’s not easy for me to give away a secret. It’s not safe.”
“There’s a ghost in our home, just watching you without me.”
“When I was a child, I was running in the night, afraid of what might be.”
“She knows that I’ve been doing something wrong, but she won’t say anything.”
“And if I only could, I’d make a deal with God, and I’d get him to swap our places.”

*crashes through the door* Okay, okay, Crowley. Sneck tendencies, yeah? Hisses sometimes if he's not thinking about it, doesn't blink much. So there's this bit of fanart, pure crack, showing a Crowley shaped skin sleeve. Ya know, like he sheds his skin even as a human. But you know me. Cute but a bit silly innit? But what if he does have skin problems in his kinda-sorta mortal form? Nothing severe, but like he definitely has to moisturize. Oh man, this was so much more clever in my head, but now that I've written it out, it's kind of stupid lmao.

January is a practice month. February is the real beginning of any year lol. Sorry, I've been kinda having some...I wouldn't say health issues per ce, just discovering what I suspect is a side effect of being on an amphetamine based adhd medication. Pretty sure I've been blessed with a light case of bruxism and been in varying degrees of pain and preoccupation with how to handle it until my dental appointment comes up. I bought a mouth guard to sleep in and it seems to help considerably.

It's been awhile since I updated a chapter of this fic I've got more or less settled in my head, so like I really wanna get to that this week, but also drafts or something I fucking swear. A thousand things i could say you know, but I think it's just been a January with psychotic weather, and still getting used to be medicated and my stronger glasses prescription. Migraines and nausea, baby. Good times, fun times! But at least my brain does things I want it to do now instead of flitting around like a moth dipped in cocaine.

I used to think i was nervous about writing straight couples cos I'm like...idek, it's all you see in fiction most the time so maybe I'm just over it, but i think it's more like...I don't write the hets as a heterosexual. I'm painfully queer (bisexual, non-binary, highly skeptical of heterosexuality being the default state of human desire but uhhhhh...look I don't wanna get into those weeds here) and I think that's really obvious. So i guess sometimes I worry about putting someone off because even when i write m/f I'm not writing it from cultural standards or roles. If that makes sense????

Okay, but since I'm on a thinking about meta shit roll, you ever notice how in Buffy and Angel, the bad guys, weirdos, and anyone going through something (ie: Buffy in s6) are kinky? What's up with that?

wonder what's going on in Daredevil comics these days. I feel off hard because it got a bit grimdark for my tastes (and I'm a big dumb barely recovered Goth that likes a song to feel like being threatened at knifepoint). Also like? Let me make it clear. I'm pretty neutral to MatElektra. I like to see it well written, but also if i don't see it at all, I'm not going to shed a tear. My larger issue with the ship is that a lot of writers seem to think Elektra is "right" as an assassin or vigilante willing to kill. It honestly reminds me of the truly bizarre notion that the more ethically ambiguous or blood thirsty superheros are the ones doing it right. Like idek, fam, say what you will about Batman beating up the mentally ill (which is highly reductive, but i don't run a Batman blog thank fuck, and am not obligated to rant on that lmao), but at least they're still alive. Maybe i'll poke around the fandom this weekend.

I continue to be amused that Crowley's expressions range from open and clear (because I'm still wildly obsessed with Tennent's ability to emote behind dark glasses while seeing next to nothing between said glasses and contacts) to 😒

I LOVE. having multiple threads with my rp partners !! it’s like on some days i feel like writing long stuff, on others i feel more like writing short stuff, sometimes i’d rather write some intense situations, and other times i’m more in the mood for lighthearted topics. having several different types of threads with a person enables me to keep rping with them even if i’m stuck @ a reply for another thread we’re having !! it’s great, honestly !? if you wanna have 1 more thread or 20 more threads /w me that’s 10/10 👌👌👌👌 just write that starter or send an ic ask & we’ll go from there or hmu for plotting k man i love threads i love writing all the things

"Dunno sounds like you're playing directly into my hand."
The casual thrill of his dominance left Crowley with a sense of anticipation. It made his stomach clench and he felt hungry in a way he couldn't quite articulate. He craved how Aziraphale was looking down at him, expressive eyes hard and voice softly stern. Crowley leaned back in his chair, attitude as languid and insolent as ever.
Aziraphale's thumb resting against his throat made him sigh, the only indication of his increasing arousal. Seemed the game was looking for the boundary between being a brat and a prick. It could be tricky, but Crowley usually managed capably. However Aziraphale seemed a bit more prickly tonight, so he might have to take it a bit easier on him. Not that he thought Aziraphale would give him the same courtesy, but that was half the fun, now wasn't it?
"Go on then," Crowley grinned, gaze feverish as he gripped Aziraphale's belt to tug him in closer. "Put me in my place."
Oh, the nerve! If the angel had had his wings out, the feathers would have bristled with indignation. He imagined the demon, who at this very moment was reminding him so much of what made him demonic, at the receiving end of a rather divine retribution while he lay prone and trapped beneath his weight. See how he'd thank him then.
Tumblr media
"You're being difficult on purpose, my dear boy." Aziraphale got up and patted Crowley on the shoulder. During his tenure as Warlock's tutor Crowley had taken to wearing handsome shirts and neckties. There was even a blazer, cut as sharply as a spear point and certainly far more expensive than a humble tutor ought to have been able to afford. Aziraphale didn't realise how he missed the open collars and that infuriating chain around his neck until his thumb grazed dangerously close to Crowley's exposed throat.
"I won't play into your hand but you will thank me later."

I'm still really disappointed with the fact that it's not more explicit that Crowley forms his clothing willfully. It does exist when he's not wearing it but only as Crowley remembers it, at least as Neil has explained it. In the book the phrase used was "from the firmament", which is such a gloriously complex way of putting it. Honestly, it's everything I love about the book. There's something so interesting about the way language is used. Like there are certain phases I think about, like the bit about Crowley's shoes (basically describing them as snakeskin but also implying that maybe they're not, having it been established that he'd once taken the form of a snake and still has snakelike tendencies and features, such as not blinking very often, having serpentine eyes, and sometimes hisses 's' sounds when he's forgets himself). It fosters the reader's imagination as much as it describes. Anyway, I think it's neat and I do use it a lot in writing him and my head canons. (ex: A very silly one about Crowley and instagram and driving his followers crazy by not listing designers of his clothing. His only reply, when he bothers to interact, is a terse "bespoke". ) There is a deleted scene from s1 of Crowley going about his day that apparently features a neat bit of stronger implication that shows Crowley going from one room to the next, changing from having bed head and wearing pajamas to being fully dressed and perfectly coiffed in the next moment. I really appreciate that. Like I really don't need any complex sfx about it, just a cheeky edit, y'know?

Not me feeling my Crowley muse while I'm re-editing his bases because I'm a fucking idiot and didn't do it the first time around. I might just have an unhinged moment with head canons cos I swear I am so unwell about this demon. I hate the word blorbo, but he is indeed my fucking blorbo.
