I began this new sculpt today which is the beginning of a hummingbird. I want the bird to be a part of a duality piece I’m working on. The duality set will have this bird, along with a small set of hands that look like they are hand signaling a bird.

Here is my hand along with a bowl with ravioli, this is part of an installation piece I have been working on. The hand is made to hold a fork which will be going into a different bowl The ravioli are all hand built and formed as well

Here is another dish I have started on for my installation piece. This dish is meant to be a bit more stylized and will hold tide pods. Once the entire set is finished the fork will be in the dish full of tide pods instead of the dish with ravioli. This is meant to be a bit of social commentary on what is currently happening amongst our youth

This is currently the starting point of my logo for design class. This was conceptualized by myself and drawn in an app by a friend. I will take this and turn it into an official logo for use for my company Drowned Boy. We are also currently making this into a mask for me to use personally.

After one week of drawing solid shapes and matching the colors in my picture to this image here is the result. The background will be chroma keyed out and changed. I am in love with how this turned out and will definitely use it in the future.

In computer design I will be redrawing this image. We are to simplify it with shapes filled with solid colors. If all goes well this should recreate the picture with an interesting flair. I am very excited to try out this style as I think I may use it more personally.

Here is the raw casting of the chestpiece. This was a thin test casting we did out of the mold. Some parts came out slightly misshapen due to a slightly dirty mold and the latex sticking to itself. Overall a decent casting that will be utilized

Here is the mask that will accompany the chestpiece I made. The mask was sculpted out of monster makers clay on a head armature. Liquid latex was then brushed onto the sculpt to create a copy of the sculpture in a wearable rubber. The dangling whiskers were made by brushing a line of latex on a sheet and rolling it up diagonally. The mask was then painted with a mix of acrylic and latex paints and sealed with plastidip

So here is the behemoth mold I did of my “Frenchie” chestpiece. This piece was sculpted out of clay and casted in plaster. Soon I will be pouring this thing full of monster makers latex so I can get a nice positive out of it. After that I’ll be painting it up and attaching straps. This will be a fully wearable piece by the end of my process

Today I’ll be showing a piece I’m working on for 3D design. This is a piece I will be molding and casting as a part of a costume I am working on. This will be molded with plaster and casted in latex, it should yield a pretty large piece. This will be worn on the chest of my next costume oderus Urungus.

This week I created more design pots for my series. Many of these pots were vastly different than the previous pieces. These are much thicker and more so explore the different forms. Pieces of randomly cut clay were embellished along the outside of the pots.

This week I have a pic of a casting of a sculptural piece Im working on. This design is meant to be more geometric and abstract. I folded pieces of foam core board to roughly the shape I wanted to make the sculpture. We then poured in large amounts of plaster and waited for it to dry. Afterwards I pulled the piece and cleaned up the edges with a box cutter

This week we have a partial completion of my design cups. This is the first half of my project set. I plan to do a few different style designs soon but for now I wanted some with similarities. Can't wait to get these bad boys fired and glazed.

Here i have an update on my 3-d sculpture. This piece is made of thick acrylic, with added pieces. The project was to construct a solid form, which I did and then added pieces. The piece is meant to be touched, with each surface having a different material. This project turned out differently than I planned and I am not super happy about it

This week i am presenting another ceramic piece. This piece was to be constructed out of at least two pinch pots then joined. I made mine out of three pots total, all abstract made and joined in different pieces. I twisted and pulled to create abstract forms. I then joined all 3 and made smooth transitions between all.

Here we have the beginning on my 3d design solid form project. I essentially had some leftover acrylic from other projects at home I planned on gluing together randomly to create an abstract piece. I have done so and plan to add more to make one solid form. I them plan to paint the entire thing. After painting I will add different things to each plane to create different feeling materials. I know I will have some sandpaper, some carpet, and other stuff as well. This piece is meant to be experienced, not just looked at.
