Muse, Art, Science, Space, Patterns. Serendipity. Look for something, find something else, and realize that what you've found is more suited to your needs than what you thought you were looking for. One aspect of serendipity to bear in mind is that you have to be looking for something in order to find something else. - Lawrence Block What's 555? Divine Countenance

I was skeptical because this is truly my all time favourite muse song, and I know when bands remaster/remix its either basically the same with a few minor changes or completely different with a skittering drum beat in the background. This, however, was perfect. I've always loved the song for how it has so many sections, it shows the bands capabilities, Matt as a pianist and a guitarist AND as a singer. Dom showing off how he can do a heavy rock song and then follow Matt along with the slower sections. Chris beautifully matching the bass in every gorgeous subtlety.
The remix kept this, without adding anything too shocking but it was definitely a remix. Guitar parts mixed up, bass part pushed forward ever so slightly, the drums were refined, less background noise. Its different, and I'm so glad that they've been able to do that.
I love Muse TRULY because, much like Radiohead, they keep to themselves and change with what feels right. This demonstrates their change and their maturity since OOS but has kept intact the original beauty of this song that I fell in love with as a little boy when I was about 5 listening to this masterpiece for the frst time.
Hearing it again but remixed, sat in my room with my eyes closed, I felt like I was experiencing it all over again.
Beautiful, truly did the song justice, I love this band.

I’ve seen this photo around for ages. Can someone please explain the phantom arm? Is Dom’s left arm the one with the watch across his chest or the one lifted over his head? It can’t be both... and it can’t be Matt’s other hand.... EXPLAIN IT TO ME PLZ!

So Dom does the album artwork right? Cause the similarity here..

Origin of Muse
Pre-orders were just announced and the box set goes on sale Dec. 6...
Which is great and all, but what am I supposed to do with all of those CD's? Go down to the antique store and ask if anyone has even seen a CD player in the last ten years?

“When you feel perpetually unmotivated, you start questioning your existence in an unhealthy way; everything becomes a pseudo intellectual question you have no interest in responding whatsoever. This whole process becomes your very skin and it does not merely affect you; it actually defines you. So, you see yourself as a shadowy figure unworthy of developing interest, unworthy of wondering about the world - profoundly unworthy in every sense and deeply absent in your very presence.”

Satellites capture historic images of 2019 Solar Eclipse.
Visible to Earthlings only along a narrow band of Chile and Argentina, Earth’s first total solar eclipse since 2017 crossed the Southern hemisphere Tuesday, July 2nd, 2019. Satellites orbiting both the Earth and Moon captured historic, never-before-seen images of the eclipse from their unique space-based vantage points.
NOAA’s GOES-West satellite, orbiting 24,000 miles above the Equator, captured the shadow of the Moon racing eastwards towards Chile and Argentina, while the Category 5 Hurricane Barbara can be seen to the north.
A quarter of a million miles further away, China’s DSLWP-B satellite captured the Moon’s shadow on a rising Earth while the limb of the Moon itself was visible in the foreground. This is the first time that an eclipse’s shadow has been visible on Earth while the Moon itself is in the same photo.
The illuminated western hemisphere is clearly visible, with the Southern Pacific and South America visible near the Moon’s shadow. A portion of North America and the Florida peninsula is visible among clouds in the northern hemisphere.

Black Holes Are Real And Spectacular, And So Are Their Event Horizons
“Originally estimated to be slightly larger than its M87 counterpart, the black hole at the center of the Milky Way — known as Sagittarius A* — has not yet had its event horizon imaged. When you observe the Universe, you don’t always get what you expect; sometimes, you get what it gives you. Instead, it was M87’s black hole that came through first, which was a much brighter and a much cleaner signal.
What we’ve found is spectacular. Those dark pixels at the center of the image are actually the silhouette of the event horizon itself. The light that we observe comes from the accelerated, heated matter around it, which must emit electromagnetic radiation. Where the matter exists, it emits radio waves, and the dark circle we see is where the background radio waves are blocked by the event horizon itself.”
We have an event horizon, folks! It wasn’t the one at the center of our galaxy that came through first, but rather the one at the center of Messier 87: a black hole over 1,000 times more massive, but some 2,000 times farther away, than the one contained in the Milky Way. This is an ultramassive black hole that’s almost the size of the entire Solar System, and its event horizon is real.
Come get the full story on what we know, now that we have our image, about black holes in the aftermath of the Event Horizon Telescope!
