Hazel- “Sorry you got stuck with me, I bet you wanted to be with Annabeth.”

Percy- “Have you ever played a game with Annabeth?”

Hazel- “No?”

Percy- Have you ever gone into a steel cage with a wolverine?”

On the other side of the forest.

Annabeth- Faster, Faster, Faster! Do you not know that word? It means more fast!”

Frank- “Stop yelling at me.”

Annabeth- *pulling Frank by the collar so they’re nose to nose* “Hey! You’ll know when I’m yelling at you.”

After they get back to camp after the events of The Lighting Thief:

Annabeth: Percy, you did a good job on this quest.

Percy: Really, you’re not messing with me?

Annabeth: Not at all. In fact I was starting to think I might never get the chance to give this to you. *pulls out a sticker and puts it on his shirt* Good job.

Percy: you’re giving me a sticker?

Annabeth: Not just a sticker. That is a sticker of a kitty saying “Me-wow!”

Percy: I’m not a preschooler.

Annabeth: Fine, I’ll take it back.

Percy: I earned this, back off!

Annabeth: So what are we gonna do today?

Thalia: They have a game room downstairs, I think they have ping-pong and stuff.

Annabeth to Percy: Honey, they have ping-pong! Let’s play!

Percy: I don’t think so.

Annabeth: Why not?

Percy: Because you know how competitive you get, and while I say it’s cute, others disagree and I’m lying.

Annabeth: I’m not always that bad.

Percy: Oh yeah, what happened when we played last time?

Annabeth quietly: I punched you.

Percy: And?

Annabeth: Grover.

Grover: And?

Annabeth: I clunked your heads together.
