It's an animated TV show! It was one of my favorites as a kid, and so I'm not sure it's "good" per se, but it's nostalgic for me. For names, I've also heard it as "Godzilla (1978 TV series)" and "Godzilla and Godzooky."
Any opinions on Godzilla Power Hour (1978-1980) featuring Godzilla's nephew Godzuki?
i actually have never heard of this yet!
im mostly familiar with the modern godzilla iterations (monsterverse, shin, earth, singular point; no minus one yet though but i really wanna see this movie) and with the movies prior to that ive only seen godzilla 1954 and 1985, as well as attack all monsters and vs detroyah so far. my intention is to try and watch the movies in order of release as much as possible meaning next up is godzilla raids again
so its gonna take a bit to get to 1978-1980 sjwkshakdgs
so yeah no opinions and never ever heard of it until now either!

If I had no context for or prior knowledge of what a monkey is, and I saw a monkey, I'm not sure I would recognize it as a beaft. I think I'd wonder where this hairy, violent child's parents had wandered off to.

“average Master is a bad person" factoid actualy just statistical error. average Master is 0 bad a year. Masters Nikos, who lives in Montreal & is over 10,000 bad each day, is an outlier adn should not have been counted
LIKE and REBLOG if you think that Masters are objectively bad people

Many computer systems use a counter to determine internal time. Starting in Jan 1 1970, it ticks up every second. Many systems use a 32-bit system, which will fill up on 19 Jan 2038, which could cause serious problems, so people are advocating for a switch to 64-bit. This will run out of space in over two hundred billion years, which is far enough in the future to not matter, but the post is jokingly taking it seriously.
be wary of the 64-bit overflow epoch error

It’s the symbol of the Atomwaffen Division, a fascist organization. A normal radioactivity symbol should be fine, but the shield with the corner taken out of it probably isn’t.

Now, to be fair, Dr. D tends to do pretty well conquering the world, and has done so at least twice in alternate timelines that I remember. It’s just The Tri-State Area, with its anomalous P&F and Perry, that stop him. With them out of the way, he tends to just win.
Random headcanon: the reason that Peach and Bowser don’t seem to get a lot of respect in some Super Mario games is because the Mushroom Kingdom is kind of a rural backwater and isn’t terribly important or influential politically, so people tend to regard Bowser as a C-list villain for being so hung up on such an insignificant conquest. Nobody really expects Bowser to be a serious threat – that would be like expecting a guy whose main claim to fame is repeatedly failing to conquer Wyoming to be a serious threat – so they get taken by surprise every single time.

Let’s say you’re a would-be 2024 Republican presidential candidate. There’s a crowded field alongside Donald Trump, the 800-pound gorilla.
What’s your strategy?
Pretty easy to see Republican Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley’s: All you have to do is look at his plan, announced Dec. 30, to formally object to the Jan. 6 Electoral College count certifying Joe Biden’s election.
Like every Republican hopeful not named “Trump,” Hawley has been pondering how to jump the competition — and what to do about the party’s leader who consumes all the political oxygen in the room?
Hawley’s answer: Tie yourself to Trump’s mast. Trump has an ocean of followers. For Republican primary contenders, it’s sink or sail in that sea.
But suppose Trump runs?
You can’t afford to worry about that if you hanker to be president. You better be willing to spend the next three years — and your donors’ money — aggressively campaigning. If Trump doesn’t run, you’re ready. If he does run, you’ve invested in 2028.
And let’s face it. Trump isn’t all that likely to run. In 2023, he may be enjoying private life while still controlling the GOP; he may be making too much money from owning a new cable network and starring in his own show — or he may be unable to hold campaign rallies if the Adirondack Correctional Facility in upstate New York doesn’t issue weekend furloughs…
As a lawyer, Hawley is aware that 50 or 60 courts have rejected the claims of election fraud. The business of courts is determining facts. Hawley’s willingness to abandon facts marks him. His explanations are makeweights for naked opportunism and his real motive: He wants Trump’s blessing should Trump not seek the 2024 Republican nomination.
Hawley, a former Missouri attorney general, might best consider how heeling to Trump’s erratic agenda paid off for former U.S. Attorneys General Jeff Sessions and Bill Barr. They ended in Trump’s trash bin.
