Buying an apartment is one of the largest investments in human life. However, most people do not have enough money to acquire the property. Therefore, they apply to the bank for a mortgage. What is a mortgage lending Mortgage lending A mortgage loan is a bank loan secured by a pledge of real estate. Under the agreement, the client immediately becomes the owner of the home. But, if he violates the terms of the contract, the bank can seize the property, sell it, and send the proceeds to repay the debt. The average market value of a house varies in different states from 150 to 200 thousand dollars. Despite the fairly affordable housing prices, many Americans, not wanting to lay out the sum of the cost of real estate in a single payment, take a mortgage for a period of 30 years. This makes it possible to monthly give the minimum part of their income to repay the loan, and not to be in austerity. Of course, in the aggregate, the amount paid on interest for such a huge period of time will significantly exceed the interest on the loan for a period of 10 years. A mortgage for a period of 30 years at a 5% interest rate will cost the borrower twice the value of the property.
