Sorry but then all these other alleged friends (I mean, you were invited to that event, they had to be your friends too) in front of which they made out... they all knew he was cheating on you (since they openly made out in front of them), and none of them told you anything?!??!! I'd kill them with spikes for you, girl

Also, I understand your best friend telling you to be careful if this guy wants nothing serious+is your friend (you may have to give up on one of the other thing doesn't work), but indeed no man usually wants something serious from the get go. They usually dance around wanting it until their feet bleed from so much time dancing or they're dying of jealousy, even when they're the "steady" kind of personality. It's like society makes men feel less manly or too vulnerable for wanting steadiness from the get go. I often wonder if this is the case, another way in which the sexist values of society show themselves in ordinary everyday experiences. Okay so. Okay so. If you're me, and you have been dancing around this guy who is your friend but you're like. No, I don't have any uni friends left, I shouldn't date him. We were in the club, they didn't know I was in the club (for a friend's birthday), they made out at the bar, I happened to be right there, it was. It was so awful. incredibly awful.

I did nearly throw up!!!! Freaked out, left immediately, best friend tried to follow, had to tell her to stay, couldn't see another human; apparently called or texted my mother, not sure what I said, freaked her OUT, she made family friend that's a therapist call me, did not freak her out, she was great. It was A LOT! It was a whole time!!! Saw them making out in FRONT OF ME!! But still, we persist.
