Yeah, before weight saving tech like endo-steel or XL engines 40 tons is kind of an unfortunate tonnage breakpoint where they're too heavy to be effective at light mech stuff, but don't have enough tonnage to be effective at medium mech stuff. So a lot of the time they just end up with all the bad parts of either weight class and none of the good parts. 60 tons is similar. I still think they're fun though, and at the very least they usually end up having low BV costs for their weight class.

Finished another lance of mercenaries for Battletech, with a Crusader, a Marauder, a Cyclops, and a Catapult.

Finished painting a lance of mercenary mechs, with an Ostsol, a Nightsky, a Griffin, and a Wolfhound. I really liked the color scheme of the mechs on the 40th anniversary Beginner Box and AGOAC box sets and I wanted to paint up a merc company in a similar scheme.

Got a group shot of all the pairs of mechs I painted for the intro games project I was working on. I'm liking how they all turned out, and was a good way to test out different color schemes and try to come up with different accenting details to make them stand out from each other.

Finished the final pair of mechs I was making for my little Battletech Intro game project. This time a Panther and a Catapult. I will try to get a group shot of all of them soon.

Finished painting a Jenner and Crusader for Battletech.

Got a 3d printer some time ago and decided to break it in with some Battletech stuff. I made a bunch of pairs of 1 heavy and 1 light that I plan on using for intro games since my lgs doesn't have much of a Battletech group.

Finished painting some kitbashed Hive Scum for Necromunda. Used parts from the Frostgrave Cultists kit, the Stargrave Scavengers kit, and some resin bits from MadRobotMinis, also one Orlock head.

Took a bit of a break from painting that ended up going longer than it probably should have, but got back to it and finished painting Ragnir Gunnstein, the Squat Ammojack for Necromunda.
