Climate Change and what I know of it
- climate is the weather patterns over the course of 15 years
- climate change IS real but is greatly over exaggerated
- north America is not the leading cause of greenhouse gases or CO, that's places like India and China
- climate change at its most basic is just a very general phrase that has been warped into a scary end of the world scenario
- the climate WILL CONTINUE TO CHANGE whether the planet gets warmer, colder, or more of both extremes in their respective seasons
- we should all do our part to take care of the earth via recycling, making better emissions choices, and generally consuming less
- taxes don't help anyone except greedy politicians
- wind turbines are a wonderful idea but should be scaled down to avoid killing birds
- solar power should be a standard on every home built from 2020 onwards
- collecting rain water should be encouraged by the government, not taxed and regulated
- living off the land should be encouraged
As far as I'm concerned, climate change IS A problem, but not what we've made it out to be. We can do so much better. There's nothing wrong with fossil fuels if we use them in moderation rather than as a lifeblood. I will admit that we've made some great strides. I love seeing turbines because they're an attempt, despite not being well thought through. There definitely needs to be done improvement in that area. I'm also super happy we have solar power becoming a norm. That's super important! Don't get me wrong, we aren't doing nearly enough for our planet, but at the same time, doing enough or moving towards a place where we can do more is super unobtainable for a lot of people right now. We're doing so good as a race but we've got a lot of work to do. Here are some ideas I have
- instead if giant wind turbines, perhaps limit them to household use. Smaller turbines might mean less bird deaths which could be huge. Also turbines can be used to power houses that can't be solar powered without great expense. This is all theoretical but in my mind it makes sense.
- invest way more heavily in dam power. Water will always run, why not get power from it? This may be tricky because we have to figure out a way to build hydro electric dams without fucking over the fish. We can't go from killing birds to killing fish. That's not right either
- make being earth friendly less of a stigma and more of a bonus. So many people (like myself) hate the eco friendly movement because of how poorly it's run. It's being forced on us by hippies who don't actually know the extent of what they're doing. I hate recycling cardboard because yuppies tell me it's important and judge me, on top of that, recycling cardboard in my city is a mess. You have to sign up for a program, pay fees, by special garbage bags, there's no actual pick up so you have to figure out what to do with it on your own. It's a big hassle. Why not do a collection similar to trash. Maybe keep the sign up sheet until the program grows?
- WE AS PEOPLE NEED TO BE BETTER. We need to research more and learn more about what we do. Most fans of turbines (did you get that joke?) don't realise the lithium needed is mined out of the ground. They also don't realize that turbines cost mote to build and maintain than it is to just use coal power or something like that (I don't remember the names of all the power types, Canada has been mostly oil focused lately)
- oil spills need to stop being stigmatized. No system is 100% efficient. That's the stuff of German myths and legends (that's a joke) instead why don't we just continue to pitch in where needed? If we reduce our oil consumption we reduce oil spills. Can't spill it if it's still in the ground.
- ACCESSIBILITY . If eco friendly things are as accesible as their counterparts, the choice becomes rather obvious.
- lastly, STOP BEING DICKS. Life is too short to bully or shame someone into being green. If they don't want to, don't force them. Like I said NO SYSTEM IS 100% EFFICIENT. You need to accept some people just wanna mine coal, puff black smoke out of their trucks, and power their houses with oil, wood, and other harmful means. That's okay because the majority will have made enough progress that it balances out with those who haven't come around yet. Patience will give us the keys to victory.
If you disagree with what I've said, That's fine. Don't be an asshole. If I'm wrong about stuff, educate me. Put some links in the comments or tell a story in there. The more perspectives we have, the better we can do. You can never have too much information.

Watch the first resident evil animated movie when Claire is in the airport. Look at how she looks at Leon when she first sees him. She's not relieved because a specially trained ace zombie agent is here to save the day, she's happy because it's Leon. The way they interact, it's like an amateur Mr and Mrs Smith. It's that intense adoration coupled with their professionalism. I ship it.
On another note, I DON'T ship valenfield. Chris and Jill are BEST FRIENDS. I know the old school voice acting isn't that great, but even though it's stiff, you can tell it isnt romantic. Jill wants Chris to be careful in that first scene the same way Stabler and Benson wish eachother the best. Jill looks at Chris like an older brother, as if they grew up together without any parents. Chris looks after Jill the same way, that's his baby sister, and he will be damned if something tries to get between him and his baby sister. Same with Claire. He adores her and Claire loves her older brother, that's why she went to Europe by herself.
The relationship I ship for Jill is with Carlos. By the end of the game Jill and Carlos are super close. Now I know the live action movies paint a different picture, but they're an abomination anyways so they don't matter. Besides, why else would Jill have gotten so wound up when Carlos says "You wanna ask me out? All the foxy ladies love my accent, it drives them crazy" she's a smart woman, if she wasn't interested she would've just said no. So we can confirm there's a bit of sexual tension between the two. Carlos admitted Jill was a babe (duh) and Jill showed him she wasn't not interested.

Same party happened in the original RE2 as Well, minus the locks on his desk
The saddest thing about RE2 is that the RCPD were going to throw Leon a welcome party but then they all died ;((
