Faerie being afraid of Jude is one of my favorite things ever. After all the things they've said about mortals , being terrified of a mortal queen is probably one of the most satisfying things I've ever read.

I have a hc of Jude covered in blood and gore after killing God knows how many of whatever she deemed worthy of eradication that night, joining Cardan in the throne room for audience with the general population and everyone is scared except Cardan who announces rather loudly that red really is her colour.

Cardan is just as much of an unreliable narrator as Jude (atleast when it comes to feelings and specifically feelings about each other)

Jude waited in the rafters for hours after being stabbed because she thought someone was going to kill Cardan, hugged him in front of the entirety of faerie when he got back (which is big for both of them) and still Cardan thought she was lying when she opened up about her feelings.
