Canon Qualities of Pansy Parkinson

I will be the first to admit my love of Pansy comes mostly from fanon, since the book does such a disservice to her. But here are some CANON qualities to admire/love/characterize her.

She was a leader among the Slytherins. A bully too, admittedly.

She actually seemed to get along with all the Slytherins she interacted with. You know, the house everyone judges unfairly straight off.

Resourcefulness, Cunning, Ambition, Self-Preservation, Cleverness, and Fraternity. These are all the qualities of the Slytherin house, meaning Pansy would have had to have at least some of those qualities.

She fucking cares about people? I mean, we see how concerned she is for Draco. That’s not an act or anything, she literally bursts into tears because he’s attacked by a hippogriff.

Clearly, she’s vengeful. She tries to get Hagrid fired because she blames him for what happened to Draco or to go along with him.

Basically, she fucking cares about Draco who goes off and marries Astoria just because J.K. Rowling didn’t like her.

According to Pottermore, it’s canon that Dransy was real.

She makes fun of people’s appearances. And people frequently make fun of hers.

We’re actually not sure about how she looks like. Rita describes her as “stunningly pretty”, Draco dates her, but Harry only ever seems to focus on her “pug-face”. That’s actually the only thing we know about her appearance.

She likes unicorns.

SHE’S A PREFECT. SHE’S NOT STUPID. Whether it was Snape or Dumbledore who picked her, either of them MUST have seen some admirable qualities in her.

Yeah, she was properly upset when Harry cast sectusempra on Draco. Because that could have killed him.

According to the wiki, Pansy may have had some sort of positive relationship with Parvati at some point.

Pansy attended the N.E.W.T.-level Defence Against the Dark Arts class. Therefore, she must have achieved a high O.W.L. score.

And the big one, yeah, she a scared teenage girl offered to hand Harry over.
