Sister Molly has a condition known as "Protracted Mandibular Dislocation." This is a medical condition that effects the structure of her jaw. Molly's teeth have trouble staying aligned. If she were to correct her teeth with a regular set of braces and her braces were removed, her teeth would immediately shift back out of position. Because of her condition, Molly is required to wear a special type of braces.

Sister Molly wears a special type of braces called "Perma-Braces." As the name implies, these braces are permanent and cannot be removed. Since regular braces wear down if kept on for too long, Molly's perma-braces are made of dense metals and equipped with strong elastics. This keeps Molly's brackets and wires from decaying and wearing down over time. And because her wires are very sturdy, she does not have to get her wires changed as often as people with regular braces do.

Along with her perma-braces, Sister Molly has to wear headgear as well. She is required to wear her headgear at night, but she can wear it during the day if she so desires. If Molly happens to wear her headgear during the day, she might choose to decorate her headgear. For example, she likes to attach cross charms to the sides of her headgear, which is one of her favorite looks.

Sister Molly has worn her perma-braces ever since she was 18. She is 37 as of now and is well aware that her braces aren't going anywhere anytime soon. However, despite her appearance, Molly does not let having to wear perma-braces put her down. She actually loves smiling and showing off her cool braces. She loves getting different colored brackets, but prefers wearing pink brackets. Molly heavily dislikes green brackets, and tends to get upset when they're the only color available.

Sister Molly doesn't really care if other people mock her appearance. For example, the other nuns she works with make fun of her smile, but Molly doesn't let their behavior get under their skin. Molly was raised well, and she knows it's not worth feeding into the negativity the other nuns throw at her. Molly has learned to accept her fate and is proud of the person she is today. Her braces are what makes her unique, and she wouldn't want to look any other way. ❤️

I’m begging everyone in the TADC fandom to not give Ragatha the Mabel/Leafy/Rose Quartz treatment. I’m already seeing people demonize the hell out of her for her moments of insincerity, her complex relationship with Jax, and her repressed negative emotions when that’s what the 👏 WHOLE 👏 EPISODE 👏 WAS 👏 ABOUT 👏 .

Jax expresses his belief of not pretending everything is okay when it’s not, and he’d be correct. No one should be expected to be happy all the time, let alone undermine situations when they’re severe. However, the episode also makes it clear that there’s a balance between being mean and standing your ground, exemplified with Pomni.

While Pomni and Jax tell Ragatha that it’s okay to be mean and express negative emotions at times, this is never suggested as a “be mean and push people away” mentality like Jax has been doing for a long time. Simply put, they’re just encouraging Ragatha to be more honest with how she feels, much to her dismay with her mother and people-pleasing attitude.

In fact, Zooble also makes a valid point. In the same way that Ragatha brushing off conflict is unhealthy, Jax bullying and hurting people (such as Gangle) isn’t the way to go either and I feel like a lot of people overlook this moment. Yeah, it’s good to be assertive and feel angry, sad, or disappointed. But it’s another thing to hurt others to feel better about your situation. Both Ragatha and Jax’s approaches to life are unhealthy and dangerous to themselves and the others around them, intentional or not.

Pomni even clears things up by suggesting she’s her own person, cementing her place as someone who allows themselves to not be mean while also being honest with how she’s feeling. Episode 3’s main moral was even about caring about the ones around you, so people claiming that Ragatha doesn’t actually care for the others really hurts.

If Jax expresses concern for the gang as the person he is, why wouldn’t Ragatha? Yes, she isn’t the most honest person in the room, but that doesn’t mean she’s fake and an actual mean-spirited person either. She genuinely does want to help people, but it comes at the expense of her own personal health and well-being. Everyone in this series comes with their own mental and emotional baggage, so putting certain characters in a “good” and “evil” section takes away the entire purpose of the show.

I’m just sick and tired of seeing female characters get the short end of the stick merely because of their negative experiences or moments of vulnerability. If we view Ragatha as some supervillain like her evil counterpart, who are we really fooling?
