Here, I wanna talk about DIY. I love DIY , so, I don't mind DIY weddings and actually I believe that some of the brides or grooms are have a great taste, unique aesthetics and way better execution than others. If you wanna give a go, here are some tips: 1. venue interior - make sure you know your venue interior and take advantage of it. The venue interior designs are actually quite important, it is going to effect your wedding style. Try to blend your DIY into the interior, it will work with harmony. 2. colour consistency - pick your colour palette and stick to it. It sounds very serious and artistic, actually it is not that hard. Don't panic if you can't find the perfect match colour, relax, it is DIY 3. extra hands - you need families and friends who can help you on the day. 4. have a fun - I mean it. If you are not enjoy doing it, then pass the job to somebody willing to do it for you. . Recently we have noticed some of the couples are struggling with balancing the styling and the budget. I feel bad to see couples compromise their dream wedding just because THE wedding is expensive. I have been discussed with Derek @florist_law about the issue, and we carefully designed a super deal for brides and grooms to reuse their ceremony backdrop for reception with no extra charge. Here is the update about what we are doing recently. You probably haven't seen us for couple weeks. That is because my phone was broken, camera was not working, the social media plan have been ruined. My hard drive is not responding, feels like all the digital devices are experiencing difficult time. 😕Anyway, they still haven't been fixed yet. The backup takes ages and they need to send them away to do fixing. Recently, I am working on few graphic designs for my lovely couples. Lucky, this is not involved too much smart devices, can be done by computer only. The invite's sets are totally different style, and try to keep them as personal as possible. Can't wait to see them in paper. This invite's mock up just one of the options I've done for Julee and Peter, they picked another one, but I really like this design, I am thinking it doesn't hurt to show the work to the public. The bespoke invitation design is part of your styling package. I will show a little bit more later. Couple projects I’m working on currently are graphic design for wedding stationeries. I know you can’t do everything by your own, but this is the one of design jobs I want to do myself. I have been amazed by the photo of putting all works together with different cards, paper and colours, still brings the harmony. I am little obsessed by the paper products and nice graphic design, can’t get over the feeling of touching. In wedding cases, the digital invites just cannot substitute the paper ones.
