Imagine the Warden and Inquisitor as Dalish elves who specialize in making unique tea blends.
What are the Companions favourites?
DAO:
Alistair: Enjoys anything the Warden gives him but is especially thankful for those that help him sleep or can energize him before a battle. Very practical.
Leliana: Enjoys fruity blends as they remind her of Orlais. Actually drinks it rather often after she learns the Warden can make them for her.
Wynne: Enjoys relaxing and comforting blends before bed. Nothing too strong or sweet. Just warm and cozy.
Oghren: Enjoys ones with an earthy taste to them, though he always adds varying amounts and types of alcohol. He probably can't even taste the tea anymore and just drinks it because the Warden spent the time to make it for him.
Sten: Has only one that he enjoys and nobody dares to bring up the fact that it's one the most flowery blends the Warden can make. He dips his cookies into it.
Morrigan: Takes the Warden's blends and changes them to her exact liking and standards, adding or removing things until she deems it perfect. Shares the changes she made with the Warden after, of course.
Zevran: Likes anything that can remind him of Antiva. Is especially partial to citrus, mint and anything that's warm and spiced.
Shale: She's a rock. She would laugh at the Warden for even offering. However, deep down, she does find it sweet that they would still offer despite knowing she can't actually taste or drink anything. It's the thought that counts.
Dog: The Warden makes an animal safe blend just for him. He, of course, doesn't care at all about the taste and will lap up anything given to him. Knowing this, the Warden gives him brews that specifically help improve his immune system as deep down they worry that the sickness from Ostagar will return or have lasting effects.
(Bonus) Loghain: Drinks it so black it looks like molasses. It's horrifically bitter and tastes like medicine. When the Warden offers to make him something actually tasty, he refuses. At this point they're starting to think he only drinks it to punish himself.
DAI:
Cassandra: You would think she'd like something super fancy but really, she just likes the most basic black tea imaginable. It's more efficient. Drinks it while reading and has actually spit it out comedic style whenever something especially spicy happens out of nowhere. Varric has scolded her about getting tea on his books but it just keeps on happening.
The Iron Bull : More of a coffee drinker. Likes it dark. Really dark. Like a dark roast brewed for 5 days kind of dark. Enjoys the bitterness of it. Probably adds dragon blood when no one is looking.
Blackwall: He likes teas that start out as something... but turn out to be something else. Like a bitter tea that finishes sweet or vise versa. No particular reason. None at all.
Varric: Politely refuses whatever the Inquisitor has to offer. Not because he won't like it, he's sure he would, but he has his own gifted to him from the Hawke family. It's a blend that's been in the family for generations and well, he's family. The Inquisitor cries about this later.
Cole: He will break down and describe every single detail and flavour to a scientific degree. He will even bring up the memories of someone who drank a similar blend last week. Everyone else's tea will be cold by the time he's done. And then, when asked if he likes it, he will just respond with "yes, I liked it when I could taste the dreams inside" and everyone would not be able to look at that tea the same ever again.
Sera: Enjoys tea that's super sweet, such as blends with vanilla, or cherries or chocolate. If it isn't sweet enough already, she will add excessive amounts of honey to it to make it sickeningly, candy sweet. Also lots of honey because bees. Everything somehow always comes back to bees.
Solas: If he has high enough approval, and I'm talking like really high here, he will try it for the Inquisitor's sake, but in his own words "It is tea. I detest the stuff". Will try to give a real, honest review of it anyway. He fails.
Vivienne: Refuses anything unless it's the finest tea blend made with the most expensive ingredients and topped with gold flakes. However, when the Inquisitor finally breaks her down enough to try at least one blend of their own, Vivienne claims it's just 'fine' but the cooks whisper about having seen her sneaking it at night when she thinks no one is looking.
Dorian: Will try anything you give him and give the most in depth, detailed review you can imagine. Like this makes Cole's look like child's play and the Inquisitor has no idea how he does it. He is explaining flavour profiles like he's a professor and the Inquisitor is attending his class. And somehow, he improves every single blend he tries no matter how good it started out. It must be some kind of Tevinter magic.

Once you’ve looked over all those cool links, I have some general advice for you on how you can have some sort of support system going for you:
Reasons to move out of home
You may decide to leave home for many different reasons, including:
wishing to live independently
location difficulties – for example, the need to move closer to university
conflict with your parents
being asked to leave by your parents.
Issues to consider when moving out of home
It’s common to be a little unsure when you make a decision like leaving home. You may choose to move, but find that you face problems you didn’t anticipate, such as:
Unreadiness – you may find you are not quite ready to handle all the responsibilities.
Money worries – bills including rent, utilities like gas and electricity and the cost of groceries may catch you by surprise, especially if you are used to your parents providing for everything. Debt may become an issue.
Flatmate problems – issues such as paying bills on time, sharing housework equally, friends who never pay board, but stay anyway, and lifestyle incompatibilities (such as a non-drug-user flatting with a drug user) may result in hostilities and arguments.
Your parents may be worried
Think about how your parents may be feeling and talk with them if they are worried about you. Most parents want their children to be happy and independent, but they might be concerned about a lot of different things. For example:
They may worry that you are not ready.
They may be sad because they will miss you.
They may think you shouldn’t leave home until you are married or have bought a house.
They may be concerned about the people you have chosen to live with.
Reassure your parents that you will keep in touch and visit regularly. Try to leave on a positive note. Hopefully, they are happy about your plans and support your decision.
Tips for a successful move
Tips include:
Don’t make a rash decision – consider the situation carefully. Are you ready to live independently? Do you make enough money to support yourself? Are you moving out for the right reasons?
Draw up a realistic budget – don’t forget to include ‘hidden’ expenses such as the property’s security deposit or bond (usually four weeks’ rent), connection fees for utilities, and home and contents insurance.
Communicate – avoid misunderstandings, hostilities and arguments by talking openly and respectfully about your concerns with flatmates and parents. Make sure you’re open to their point of view too – getting along is a two-way street.
Keep in touch – talk to your parents about regular home visits: for example, having Sunday night dinner together every week.
Work out acceptable behaviour – if your parents don’t like your flatmate(s), find out why. It is usually the behaviour rather than the person that causes offence (for example, swearing or smoking). Out of respect for your parents, ask your flatmate(s) to be on their best behaviour when your parents visit and do the same for them.
Ask for help – if things are becoming difficult, don’t be too proud to ask your parents for help. They have a lot of life experience.
If your family home does not provide support
Not everyone who leaves home can return home or ask their parents for help in times of trouble. If you have been thrown out of home or left home to escape abuse or conflict, you may be too young or unprepared to cope.
If you are a fostered child, you will have to leave the state-care system when you turn 18, but you may not be ready to make the sudden transition to independence.
If you need support, help is available from a range of community and government organisations. Assistance includes emergency accommodation and food vouchers. If you can’t call your parents or foster parents, call one of the associations below for information, advice and assistance.
Where to get help
Your doctor
Kids Helpline Tel. 1800 55 1800
Lifeline Tel. 13 11 44
Home Ground Services Tel. 1800 048 325
Relationships Australia Tel. 1300 364 277
Centrelink Crisis or Special Help Tel. 13 28 50
Tenants Union of Victoria Tel. (03) 9416 2577
Things to remember
Try to solve any problems before you leave home. Don’t leave because of a fight or other family difficulty if you can possibly avoid it.
Draw up a realistic budget that includes ‘hidden’ expenses, such as bond, connection fees for utilities, and home and contents insurance.
Remember that you can get help from a range of community and government organizations.

If you're a writer and you see this post, stop what you're doing.
WHENEVER YOU SEE THIS POST ON YOUR DASH, STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING AND WRITE ONE SENTENCE FOR YOUR CURRENT PROJECT.
Just one sentence. Stop blogging for one minute and write a single sentence. It could be dialogue, it could be a nice description of scenery, it could be a metaphor, I don’t care. The point is, do it. Then, when you finish, you can get back to blogging.
If this gets viral, you might just have your novel finished by next Tuesday.

DAI Companions: Fighting Styles
Don’t know what you’d call these. Headcannons? My interpretation of what actually happens in the game? I don’t know but here, this was on my mind so you can have it now too.
Cassandra - Protective and disruptive, her shield planted in front of the mage, bursts of dispelling energy washing across the battlefield, a prayer whispered on her lips, another foe falling for the Maker to pick up, wasted life, wasted potential, another who’s wasted their breath.
The Iron Bull - Brute and blunt force, bashing through barriers and barreling through formations with the force of a dragon, wide arching sweeps, great roars of rage, blood and scarring, pain fueling strength, the enemies blood runs cold, easy pickings.
Blackwall - Body guarding and battering, backing enemies into corners, one slash, another falls, his allies feeling themselves grow stronger, a body blocking a bolt from a mages staff, a wide smile, he takes another blow for the rogue, it is worth it, healing the wound in their place, acceptance, aggravated, another must fall.
Cole - Silent and deadly, a ghost flickering and fleeting, fading and weaving in, around and through, graceful and fluid like flowing water, fierce and precise, blades a blur, it’ll never see him coming, a quick and clean kill, they will never hurt anyone again.
Sera - Chaotic and instinctual, flasks of fire and frost and lightning coating her body and her bow, arrows pulled loose and lazy, hitting whatever she sees first, bees and poisons and grenades, whatever she can find to get the job done faster, a bubbly cackle, a spin of her heel, you’re next.
Varric - Tactical and planned, hurricanes of arrows raining down on choke points, traps cracking, razor sharp, watch the Kid weave around a leg-hold spring, call to Chuckles, mental notes, over-exaggerated details, heroics and villainous laughs, Bianca singing her song of death, one two three.
Solas - Cold and calculated, whispers of the Fade, manipulative, controlled, push and pull, slow and stop, freeing forces of the Beyond, rippling in bursts, rifts ripping to shreds, once more, but careful, delicate, never too much, always controlled, always cold, always calculated.
Dorian - Flashy and beautiful, dancing flames, colourful shocks of lightning, glistening shards of ice, dazzling, exuberant, distracting the enemy, an easy target, a dance, a performance, instilling fear, striking and stalking, dark energies wrapped up in an enigma, a skilled twirl of his staff, he begins another dance.
Vivienne - Callous and distant, a closed heart, empty eyes, a game of life and death, punishing, playing for survival, fought with skill, merciless, flash frozen fear, a storm of ice and snow, severe, unforgiving, no room for weakness, never a mistake, perfection, eyes falling lifeless, it’s nothing personal.
