the notes on that last poll are insane there was someone who said they separate fics into "porn" and "story" and they didnt stop for a second to think that sex in and of itself might be a story??? the way some of you people trivialize sex and explicit art is fucking bonkers to me. you sound like a christian when you act like sex cheapens art or like art focusing on sex is a completely separate category from non-sexual art. explicit fics, yes even pwp (which i believe is a misnomer anyways), are telling stories and they're stories worth telling because sex is normal and healthy and deeply important to many of us. just because something gets you off doesn't mean it's cheap or meaningless. i'd argue that things that engage the viewer sexually are very meaningful because human sexuality is complex and beautiful and worth sharing and exploring. Grow up and read about the guys you like sucking eachother off

One of my friends has two adopted daughters who are 6 and 7. Because they have totally different genetics, the 6y/o had trouble eating until she had a corrective surgery and is therefore very short and thin for her age and the 7y/o is very tall and by BMI is “obese” but if you look at her you can tell it’s all muscle, she’s very athletic.

Anyway everyone likes to pick up the six-year-old because of course she weighs nothing and can be tossed around very easily but I’ve made it my goal to let the seven-year-old feel the fun of getting tossed around too, since kids that age love it — but damn we played a lot yesterday and I totally effed my back, legs, and arms by not being more careful. Literally feeling it even in my glutes.

Best whole-body workout is evidently swinging around a third-grader for half an hour.

here's a fun parchment fact for you re: reusing a surface: sheepskin was often used for legal documents because it's hard to scrape out a word and rewrite without it being obviously damaged, unlike good quality calfskin where it can be undetectable that something has been altered

The way you change your immediate reactions to things is that you catch yourself having an uncharitable/bigoted/overly judgmental thought and you catch it and replace it and then you do that a hundred times a day for your whole life and eventually one day like five years later you realize that you think differently now and you’ll always be working on something but that’s how life goes and that’s fine.
