This is how I will remember them... In love, fighting for each other. Fighting for their love. I'm not gonna let some lazy / shitty writing take that away from us. Season 6 doesn't exists. The June we knew would never have sacrificed Nick like that. The Nick we knew has never been a " fucking nazi ". He was so much more complex than that. I mean, c'mon, even Serena and Aunt Lydia can have their " redemption arc " but not him ? I hate what they did to them. Everything is so fucking out of character, it makes no sense. They wanted to kill Nick ? ( Even if he's supposed to be in the Testaments ). Okay. But let his death be meaningful. Let him die with purpose. So no, I reject this ending. I reject everything they've done. To me, it doesn't exists.

I haven't seen Last episode, and i must say i wasn't really invested in season 5 or in the release of season 6 ...

But seeing the fandom being torn apart in between the fans really bugs me.

The handmaid's tale is supposed to be well the handmaid's tale! We follow june's journey. Margaret attwood planted a beautiful story of sisterhood and love despite the fight against a fascist goverment. And the fact that friendship and love helped her find the strenght to do that is important in my opinion.

And the fact that we have the follow up in the testaments gives us a leading route to june's future.

And well she was helped by nick and nick's character being described as well first of all alive, but also "so deep into the resistance he needed a breathing tube" i think gave us the impression they would follow the book material and make nick a great double agent of some sort for the final season. And well tv series are supposed to follow book materials, but oh well ... that didn't happen.

And you can't be angry of the people that are devastaded at the moment because the writers didn't respect a very important story.

But i also understand the people Who are happy with nick's death, because well yes, the series made him into a nazi and in a way he deserved to die, because, this is june's journey against gilead and she can't fight them with People still on gilead's side.

But all in all, this is just lazy writing and a big disapointment...
